Minnesota I'm not sold on they got no qb talent, and nw will win 6 if they are lucky the ball bounced their way to many times last year, but they are very well disciplined. If I was betting I'd take the over on the Huskers. I see 10 wins and a west championship very possible.

I may not agree with some of the wins/losses but i respect you doing a video on our beloved huskers, Thanks man.

i always enjoy non Nebraska fans that analyze the huskers, its a lot more objective, as a hardcore fan i feel like we are gunna win the national championship every summer than reality sets in, but with that being said, this year feels different, we are young for the most part but it seems like we are in a better place mentally and physically, the coaching staff is the real deal. i feel like the question marks and holes we have will get filled in before the midway point of the season. but like i said, i think we are gunna win every game every season, so who really knows.

5 of their losses were 5 points or less. Last second loss to Iowa and overtime loss to Northwestern. Close game to Ohio st. and should've beat CU. Huskers beat themselves vs CU. If they come out like they finished with cleaning up penalties, staying healthy and a favorable schedule. They should win 10 with a west division championship. Leaders are being made and the culture is changing. Bigger, stronger and faster. Go Big Red!

Yes I agree about penalties those were big... but sometimes teams have to know what it is like to win to win big games and we don't have that right now but with 4 easy games before OSU we should be fine

@Andy Batko lmao you are the one in dream land. Huskers should have won that game by 14+. You don't win alot of games giving up 300 rushing yards and 7 sacks. Luckily your puffaloes were playing a team in their first game of this coaching era. Colorado gets smacked this year. Its gonna take Tucker a little time.

Where Vegas and others are missing it, is in the programs physical training program. Dobson and co have put Nebraska back on track with its traditional weight program. Its the old NU power training resurrected and mated with modern advances and the results of 2 winters has been HUGE! No one talks much about it but it is a difference maker!

I enjoyed your video. I have been a husker fan for over 20 years. I have to say the only worry I have on the offensive side of the ball is the line. It helps that we have a mobile QB but he needs time to develope plays. Im glad you talked about kade warner being one of the top receivers for nebraska. This might be a stretch but he reminds me of Wes Welker. In that he has great hands, good at creating space and hes a good down field blocker. Another guy you might have not mentioned was Jack Stoll at tight end. I can see him emproving his stats from last year and possibly doubling them. Nebraska is going to have a better D Line this year but the linebacker group has some depth issues. If Nebraska doesnt win there first 3 games decisively then I dont think were going to live up to the hype. If we can knock off Ohio State at home then the chances of us making a big ten championship appearance will drastically increase. The games I am worried about are Wisconsin because of there running game. It could be a shoot out to the end. The other team is Minnesota there going to be a much improved team from last season. So i think that could be our trap game. Purdue is another team that could put up a loss for nebraska. So 9-3 is a pretty good guess but I think nebraska is going to live up to expectations and then some. If we only get 7 or 8 wins I will be disappointed but its at least heading in the right direction. Will just have to see how it plays out on the field. Look out ESPN!😂 I like the home spun feel, cudos Dude. I also like that someone outside of NE is starting to have some faith in us. We had a much improved recruiting class this year. If we only get 8 wins it will draw a lot of attention having such a huge improvement while facing Big10 competition. Meaning that future recruiting will be even better. It's only up from here.

Not a bad analysis. I think Nebraska needs to prove themselves with some good wins such as Ohio State before you can get to hyped on them. Nebraska fans which I am one always over hypes their team. 7 or 8 wins is where I would put them for this year. Surprised at how sold you are with Minnesota. A big team with Minnesota but Nebraska is building a fast team. No better fans in college football than Nebraska. Period!!!

