    Regardless if they used him or not i think JJ should at least be open to the idea that maybe there was a prior agreement to repay the lawyer. I mean its possible isnt it? The fact that they tried cheating the system is irrelevant to what was agreed upon with the money. It seemed JJ was more concerned about them exploiting this loophole than what was actually understood between them.

    The fact that a judge ordered the mother and her daughter to stay for two years with the grandparents, shows how unfit the mother is. I can see how concerned the grandparents are to try everything to get their granddaughter, but it is no excuse to go around to sue the broke father for money they gave willingly.

I would say it's plausable since with two rotten parents, there's a big risk the kids follow that path too... But he WANTED to be in the childs life, and that is the important part!

    It’s worse. They helped him get the granddaughter and then took her from him when he wasn’t allowing them enough visitation. So, they sided with him against their own daughter when they thought they could control him. Then when he wasn’t as malleable as they thought they used their daughter to get what they wanted. But they want the father to pay for their manipulative strategy.

    Reading JJ's first book and watching her 60 minute interview, you know she hates these kind of kinship foster arrangements because they are often used as an excuse for the grandparents to get the child support benefits. Given she's clearly experienced this trick before, this case was over before it began.

What is needed is for parents to take responsibility and teach their children, as it is their responsibility.     I can give you some sound advice as a older man, DO NOT GET MARRIED, keep your wick protected and if a girl says you are the daddy get a DNA test asap, the institution you think of is dead, marriage is dead, committed faithful relationships are dead, sorry to say but what you think of regarding a loving trust based partnership is DEAD, a remnant of a forgotten era, trust me on this, you will have to search the earth to find the partner you have imagined, they almost don't exist anymore, that goes for males and females.

    The $3500 was a small price to pay for their granddaughters safety and well-being. They had a mutual interest, there was no point to sue him. They should all be working together. If they could have done it without him they would have.

    Oh, her parents are going to keep finding ways to exploit the system to keep her under their thumb as long as she has the kid. I wouldn't be surprised if they used their money to bribe someone to make sure the granddaughter's dad was seen as unfit, especially as somehow they got it so their daughter has to live with them for two years with the kid.

    They sound just like something my parents would do! But fortunately for me, I’m strong enough to leave that situation and stand up for my son on my own without their manipulation and their money. They have absolutely no reason to say I am unfit. Never drink, smoke or do any drugs. Don’t have any criminal record. May not make 6 figures like my parents do. But I do definitely put my son’s second (with God being first).

    Dad got custody and then somehow the courts required the grandchild stay at grandparents house? That wouldn't have happened unless grandparents took Dad to court. They didn't care about their child. They cared about themselves and used whomever they could to get her in their home. I hope courts see what they did!

And they didn’t make any claims that the mom and dad were unfit parents, so why are they so controlling and over involved? I always feel sorry for people who’s parents treat them as possessions.     Wow. What awful people. All the fella did was just stand there and let Judge Judy tear strips off them. I think it's often forgotten she was a family court judge so a case like this was her bread and butter.
