If you didnt already, check the subwoofer setting in the radio and make sure the subwoofer output is turned on. Alot of manufacturers have that option turned off from the factory.

I was going to say the same thing. I know alot of decks will have the subwoofer output audio turned off but amp will still turn on just won’t produce audio

Or also another thing on some some decks if using Bluetooth there’s another setting to have audio just come out front channels instead of all channels which sometimes disables the subwoofer amp output. Had that happen with an alpine double din. I was like amp is on but no audio so I looked in settings and saw Bluetooth from audio only so I clicked on all channels and my subs came to life

To all the man hours in this truck down to every nut and bolt, and every wire stripped and crimped, keep up the good work!

I did full force 180/30s, kc300x stage 1, intake, exhaust, hydra with titan tunes and edge cts2 for my guages. Stock fuel system and hpop and don’t plan to change. I love it.

Gucci setup, I would also look into Jelibuilt and 1023 tuning.

I love this channel, I'm a old man 61 and I love this stuff. I love the channel, love the content. I have done all the work on my 2018 Silverado. steps, bumpers, coil overs, rear shocks. Just learning from you... Keep up the great work...

I’d do 160/30 injectors with hydra tunes for sure, also do a kc300x turbo if you want but I bet you will want to keep the original one since it’s powder coated already

Hit up Full Force Diesel and they will be able to hook you up with the injectors you need along with some tuning. I just bought some Stage 3 205cc 30% Hybrid injectors. They may recommend something different but definitely the best 7.3 injector guys on the market. 7.3 injectors aren't like cummins where you just buy 100 over and call it good. Definitely talk with them so you can get the correct set up for what the truck is going to be doing. Took me a long time to decide on a set for my truck

With some stereo head units you have to go in to the settings and change the settings to allow the output to travel through ALL units and not just the speaker output. Ram into same issue with system in my truck.

You can do 180/30 single shots on a stock HPOP, or you can do 205/30 hybrids but you'll need an upgraded HPOP to flow enough oil for them. 1023 Diesel is a yt channel that consistently puts out heavily detailed info on the 7.3 performance. They were a huge help for me, they will even get on a call with ya and do a build plan for the performance of all the technical stuff. They also do all the tuning of all the different tuners.. ts, hydra, livewire, etc.

I completely agree with this dude. BUT, the 205/30s are a B Code injector or a Hybrid and require less hpop oil so you could run a stock hpop although they also cost 600 dollars more and have the same horsepower as the 205/30s.

@@cameronsanburn9768 I thought the 205/30 was a bored out oil cavity that wasn't over stroked as to keep the hpop pressure more consistent.. either way I cited 1023 so if hes serious about getting the performance he'll reach out to them and they know for sure

Setting gains and seeing what your max volume of your head unit is before it sends out distortion is so much easier to do with an o-scope.

Do the Blue Spring swap kit on the side of fuel bowl. It’s amazing it raises the fuel pressure big time and it cleared up the injection issues I though I was having runs perfect now. Check your MAP sensor passenger firewall check hoses and wire harness. Hope this helps you out!

Blue Spring mod is a 6.0 thing. Not a 7.3 thing

Make sure your subwoofer input is turned on in settings on stereo 👌🏼 great build coming along 👍🏻

Audio systems are a absolute pain in the ass, but the first ride with a new audio system makes it all worth it

just a heads up, there's a bowl drain on the back on the fuel bowl. There's usually alot of trash in the bottom of the bowl that needs to be cleaned out. I've also seen old orings from the lid in the bottom.

I have built 2 and I only go with Full Force Diesel injectors with jelibuilt tunes on a hydra. I go with 180/80% injectors but im not sure a stock turbo will be able to clean that up so you may run a little smokey.

You could run 180/30s or up to 205/100s and that would be safe on the stock motor and tranny. Full force diesel have a good selection and they tell you the hp rating for their injectors. They are also “hybrid” injectors which means upgrading your hoop isn’t necessary. I would definitely recommend paring them with a hydra chip and custom tuning tho…

Full force diesel has package deals. I have them on my 2003 7.3 and I love them. You can get injectors and the tuner with tunes all together

You need to change the oil for the injectors. It is in front of the fuel filter.

