Zettai Hero Project: The Unlosing Hero Vs DarkDeath Evilman has this Rogue-Like mechanic where you die and you go back to lvl 1, but all your levels get added to a bonus stat per level, making you stronger than before. I hope we get some Cameos by the characters of that game.

The narrative metaphor of a character who keeps coming back from the brink of death stronger than before paired with the recent financial struggles of NIS. I see you NIS. I'm so glad to see this game actually surface and be real, I was genuinely worried 5 was going to be the last one. Also, I really like how the art translates to 3D? I'll miss the old sprite work, sure, but this looks really good.

TheTourGUIDE TheTourGUIDE I just hope this game is developed well. Because they are apparently in financial trouble as you said because of the complete failure of the mobile game. So I’m wondering if they will cheap out on some parts of the development of the game. Hopefully not though. While it’s inspiring they keep coming back from near death, hopefully this time they can permanently escape that situation for good.

The 3D doesn’t look that good honestly, but it’s passable. I just hope the models will get better or they’ll add a option to go back to 2D. But I’m still hyped for this game. Hope they’ll port over Disgaea 2,3, and D2 for the switch aswell.

I have to buy a whole new console to play 1 game, i already did that for Star Ocean for Xbox. (i also lost that game accidentally when i moved house, now i have a paper weight) I really want this game and i only have one option, i don't want a Switch, everything Nintendo is worthless to me. this is absurd, i have to get a Switch..... y a y . woohoo -_- I can't wait to pay 400-500$ to play this game -_-

Ignirium I can understand hating Nintendo, but if you’re hellbent on getting a switch for this game, plz consider breath of the wild, three houses, Mario odyssey and 3D all stars. Those are some of the best games I’ve played, period. Astral chain is good too. Bayonetta 2 is solid. All these exclusives are worth trying if you’re getting a switch so don’t think of this games as a 500$ game. Think of it as an opportunity to try out amazing exclusives. I know Nintendo love digging their own graves, but they still put out a lot of good exclusives. There’s the Pokémon games but I’ve never been a fan. Hope you have fun with it man

@@future4806 Thanks, i appreciate hearing optimism. I like Breath of the wild, watched a lot of game play and views on that game and a lot of aspects of the game has shown me to have draw backs(too easy, lack of skill/puzzle utility/too many shrines ect. I know a lot of good too), while to many of us, the discovery and journey being the most meaningful experience, but i already know the game well enough to not have surprise capture my imagination as a first time player. It's a beautiful game! I'm fond of Zelda, esp the first one on NES. I have a unique/particular interest for certain games, same as for movies and music, i really like what connects with me more than anything else about a game/experience. It's hard to find stuff that fits that criteria. I want to find things I'm fond of.

@@Ignirium I understand why you wouldn't buy a Switch for only one game, but i'd also like to reccomend you some games on Switch in case you do invest in a Switch. Zelda Age Of Calamity is coming like this month, Smash Ultimate is fun, Animal Crossing is a good one if you these kind of games, Kirby Star Allies, while not particularly difficult, can be very enjoyable with 1 or friends, especially if one just wants to cause chaos to the others.

I'm actually not opposed to the 3D models. They look pretty okay, and it'll help with the cinematic stuff disgaea likes to do....but damn, 4 and 5 had such GOOD sprite art.

Meanwhile, compare the lovely 2D art in The Guided Fate Paradox (also NIS, hence the relevance) to the PS1-style 3D basic RPG stylings of The Awakened Fate Ultimatum... both PS3 games of course. Mind you, the latter kind of had a better story, just... awful graphics, awful gameplay.

@@polocatfan Idk what it is exactly, as I really can't quite put my finger on it, but this vs past games, just from a visual standpoint alone, does look considerably less washed out, with just slight improvements to the games general level of vibrancy and improved contrast, the likes of which, I feel is actually a small merit and visual detail that I feel should be appreciated some.

I literally had a hard time trying to pronounce those numbers. Nine nine... ern... A LOTA DAMAGE.

the boy said it all, I first started with Disgaea 1, it's the best storyline there is and characters in all disgaea series imo, so before you go to 6, I highly recommend you try that one first, just for the story, it's really cool =)

Not sure how I feel about it yet. I'm hype, and yet I also liked the classic look of the 2D anime Sprites. Ill have to see how other characters/moves look. I also slightly worry what will be gained / lost in the animation Style I'm still getting this as the collectors addition, and going to throw a crap ton of hours into this no matter what though.

