You failed to mention that simply a high fiber diet, especially diets at or above 37 G of fiber daily, tend to eliminate blood glucose control issues in most people if they also minimize eating any kind of processed carbs or sugar in their diet. Simply eliminating snacking on carbs in between meals and only eating carbs with a heavy protein and fiber, preferably carb meals before physical activity is planned, often eliminates diabetic issues for most pre-diabetics and people in the early stages of type 2 diabetes.

This is a good information that I have gone through **Diabets.Care** She is 2 years 9 months, hale and healthy, have not done any blood test. But I am not certain if one can get diabetes at such a tender age. Please I will like to know more on that*

My oldest son is in his early 20's and he has type 1 diabetes. But thank God for this piece of article kzread.infoUgkxVYhghKWmrUgXARZ_ydZTvmmcrw5L0I5i At first he thought he had the flu and was lying down on the bed for three days until his sister took him to the hospital. They took his blood and it was 600. What I do not understand is how he could have gotten it, since no one in the family has it. But he is winning the battle now. This is good stuff.

Since vegetables are also carbs… ofc not a licensed medical professional or anything, but I’ve seen videos where people talked about how they were not getting their resting metabolic (basal metabolic) needs met and they struggled to lose weight (which is supposed to help with pcos) because their body thought they were starving and ended up storing everything as fat. So maybe try what you’ve been doing with at least 2 meals a day? Hope you’ve been managing well! Good luck and take care!! 😁

I turned to KETO. Best decision of my life! My A1C & cholesterol is now normal. Auto-immune flare ups and body pain are not happening as often. It was worth making my dietary changes vs. taking more medications.

Inositol at 1g doses, for me it started to affect slightly my mood at 2g doses, my mood improved exponentially to the point of taking the 2g dose in a few days I was able to crawl out of a 18ish month long depression 4g feeling better, starting to feel the glucose drops if I take it without food at larger doses 8g+ it starts to act like an anti-anxiety medication at the dose I'm taking right now, 12g, for me the best is taken with food. My mood has completely stabilized... I'm still me, I'm still sober, but stuff barely affects me, does not throws me into bad moods, I feel friendlier and able to socialize a bit more. I have a pretty bad Adult ADHD with some Autism-like symptoms... it HELPS A LOT specially in the higher doses, but it doesn't change you if you hope to wake up "adhd free".

Berberine is NOT naturally found in turmeric. Berberine is a compound that is typically extracted from the roots and stems of various plants, such as the Berberis species (barberry), Chinese goldthread, and Oregon grape. It is commonly used as a dietary supplement due to its potential health benefits.

A major caveat for Berberine: It inhibits the action of several enzymes that metabolize prescription medications. I take medication to control my epilepsy, and taking Berberine could cause me to overdose from those medications as a result of increasing blood plasma levels. If you take prescription medications regularly, talk to your doctor before starting to take it - you may need to alter your dose or look for other options.

On rereading my comment, I realize I could have been clearer: It inhibits the metabolizing enzymes of *some* prescription medications, not all. So if you take prescription medications, do check with your doctor, but don't just rule it out as a possibility!

@@Sali0731they say start off with 500 mg. Best to take with food. Facts: it’s tolerated better in lower amounts like 250 mg with your large meal. Healthy green spinach and mixed green salad helps with the constipation side effect. If you don’t have sugar or a high white starchy food, you don’t need to take it. I’m a newbie so still trying things out. My go to that has helped is ceylon cinnamon (500 mg) and ALA (200 mg). Get one that’s as close to natural as possible from the health food store. @@celeste6445 hi, to make okra water is easy. Just chop up about 2-3 okras. Place them in a large glass . Fill the glass with water and refrigerate overnight. Next morning the water will be very slimy. Strain the water in a glass, and this is what you drink. It helps with insulin I think but do some research. Don't throw away the chopped okras yet. Refill the glass with fresh water and repeat the process until there's no more slim. Be careful not to chop too many okras at a time. Hope this helps. 😊

I am also a competitive powerlifter and work out pretty consistently. Type 1 diabetic since 1970. Berberine and metformin in my case seem to matter much less than diet. They seem not to hurt. Haven’t had side-effects that I’ve noticed. I do take B12 supplements. Carnivore diet seems to help more, much more. I’m trying 3 days a week on PSMF, on my doctor’s suggestion, and that’s definitely forced me to lower my doses of insulin not just on those days. I really dislike eating essentially nothing but protein three days a week, I admit.

Does the body de sensitize to it so you have take a break so that it keeps working. Or do you need to lower your blood pressure and sugar another way?

Great information Kait... Thank you. I watched your reverse insulin resistance video and have started following the low carb and exercise parts. Where do I begin about my health? I have a few underlying conditions, mainly due to leaky gut (celiac's disease), that makes it such that I can probably only have meat, fish, coconut oil, salt, a few spices, few veg and water. I have candidiasis, hashimotos thyroiditis, just been diagnosed with insulin resistance but already knew I have it, I've been advised tests for cortisol levels because my new doctor feels I may be having spikes in blood pressure due to an adrenal adenoma (adrenal gland swelling) which is spiking my cortisol levels. So I need to manage stress levels by prioritising sleep and cutting out stressful volunteering work etc. My doctor mentioned he may put me on metaformin for IR. I'm looking at going for the natural methods as given by you and others. Weight has always been my issue thanks to gluten etc. At my earlier highest around 2010 I was 202 pounds, with diet modification (cutting out gluten completely and dairy quite a bit) I had come down to about 176 pounds. In between due to personal loss etc I gained and in early 2019 I was around 189. By early 2020 I had come down to 171-175 thanks to a version of Keto-AIP. Post then perhaps due to stress and/ or generally not cutting carbs enough I had gained to a new high of 206-207 in 2021. Now in recent days I've lost few pounds. I know I feel amazing on Keto but I have to do it more Autoimmune Protocol Diet style or more Carnivore without eggs and dairy, to truly fix my health. It's hard because those around me eat everything and I love dairy. As of now I'm just trying to focus on prioritising my sleep, cutting carbs, getting some exercise (mainly strength training) and doing intermittent fasting. It's too hard to think of going on a super austere elimination diet. However since I cut certain inflammatory foods like peanuts, corn, brinjals, other grains and sugars etc in 2019, I did find my gut health improving and hashimotos being in control with medication. I love food and grew up on a lot of junk food so even being off grains and sugars etc is a lot but tough. I've cut out alcohol a couple of months ago. Sorry for this long run-down of my medical history... I'm getting down to it now and trying to be as conscious as possible without stressing myself out. Will update you as I go ahead. Thank you for doing the work you do 🤗🤗❤️❤️ Love from India.

Me too. My blood sugar is normal and normal hga1c but I have pcos so I know it's probably an insulin issue. It's the state we are at prior to becoming pre-diabetic. Our liver is secreting higher levels of insulin to keep our blood sugar levels normal so we're not having issues with high blood sugars...YET. but the excess insulin will cause our cells to become more and more resistant and the insulin is wreaking havoc on our ovaries by increasing testosterone production. In pcos even normal levels of testosterone can be problematic bc we seem to be especially sensitive to it and it's effects on egg health specifically.