Go with the hydra I have had both and the hydra has way more capability plus has whisper mode for the drive through vallet mode and high idle

Definitely upgrade to the single shot injectors which is basically anything bigger than stock, 180/30 injectors would be the best bang for your buck and be able to run stock turbo as well as not risk breaking connecting rods, with it being a 99 you may have forged rods as they used the remaining forged rods they had in 99 but then switched to powdered metal rods which anything over 450 horse you are risking breaking, the forged can handle closer to 600 but best to stay under 450 if you don’t know what you have for rods. But 180/30s will give you a good power bump and still remain on stock turbo and hpop

I have full force 180/30s and not pleased with them they haze a lot. If I had to do it again I would do unlimited diesel. Night shift diesel can hook you up with those I would call them. They have the best knowledge when it comes to 7.3 stuff

Sometimes those fuel filter housings get hairline cracks in them and you’ll get a slow fuel leak, my 2000 had this problem and those bowls are damn near $400 new

My buddy has 2 12s and the amp. They worked fine for a while but now they just totally stopped the subs get power becuase when I touch the positive and negative coming from amp they spark a little bit. Not sure what’s going on he probably screwed them up as he is not very smart. As far as I can see they are wired correct and I think the Amps tuned right. Maybe you or someone else has seen something like this and have some advice? Thanks

Do a set of full force diesel stage 1’s. You won’t regret it

your aftermarket radio has a setting and you have to go in and change your audio settings I believe you have to change something in the door speaker settings, I can’t quite remember where to find it. I know this isn’t a lot of help but putting that out there. I do not believe it’s anything you did. So check all your radio settings.

You should make sure the radio if it has sub controls on it to make sure its turn on on the head unit

I hope you accounted for the impedance change when connecting both sets of terminals on the outside of the box. It acts the same as combining voice coil wiring. Its not the load on the subs that is changing, it's the load the amp will be pushing. Rockville is also not a very high end brand, you're much better off with Rockford Fosgate, JL, Skar, or Alpine

That's what I was thinking while watching this. It sounded like he was hooking one sub in series and I couldn't follow how he hooked both subs together. I don't know anything about the amp he's using. Basic trouble shooting, hook up one sub/coil at at time and go from there.

I run the KC Turbos KC300X stage 2 against those injectors and im getting just over 600 hp on a dyno

Get 1023 diesel tunes on a hydra and swamps diesel hybrid injectors the 7.3s love those

meanwhile my 7.3 has an old pioneer radio that stays on when you turn the truck off 😂

Use a little vasoline on that filter bub..hit me up if ya need anything in Mo!

I would definitely not put the wire running from the outside of the box terminal to the other one and just running 1 to the amp, you won't hit as hard. Run them normal way and then take both positives twist them and put it in the amp and do the same for negative and you'll get a better sound from the subs. 👍🏼

I had 180/80 with a hydra worked well lots of egts hydra are so cheap now and on the fly I would go that way

I would recommend 180/30s from Unlimited diesel performance and a KC turbos stage 2 turbo along with a riffraff diesel FRX, a CNC Fab high pressure crossover, and a at the very least a transmission shift kit. That would be good for about 400RWHP. Anything over this and you WILL need a built trans, upgraded lift pump, headstuds are recommended, and you are kind of pushing your stock bottom end. If you want more, i would run a set of 205/80s or 238/80s. Both would put you up around 500hp with a stage two or three KC turbo (S363 and S366) however once you get past the 400hp mark you start to run into engine longevity issues. DO NOT buy 205/30s or 160/100s under any circumstances. They are pointless injectors. 180/30s make the same HP as 205/30s and are $600 cheaper. and 160/100s Have way too big a nozzle and it makes it almost impossible to tune the smoke out of them. You would be sacrificing drivability for literally no horse power gain.Once you jump to hybrids, anything over 180cc, you switch to a 5:1 injection ratio instead of a 7:1 with the stock A codes. You sacrifice fuel atomization above 180s (you are switching from an A to a B code injector) but it is nessecary to make more power. Once again I like 180/30s are you’re best bet.
