Oh my goodness, I love your grandma! Such a lovely queen of a woman! I cannot get over how talented and skilled she is too! Those paintings are stunning! And her home is so interesting and beautiful! Thank you for sharing this with us! I wanted to say too…I’m 49 and lost my own grandmother around 6 months ago. She was an absolute angel in my eyes…an angel who also had some sass and spunk. I know I’m incredibly lucky to have had her for 49 years but I still miss her and think of her every day. It really touches my heart that you value and cherish your grandma. Society seems to discount the elderly at times but our older loved ones can teach us so much and provide a love that lingers long after they are gone. Sorry for the novel length reply there. Long distance hugs for your grandma! She’s amazing!

How beautiful to have such a warm and loving relationship with grandma. Love her style with that color block sweater. And her paintings are incredible. I am so impressed that she did not start painting til her sixtys. What an accomplishment. I can see why that one won first place. I am 73 and have 3 grown grandsons. I am not sure they would think any of my stuff is cool. I have lots of blue and white china, tarnished patina silver, brass and copper pots and candle sticks and vessels. It will all end up in an estate sale , I'm sure. Oh well, the pleasure it gave me all these years was worth it.

I love it. The ladies on my mom's side of the family have lived well into their 90's & 100's. I remember my mom and I driving by my grandmas house when my mom swung the old Pontiac station wagon into the driveway to yell at her mom. My grandma (99 at the time) had climbed the old wooden ladder into the apricot tree. She was of course was wearing a dress, with knee high nylons and sensible shoes. My mother yelled "Mom get out of that tree!" Grandma who was picking apricots and putting them in her apron yelled back, "They're ripe." HaHa - my grandma lived to be 104, her two sisters 100 & 101. My aunt is currently 102! I'm gonna be around for a while. Thank your grandma for sharing!!!

Any design, just those old amazingly soft sheets. Any chance she'd adopt me? I grew up with those sheets. It's hard to describe them to someone who hasn't slept on them before..just buttery soft yumminess! Oh how I miss them. You cracked me up with the bathroom trashcan...I have a mint green/aqua one that is older than me and I'm in my 60's😱 (And in PERFECT condition) (the trashcan, not me) Katy, this was a WONDERFUL video. Oh my goodness this was like drinking a cup of sunshine! Your Grandma is beautiful and talented and her house is so lovely. I couldn't even keep up with all the things that I kept saying I love in her house. That tea cup set (pink and gold) would make me pass out in a store if I saw it-tea cup maniac that I am. I'm also a peacock maniac so the other set would having me picking myself up also. And the linen closet with all those vintage sheets and the colors combo's of the towels- goals! This vid had me so happy and worked up at the same time. I loved it! Thanks for sharing your Grandma and her lovely home with us Katy! You bring such joy!

Your grandma is beautiful and her flowers and her artwork and her furniture is gorgeous. I have a dark walnut mid century bedroom set that my parents bought probably around 1960 maybe 62. I have my mom‘s antique sewing machine and base that she got from her mom who made her clothes on it all the time. My mom passed in 2021. She was with me for 13 years after she couldn’t be in her home anymore. It was a pleasure to have although years with her. That’s some very special memories that will last me a lifetime.

I loved this tour and your gramma so much!!! I’m 61, so this house and the contents remind me very much of the home my mother I grew up in. Mom passed a few years ago, but she would be 97 now. She also kept an immaculate house. People your Gramma’s age, bought what they loved and didn’t keep changing their decor. They were not wasteful people. Gramma’s garden is spectacular. I love the atrium and the mid century style. I wanted to see the whole house in detail. ❤ I just have to subscribe because you are both such lovely ladies. I also love to garden but I wished I lived in a warm climate like Gramma! Greetings from Canada’s capital city, Ottawa 🇨🇦

My grandmother did that with me , and l still have fond memories of discussing the story ( or what she could remember) behind everything. It made me less sad to “ take “ her things . I am a grandmother now and l love telling my grandsons about my things and that one day they can have what they want. It’s nice when grandchildren want a little of our history.