Particularly if NU is beating tOSU and Wiskey and is ranked throughout the year. Maryland will also have a bye week before NU comes to town so there's that as well. Great review! Liked and subbed. I'm going out on a limb and saying 10-2 and here's my reasoning: 1. Home games have higher likelihood of win in Lincoln , particularly "Revenge" or "Big" games. 2. I look at the prior week's game for the opponent as a factor: "Hangover Game" , "Let Down", etc... 3. I factor in "Revenge Game" as defined as losing the previous meetings with the opponent. 4. I factor in "Trap Game" as facing as opponent the week after a tough game or an opponent gets a Bye week the week before. 5. I factor "Night Game" atmosphere (as best schedule guess) at home as tougher than usual for opponent So...... Week 1 - W - HOME vs. S. Ala. :: should be an easy opener and S. Ala's first game of season as well Week 2 - W - @ CU :: "Revenge Game" for NU and "Hangover Game" for CU (CU plays CSU rival Week 1) Week 3 - W - HOME vs. N. ILL. :: "Night Game" for NU and "Hangover Game" for N. Ill (N.I. plays @ Utah Week 2) Week 4 - W - @ ILL. :: First Conf game should be a win even if ILL is improved vs. last year. Week 5 - W - HOME vs. tOSU :: New coaches/QB at tOSU + "Revenge Game" + "Night Game"?? for NU (if both teams 4-0) . ESPN Game Day will likely be in Lincoln, so expect the stadium to be rocking. Purdue could be a win for NU as well if the Purdue D doesn't improve from last year. Also, I'm picking wins over both tOSU and Wiskey but many are chalking those up as losses. You also did your homework and know how close NU came to beating CU (Defense couldn't keep CU from scoring + Martinez knocked out of game for final go-ahead drive that failed), Troy (NU still missing Martinez to injury + 3 turnovers), NW (NU defense allows NW to come back). If NU wins 2 out of those 3 and goes 6-6 they would have gone to a bowl game. Anyway, it is what it is. My guess is huge rebound and 10-2 + bowl game. But, even 8 or 9 wins will be okay with me. Your thoughts?

NW is a maybe win and its cause against everyone they just seem to stick around. MN and Maryland are NOT even at the same level as NW and likely not even at the same level as CO. The tough games are CO cause they think they are our rivals and well we do not and we play at their place against dirty fans that will do things that could hurt player to help their team win and they have two kids that will cheap shot and they do not care where they are playing, Ohio St and Wis. We WIN the rest of the games these are the only ones that are questionable.

Great commentary on Nebraska’s season. I agree Scott Frost is moving the program in the right direction though we will need another 2 years. GO BIG RED.

Huskers have an easier schedule then last year, I’d be happy with just going to a bowl game, have tickets for Alabama, hoping for a big win

This year I say we win the divsion only losing to ohio st then lose to ohio st in the big ten championship then beat Utah in the rose bowl (ohio st will be in playoff so nebraska will be in the rose bowl)

I do not think if we make it into the Conf Champ game that we win and I do not think Ohio St will be in the Conf Champ game I think it will be Mich. And even if we did win the Conf. Champ and have an undefeated reg season I do not think we would get into the NC playoffs.

Carolina Jackpot My 2019 Cornhusker game Predictions South Alabama... win @ Colorado - This is not going to be easy as this is a big rivalry, especially for CU, but because of what happened in the game last year I see a NU win.... win Northern Illinois - Dont under estimate this team as they did win the MAC & they do have some talent. If this was last year, NU would probably lose this game but it’s not last year ....... win @ Illinois - I feel Lovie will have his team ready & with OSU coming to Lincoln the next week, it could catch NU off guard.. Illinois keeps it close with NU pulling out the win late ..... win Ohio State - I feel NU will be really fired up for this game & it will be closer than most think but I still see NU losing at the end but don’t be surprised if NU wins ..... loss Northwestern - After blowing a 2 score lead last year I feel the players want to prove something here especially against the defending West Champs!! But watch out for a let down from the Ohio State game..... win @ Minnesota - This is a tougher team than most think & being in Bloomington will be tough. I see a close loss ... loss Indiana - Indiana is an approved team but NU is a much more approved team.. win @ Purdue - this team can put up points & they arguably have the best player in Rondale Moore but I feel NU pulls it out at the end .... win Wisconsin - Scott Frost & Company get a bye week to get ready for this one so NU will be ready! NU will want this a lot more than Iowa .... win So I have NU finishing 9-3 & placing second in the West as Minnesota will also have 3 conference losses as well but holds the tie breaker with their win over NU! NU should get a really good bowl game as bowl officials know NU fans follow their team religiously & since it’s been a few years since NU has made a bowl, their fans will be really hungry for any bowl!!

Nebraska will be much stronger and more physical on both sides of the ball this year. However I agree with you that depth is still an issue for Nebraska.

