Regardless if they used him or not i think JJ should at least be open to the idea that maybe there was a prior agreement to repay the lawyer. I mean its possible isnt it? The fact that they tried cheating the system is irrelevant to what was agreed upon with the money. It seemed JJ was more concerned about them exploiting this loophole than what was actually understood between them.

The fact that a judge ordered the mother and her daughter to stay for two years with the grandparents, shows how unfit the mother is. I can see how concerned the grandparents are to try everything to get their granddaughter, but it is no excuse to go around to sue the broke father for money they gave willingly.

They sound just like something my parents would do! But fortunately for me, I’m strong enough to leave that situation and stand up for my son on my own without their manipulation and their money. They have absolutely no reason to say I am unfit. Never drink, smoke or do any drugs. Don’t have any criminal record. May not make 6 figures like my parents do. But I do definitely put my son’s second (with God being first).
Dad got custody and then somehow the courts required the grandchild stay at grandparents house? That wouldn't have happened unless grandparents took Dad to court. They didn't care about their child.
