Hello, good morning, I really liked your video, it brings me excellent memories, because I had a DEC VENTURIS 575, i add memory and change the processor for one at 166 mhz, which increased the fluidity and performance, in addition to installing a video card and network, I remember using a Motorola 28.800 serial modem to connect to an incipient internet with noise beep, which was my fourth computer, before I went through the commodore, synclair, 8088, 286, 386, 486, until I got to pentium. I am looking to buy one and relive those moments, but due to the pandemic, work has dropped and many of us are without jobs surviving, in addition to the fact that the Mexican peso has devalued, the price rises and this is more difficult, however thanks to your video, I have remembered that equipment and how robust its construction, well done, that it will not be done again. Thank you so much

I have this PC and love it dearly. You need to find some L2 cache for it. It makes a very big difference to performance. Also, initially DEC sold Tandy computers with their badge (Badge Engineering). This was before they started to sell their own brand which they did and made many many dozens of excellent models of desktops and servers.. right the way upto pentium 2/(and one or two very early pentium3 as an upgrade) systems.

I worked on a few DEC PCs in the 90s. The quality was right up there with brands like IBM and Compaq, but like you say, they jumped on that train far too late.

Nice! I have a 450s2 with a cheapo OPL sound card & 20 Mb RAM and the Trident S3 video card that only gives me 65k colours. Can you suggest a better graphics card . Looks like there's only ISA-buses in there though. Cheers from Norway.