Husker defense will be bigger, stronger, faster, and will know what they are doing this year. Look for a big improvement. The offense has playmakers and question marks. If all falls in place they go 10-2 or better. If the offense doesn't take off as expected, 8-4. In two years they will have lots of weapons, and everyone back. 2019 will be good. 2020 will be great. Recruiting has been good, the strength and conditioning program is exceptional. Frost can call plays as good as any coach in the country.

Huge Husker fan here. The Huskers will be much improved. Gone are the days of Mike Riley, where they were only good at, 'laying down and playing dead.' However, people are putting way too much stock into them. Yes they will be improved, but they still have their issues. Mainly (as you pointed out), depth. The Huskers lack depth. I don't think the Huskers beat Ohio St or Wisconsin. Those two teams have a lot of depth and it will show when they play the Huskers. Both of those two are Husker loses. They will be good games, but the Huskers will lose both of them. There are dangers in Northwestern, Purdue and Iowa. They will lose to one of them, maybe two of them. I have been predicting the Huskers to go 9 - 3. (Look at that, we agree on record... lol). It is also within the realm of possibilities for them to go 8 - 4 , with a worse case scenario of 7 -5. Honestly, 8 - 4 would be a huge improvement, from last year, but could be under appreciated as the type of accomplishment it would be. The best case scenario would be 10 - 2. I think the Husker's will have a great year, however it will be a little bit of fool's gold. They have a weaker schedule and will benefit from it greatly. If they sneak into a major bowl, they will get a good lump on the head. Once again, as you pointed out, Coach Frost needs more time. Bill Moos and Coach Frost both have stated it takes about 5 years to turn a program around. We are in Year 2 now, and will defiantly those extra 3 years. Good video amigo...

Jus not getting the Minnesota thing. Cause iv seen that a lot. Yeah Won last two games of their season last year but they got handled in almost every way possible last year against Neb. And the reason Neb is getting all this hype this year is because of how much they were improving and how they looked. S. Alabama--W Colorado--??? This is a tougher one cause CO fans have always felt that they were rivals of Nebraska and well Most Nebraska Fans that I know have NOT felt that way. Our team has to deal with having to play at altitude and deal with dirty players and fans and they are NOTED for that at home games. Matter of fact the one thing that might give us an advantage is two of their players cheap shotted Martinez on the same play. One guy targeted our QB when he was done and did it on purpose and another low life went after his ankle and knee by twisting on his foot after the play was dead and he put a bit more energy into it and acted like Yeah I did that with his walk. IF we beat CO then it means what I saw at the spring game was either just a show or they got the kids attitudes changed over the summer. The biggest thing we had causing problems for us early in the year last year was shooting ourselves in the foot with penalties. And remember other than the Mich game we were a TD or LESS in every loss we had last year. N. Ill. U--W Remember we lost the person that we thought was going to be our Back up QB the week of prep for out 1st game as he left the team. So we had a Walk on that was not that good get thrown into the wolves. Ill--W Ohio St.--?? If we beat Colorado then there is not one team that we do not have a good chance of beating on this schedule. If we lose to CO then this is a more iffy game even tho they have a new coach. Northwestern--?? This is an iffy game cause NW just seems to stick around. This could be a tougher game. Minnesota-----WIN!!!! NEBRASKA shows the MN fans and the school that they hired a worthless coach that has not even had more than 10 wins in a season even in a lower level conf. And there is a reason for that. He is only a stepping stone coach and MN did NOT choose wisely choosing this guy. We kicked their REAR ENDS Last year and while their team may have thought that Neb. was not any good that is on the coach. When most of the Losses were by a TD or LESS and you have the Ohio St. HC and the NW Players asking how have you not won. The coach and the players were fools and they are still fools. Indiana--W Purdue--W Wisconsin--??? Wisconsin usually does not have two bad years in a row and by this time of year if they started slow they have corrected for that. If we lose to CO this this is likely a loss, if we beat CO this is maybe a tough win for neb. Maryland--W Iowa--Two TD or more WIN for Nebraska. If Nebraska does some how only have a 0-2 Loss reg season I do not think they win the Conf. Champ game this year. And even if we do I do not think we get into the playoff. Tho I do think we will at least Win a playoff game in the next two seasons And three of the four Big games as I see them are at Home. And we will have a Min. of 90,000 since that is what the stadium holds and we have the National Home Game Sellout record and thats been going on since since the 60s

