🏁 DIY Time Attackers: Ordinary Guys doing Extraordinary Things | TRACKSIDE

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

#wtac #superlap #haltech
WTAC is the pinnacle of time attack racing and the domain of the world’s fastest, most radical time attack machines. We’ve all grown so accustomed to these big horsepower, big-budget, purpose-built. bewinged machines and the teams behind them that they’ve almost become synonymous with the event.
But in this video, we celebrate a different kind of racer. A do-it-yourself, modest budget type of a guy whose crew often consists of family and friends and whose car is often just a modified daily. That’s right - today we look at the most affordable and easily accessible class of WTAC - the Haltech Clubsprint Class.

Project 7dere is the reason I got into RX7's. Not only that, but when I was having issues with my car, Rahul decided to reach out to me and help me with my ducting setup, which now works flawlessly. He drives the pants off that car! and I'm so stoked with how far he's come! 👍

I really liked this vid. Always cool to see 'grassroots' (maybe(not?) the correct term) racing in action. It looks like bonkers fun and if you see a naturally aspirated mx-5 going for it then it makes you say to yourself 'If he can do it then I reckon I can do it as well'.

THANKS! It was great to be on this video and apologies for the car not performing as it should have... The oil leak is now fixed and the down on power as well has been solved... I honestly think it has a 1:45 in it!

Great video! As much as I love seeing the big Open and Pro (& Pro-Am) class cars run around because they are absolute feats of engineering, they are out of the realm of possibility for the average person. Loved the coverage of the Sprint class guys and the stories behind their (more realistic) cars. Awesome to see how differently people interpret the rules and where they focus the majority of their attention on the vehicles. Oh also, GO PAUL! Hoping to come out one year with either my 944 or 911 and challenge him to a P-car duel!

I am building a turbo 1UZ A70 supra track car (PS2000) which unfortunately puts it in the open class but its going to be a blast regardless. Its all about having fun and pushing your own limits as these guys say, good on you Haltech for covering these down to earth builds

Shame the rules opened up. Why not lock down the rules to keep it COMPETITIVE for the DIY guy.
