DIY Loft Bed

If you have a small room or apartment, then a loft bed is a great way to get some extra space. Our apparent doesn't have high ceilings so the bed needs to be fairly short, but we still got a ton of extra storage this way.
The design is very simple so you can easily make it yourself with dimensions that fit your particular space. If you use pre-cut lumber you can make this DIY loft bed with just a few basic tools.

thanks man, i been look at diy loft beds for a little bit now checking out others designs. yours is the first one to use the barrel nut and cross bolt idea and that seems really strong and seeing as im 250lb's i needed something with a little extra strength. thanks for the idea

is it posible to make it 200cm x 180cm with your prints and still have it safe without adding more support ?

I think that it could be ok, but please don't take my word for it... Do a calculation on your own. Anchoring the bed to the wall is a good idea as well, adds much more stability.

Hi, I had all the rough lumber laying around, so that didn't cost any money, but a lot of time. The hardware was around 35 USD and the mattress around 200 USD. I will add a plan with exact measurements ASAP... In the meantime, the bed is 150 cm high and the mattress is 160x200 cm (queen size).
