@@raphaelcabrera6910 Why is Disgaea 3 garbage? I've never understood exactly WHY people in the Disgaea community tend to shun or otherwise say that Disgaea 3 is their least favorite of the series. Please present your testimony to the court, giving reasons and facts in your answer Raphael Cabrera. I wanna know YOUR reasoning for why Disgaea 3 is garbage so that part of the shroud of mystery behind why some dislike this game will be solved (for me anyway). Also, many Disgaea fans tend to also forget the existence of Disgaea D2 as well which I cannot fathom why besides probably poor marketing for it.

@@pinkpeacock313 if your looking for a good storyline and lots of extra endgame content the disgaea 4 complete is a very good start. For gamplay value and mechanisms d5 is next. And 3 runner up would be disgaea 2

If you haven't played a disgaea game yet they are really good, think fire emblem, but WAY MORE anime and everything is just insanity, also penguins that say dood, what's not to love?

There was also Ogre Battle Tactics, but since Square bought the IP, it has been dead. Ogre Battle 64 is still my favorite N64 RPG! Which is funny to say, as there was only like 3 RPGs on N64, and only 2 were any good.

That Cam-Pain poster though. It's amazing.

Got this on psvita, I'm noy sure if I would double dip but I definitely recommend people to give this series a try. :)

I hope to RL RNG that they make a HD remake for Disgaea 3. That game, while fully aware that Mao was the "I have daddy issues" MC, was still a great game I played on the PS3/Vita

That's just the order the the 'complete' versions are coming out in general. 2 and 3 don't have 'complete' versions. And 5 and 1 came to switch the same time they came to other platforms like PS4 or PC. So it's not just switch, this weird order is for all platforms, although most of them have older releases of the other games while nintendo doesn't.

Fullmetal Gamer the Switch itself did not release until about that time. Disgaea 5 did get released around the launch of Switch as I guess it was planned in advance.

I already bought the digital version, but.......that Sardines poster is tempting.

None of the stories in the games are connected aside from D1 to DD2 (not to be confused with D2). Start wherever you want.

I love the fact they bring still the whole Disgaea Series on Switch. And don't forget guys the real challenge is beat all with a Army Prinnies 😁

2 is awesome, I think you'll love it! D2 is meh, it's fun and all, but imagine Disgaea 1 but with boring new characters, less of a cast overall, and a lot less charm.

I remember playing the original disgaea on ps2

jsut a heads up, Nippon ichi software needs financial help, so buying their awesome games would help alot~

Okay, but does this one actually have the multiplayer aspect? I've been burned by you before, NIS and Switch. Still Disgaea 4 has my favorite mechanics of the Disgaea series thus far, so this is incredibly tempting.

If they did make a new one, I hope that they'd tune down the difficulty. The first game's difficulty curve completely shatters later in the game, culminating in one of the cheapest final bosses in video game history, and the sequel starts out cheap from the very beginning.

Wish soul nomad would have a port too :(

Or maybe it's got something to do with the fact that Disgaea 3 is the least popular game in the series. If they're ever planning on releasing a complete version of it for the Switch, it'll probably be after Disgaea 2 Complete

@@hildahilda9468 A voice actor known for sjw/men hating controversies (including changing voice lines to push her anti patriarchy agenda) accused him of sexual harassment with no actual evidence and admitted she was just jealous that he's more popular. Obvious ploy to destroy his reputation. But because she's a woman, she was believed anyway, so his entire career is now ruined over nothing proven to have happened. It is possible that's the reason considering Nintendo decided to change Byleth's male voice actor over a sudden online controversy, where his ex-girlfriend accused the voice actor of sexual assault with zero court proceedings or police involvement days before the game released, despite the alleged situations happening years ago. However just the accusation was enough for Nintendo to replace his voice and strip his name from the credits.

Voice actors from DBZ are jealous of his fame, and tried to smear him by #metooing him. They got him fired and boycotted. Which is a shame, he voices Edward Elric, which is one of the few animes where I prefer the dub over the sub.

Personally I did own and played all of them (both handled and not copies), I bought it to support NIS for disgaea 6 = I enjoyed it although story wise I loved the 5

as much as i liked 4 on vita, i'll probly pass on this unless they add a whole lot of the extra stuff from 5. otherwise 5 is just superior to me, and that i already have on switch ;)

If you've seen Final Fantasy Tactics or Tactics Ogre, then those games basically inspired Disgaea. It's an isometric strategy RPG with a heavy focus on customization, over the top elements everywhere, and grinding (although part of the fun of the games is figuring out the best grinding spots the developers have laid out for you). By the end of each game's post-game, you'll find yourself with a team of lv 9999 characters with stats in the millions, the whole series like to poke fun at the over the top nature of games and anime in both its story and its gameplay.

Wow very low viewcount, shows how much of a niche this game is

I would love a Disgaea rep, but it realistically would never happen. Nintendo would only ever consider niche characters from their own catalog (like Duck Hunt, Mr. Game and Watch, etc.), so I don't think that Disgaea would make it without a huge surge in sales and popularity in Japan.

@kamo It could happen, sure, but Persona was specifically because of Sakurai's love for it, and Bayonetta was because she won Nintendo's poll. I agree with you, though, that Disgaea 6 being a Switch exclusive gives it much more of a possibility than it had before. The question is, would they put in the protagonist of the newest Disgaea game, have it be a mascot like Laharl or a Prinny, or pull a Dragon Quest Hero and have it be multiple of the protagonists as different costumes?

I like Disgaea 5, but it's my least favorite in the series. The maps feel the worst designed (ESPECIALLY those maps that just throw 200 enemies in a box to show off the PS4's power), and the characters are much lamer than in the previous games.

@@Jordan3DS Ive only played Disgaea 1, 4, and 5 so I can't talk about 2 and 3. Disgaea 5 is my favorite in the series even though I still like 4 and 1. Not gonna lie, I found the characters from Disgaea 4 kinda annoying especially Desco and Fuka. Gameplay wise, I prefer Disgaea 5.

​@@wombochrombo3610 I prefer the simplicity of the other games, but obviously everyone is going to have a very different opinion on the features that 5 added. I highly recommend checking out 2 and 3 sometime, they're both awesome! I picked up Disgaea 3 and 4 for $5 a piece on PS3 a couple of years back, and I think you can still find 3 for that price, and 2'll probably go on sale at some point on the PS3 store for cheap (although it's already pretty cheap to begin with). This is all assuming that you have a PS3, at least.