I was initially highly put off by the switch to 3d, but after looking at the other footage from the Direct and at the screenshots on the website, I have come to the conclusion that they actually did a great job at transforming the 2d sprites into 3d, and I'm actually hyped for this again

But the thing that irks me, is that there's really no point in buying a Disgaea game, because they always release a "complete" version with all the dlc content for free and new freakin' stuff that you can't ever access in the original even after buying all dlc. I can't justify buying this when there's just going to be a better version like a year later

@@QueenMelodyAngel13 Out of all the cast running around, he physically is the most powerful and one of the oldest agewise too, simply in terms of raw strength, but hes a bit of a idiot. Valvetorez might be pretty on par with him though being a ex-tyrant overlord( and over twice laharls age). Or maybe killia, but he diddnt have a history of being strong did he? He got much more powerful during his game rather than how he was before it.

Have you played any other games in the series? At the very least, I'd play the first one. It lacks certain mechanics later games have, but it keeps the same level of humor while having a story that is actually really good too. I remember playing through Disgaea 2 after finishing the first one and was really disappointed with the story.

I mean, 4 was basically the same zaniness expected from the series imo, but I agree that 5 took itself too seriously, at least in terms of the story. The gameplay was just as delightfully over-the-top as its predecessors. Hopefully this one doesn't disappoint.

You gotta love Disgaea for destroying the competition in the T-rpg genre without even taking itself seriously ! 👌

@@shearman360 I would love it regardless, lol. In honesty, I could either see Laharl wielding multiple weapons, sending out other demons to do his bidding, or just breaking the 4th wall in terms of Smash logic.

@@Rave265 Absolutely. SRPGs deserve representaion in Smash and Disgaea is the only other one aside from Fire Emblem that's still going. His taunts would be legendary and his stage could be his castle with cameos with characters from every game!

SO MUCH HYPE!!! My favorite saga ever has a new entry!!

Disgaea 5 switch version is the best. I've solo super overlord Baal Land of carnage with my lilith at her max level of 9999. I can't wait to do the same thing in Disgaea 6.

I am a big fan of the 2d sprites, but the 3d models seem decent. Gonna lower my expectation because any franchise shifting from 2d to 3d is usually big work that eat away on other content. With that said I literally can't wait for it to come out. Guess I'll dive back into the serie to help me wait.

I'm gonna be strait-forward, when I saw the in-game graphics, the first thought that entered my head was... "OH NO, is this going to be a Mobile Build trying to pass itself off as Console game with plans to release on mobile." After watching more of this trailer, that thought began to dissipate as I was taken off guard by the graphics, however I thought back to Wind Waker and cel-shaded graphics. If that's what is happening here, then I kinda like it, it might grow on me. Dear NIS, I really hate and strongly dislike, even loathe and vomit at the sight of the RANKING SHOP in Disgaea 4: Complete+. I pray that no such system or mechanics will be implemented in Disgaea 6. For the love of any Deity that is listening, please don't do it! I'm fine with Character DLC, and additional Episode DLC. Just no mobile micro-transactions, and no ranking shop. Now then, to gush about the Disgaea series, I love every game, including Disgaea Dimension 2: A Brighter Darkness (PS3), sequel of Disgaea Hour of Darkness. I also love Final Fantasy Tactics, and Tactics Ogre, some other great tactical strategy RPG's. Disgaea 5 was an amazing evolution for the series, with Unique Evilities and Common Evilites, of which you can equip many. I love heavy customization in that respect. I also love Chara World in Disgaea 5. Who knew Mario Party for Demons would be so addicting and fun to enhance your Disgaea Characters. The new Main character is a zombie or related to Zombie-kind, that'll be a trip. Will it encourage players to Reincarnate assuming the Unique Evility grants more power or something from reincarnating?? I can't wait!

What do you dislike about the ranking shop? Also, agreed, Disgaea is the best! It sits on the SRPG pantheon alongside Fire Emblem and Final Fantasy Tactics. 1-4 are all pretty equally my favorites, and D2 and 5 are a couple steps below, personally.

This gives me hope that a ZHP game is on the horizon. Keep it up!

If those morons are smart they should get a goddamn playstation 3 or 4 already instead if wasting time waiting for a game that's likely never gonna appear on a Nintendo console apart from some spin-offs, Playstation consoles are THE consoles to own if one even bothers calling themselves a Persona fan

DMD00 well saying ps is the console to own is debatable. I’d say pc is better for persona at this point. Sure pc doesn’t have the dancing games but that’s not a huge loss considering pc has every other persona game available which ps4 doesn’t.

I played every games on the series hyped for this too

0:57 Not gonna lie this announcer made me laugh. It's crazy good. I'm always for a new Grin- Disgaea game. I loved the 2D but don't mind those 3D Model that much as long as the animations defy common sense.

seems that games sell better on switch, but just happy to hear this and rune factory 5 is coming out, if only i could get some demon souls and a virtual console on switch, i'd be happy (would love to have access to the old dq games, rf games, etc)
