I just installed my train horns, over the last 2 Saturdays, the kit fought me every step of the way. But its finally installed , and it is insanely loud....lol, and like you said despite all the headaches installing it, hearing it for the first time, makes all the headaches go away... worth every penny!!!! great vids man I am a huge truck fan my family has a 1997 2500 12v Cummins 6 speed manual. ext cab, deleted, upgraded fuel system and has over 400,000 miles and the only major problem is 5th gear is out and still runs and drives fine

When you wire your reverse lights wire them to your tail lights. Just tape into your light in your tail lights. Saves you a lot of time!!

My train horn was an ever living nightmare, I got so sick of the confusing wiring, and then having it for years in Minnesota the wires were constantly corroded and breaking off. So I solved the problem and put a manual air valve in mine. Would 100% recommend that over wiring anyday. But this video is 100% accurate on owning a train horn. The excitement and the frustration

Grizz 2 might you enlighten us on what a “sema” truck has that his doesn’t beside air level or any level suspension?🤔 and all that he didn’t put on the truck hisself was the lift.

Should have used a momentary switch button for horn so it only goes off while you hold the button down and stops when you release.. makes it a lot more fun too

Rough Country sells a Multi switch that has 1 cable that runs inside with 6 button controll switch and a box that you run all your wiring to that goes under your hood. I have it and it is Awesome and everything is very neat. I have train horn and all lights hooked up to it and it's well worth $200 must have.

Grounds cause all kinds of intermittent problems and failures. Good clean bare metal contact is needed. Wiring /connections exposed underneath or under hood need Dielectric Grease smeared on em and be sealed as much as possible with proper sealed terminals/connectors etc. The water, salt will corrode exposed metals quickly making them fail

fyi when using a bolt for a ground you need to remove the paint where your connector touches the frame. I usually test to make sure it works then paint over everything after it is done. A bolt will be a better ground in the long run then a tec screw.

We need that orange and "teal" blue color in t-shirts. I'd rock those esp the orange getting out of my 2013 limited orange STI.

The problem for blowing fuses is that you connected all the wires directly to the battery and grounds to your truck I highly recommend to re wire your positive connections to a relay to avoid over heating your wires and blow more fuses those compressors run hot after awhile, just follow a diagram Google has alot of great images and do the same with your rear pods awesome build 👍

just make sure that switch can handle the amps put out from the horn bc mine couldn't and I ended up having to buy a push button switch from hornblasters

With train horns they have a shut off after around 150 psi and I use a 30 amp for mine. If it keeps blowing a fuse it could be a bad compressor

So cool! I would love to have a truck as big as that but I think for my first car (ik I'm not driving yet I'm only 17) I'm gonna buy possibly a 64 Ford T-Bird or a 69 Z28 SS Camaro. And lemme tell ya when I say those were the mean cars back in the day. Wish I was born back then so I could drive one but sadly they don't make them anymore. But hopefully I'll get to buy one when I get the chance.

Why didnt you get a Fuse tap and tap into a fuse that gets power when the key is on? That way you dont have to cut the harness.
