I learned stained glass art in high school. With no protective eye ware, mask, or gloves. I'm old. Anyway, we learned to always make straight cuts. So if we needed a circle or curved piece we would make straight cuts, one at a time, around it. There was usually more sanding needed on those pieces. BTW I got an A+ on my final with a iridescent pink conch shell that I still have to this day.

I can't decide what intrigues me more: The photographic evidence of your alcoholic adventures as a whole, the bunch of olives cramped on the stirrer holding on for dear life, the sight of the oil clinging to the glass....or your face🤣 or the thought that the smell of olives alone would make me flee the scene of the crime. I dont know, i guess you really have to love making bar customers happy to serve something like that thinking: I just give her what she wants - basically salad vinegrette!

Dirty Martini was my first signature cocktail! A classic! I, too, have special international dirty martini stories! Whilst living in Rwanda, I ordered one, and they brought me a large glass of martini BRAND vermouth. Just vermouth. With a splash of olive juice. And 5 olives. I tried-SO HARD!-to drink it. Oof. Also, as ever, Katy and Baguette sass, FTW! And, you make diy look so easy! Thanks!

Oh nooooooooooo! I would die trying to drink that. WAIT! This gave me a flashback of when I worked at Disneyland. It was the opposite. A man asked for a martini. And we kept bringing versions, and he was getting angry. Then we realized he just wanted a shot of the vermouth.

@@LaughCryDIY curves are very hard, I'm surprised you got it but it's also thin glass. One way to cause less breakage is to do sort of straight lines angling off the curve like follow the line until it curves and keep going straight, then break that excess off, then the next bit, then break that excess and so on. I dunno if that makes sense.

@@LaughCryDIY I like many things, for glass etching I have an old tote, cut 3 sides and back, wrapped in clear plastic (allowing for light transfer, I'm an old dog, going blind lol) that also comes down over the front, that front has a piece of clear glass taped on.( again good for visual reasons). it was cheap to make. Having a fully wrapped container for working with glass is good for safety for yourself and little Miss Baggy as she likes to join you. I had 2 senior puddy's that joined me too. Bonus, use of a container also helps with clean up. I also have a second box made of glass for metal crafting, avoid metal cutting inside , you need ventilation, and working inside a glass box is safer . have fun experimenting , much love from da Rock love.
