…the reason for that is that all the big viewer bases are with non MD’s..and there are dozens…and he falls into the trap that turn off new viewers with the focus on pharmacology , and not a specific pinpoint benefit…for instance this video was research oriented and lightly touched on a TOO wide benefit function…so ultimately it’s message is way TOO diluted…

Thanks for your informed and unbiased research. As the Concerto (2023) review points out the doses that were used in those early trials were very large 12-18g, I found it difficult to get these sort of doses into people. Those trials obviously had methodological issues too. That research showing effectiveness of the 40:1 myo-inositol/D-chiro-inositol in PCOS is interesting, as there has always been a bit of a debate around what form seems more effective. I work in mainly in pharmacovigilance now, and one of the pleasing aspects of inositol is that it has almost no side effects at those 2-4g dose, and no known interactions with medications.

You're not going to get many peer reviewed studies on the effectiveness of inositol for a range of ailments. Inositol is very cheap and needs no prescription. That discourages most doctors from wasting their time and money researching something they will never financially profit from. The American government needs to setup a tax payer funded research program for natural supplements. But don't hold your breath for that one

This is a wonder drug for me. It has one amazing property that might be speculated on but inositol in high dose reduces pain , maybe almost as much opiods, those drugs that damn drs don't give for fear of abuse of the few (or some) over helping many. I hate pain drs, and I am not exaggerating the pain it decreases in me. Of coures one might need to take caffeine or alert pills as inositol makes you sleepy.

@stayroxy What works for me is eating more satiating food. In practice, high fat and low carbs. Fat makes you go longer between meals, because you won't get hungry as fast. A high carbs meal makes you hungry much quicker. Long-term, hunger can't be resisted! The effect of HFLC takes time. But is entirely without struggle. I lost 15 kg over 1.5 year. My principle were to eat full meals, and nothing between them.