@Andy Batko This game is all about revenge for Nebraska. It is a game that is marked by Nebraska players, coaches, and fans. Nebraska fans will always tell Colorado fans how little Colorado means to us because we dominate the rivalry, but it is still huge for the fans and program. Scott Frost's first game was last year at home too, and they lost if you forgot 😉.

how can you be high on Minnesota when they couldn't beat us when we were terrible im lost on that and northwestern is a toss up game but I don't think they beat us at home. im a huge husker fan. but I predict we go unbeaten in the regular season and lose in the big ten championship but still go to the rose bowl and beat USC

You even went against yourself.... Same mistake a few of the "experts" make. I didn't agree with you...but you didn't agree with you either. Look as you pointed out you had them 9-3 as high as with you watches...11-1 and as low as 7-5. I may not agree with you...but for a few atleast you had looked at it. Then you threw everything you did and researched and went off a feeling!?! I'll post mine in a fee... but in the future...trust yourself

reg frevell thank you for the input, but I based my decision off the fact I think they are CAPABLE of winning 9, but will drop one of the ones I pegged as a win due to the lack of depth on both sides of the ball.

@@CarolinaJackpot Ok but there is only one position they don't have real depth at....it is outside linebacker. They are STACKED on both offensive and defensive lines. Now could there be a freshmen have to step up if Wahington is out...but Johnson was gonna play either way...too talented to not.

Ok as far as my prediction. I have them at low as 10-3 and as high as 12-1.. They will play for the West in BIG title game. Frost will win his 2nd coach of the year in 3 years. Martinez a finalist for the Heisman. Wandale Robinson will be the Freshman of the year. Daniel's newcomer of the year. All fourFreshman HS All Americans will contribute. They are young so losing a few might be possible. They have great team leadership though. This team believes they are gonna win the BIG. The culture flipped game 5 last year ...and you could see a big difference in play...and it is 100% buy in at this point. they are also seeing returns on the legendary walk-on program.(155 on roster) This is the perfect schedule for a young very talented team...two buy weeks this year. The other teams play too stuff a schedule for Nebraska to lose the West. They will beat Ohio St. ..and as the team matures at 7-0 gonna take a lot for them to lose a game or two... Ok how do they do it? The talent has never left Nebraska they are still top 15-19. Development: Nebraska has the same strength and conditioning coach in Duvall(not new) a former husker that brings back the old school Nebraska conditioninf that was the best in the country...and is now the best again. There are some lineman that have gained 40 plus pounds since arriving at Nebraska.(lean muscle gain) Team is averaging 20lbs per player of lean muscle gain and 200lbs gain on squats 100 plus gain on bench all in 1 year. (Avg gains per every man)Last example.... you have a D-line that avg 285 and now Ava's 320 plus... in much better shape and much stronger. Speed and speed and more speed....they have recruited on both sides. Did I mention crazy speed? Offense will be top 5 this year.....even if they slip it will improve a bunch from 2018. Wandale Robinson will be on the highlight reel each week...probably the nation's top offensive Freshman. At any one time you can have 5 receivers on the field sub 4.5...and two huge TE targets at 6'8 and 6'9. Not much to explain here...Frost produces top 5 offenses...550yds plus a week and scoring close to 45 as an avg. Key Newcomers: Robinson, Benhart, Mills, Noa, Johnson, Nance. Defensively this is the teams biggest improvement. Very Deep on defensive line and avg 325lbs. Very strong at linebacker and corner...but as I said before...not real deep at outside linebacker. The safety's will be strong and have also played corner. The defense will be VERY aggressive and should be at the top of the BIG in takeaways and near the top in the nation. I expect the defense to be more reactive this year...finishing somewhere top 40 in scoring defense and total D. The Big play is the takeaways and sacks which will make this D and give the ball back to the powerful offense. Key newcomers: Daniel's, Gates, Robinson, Green, Nelson, Hannah

Hype...hmmm...kinda like how USCjr is hyped by their fans to either win the East or be the second best team in the East every summer then turn around and get BLOWN OUT by georgia right out of the gate every year, lose to Texas aTm and Kentucky for the 10 millionth time in a row, and then embarrass the entire SEC by losing to Clemson by 4 or more scores at the end of the year?

I thin with 6 losses already we’re reminded that Nebraska’s winning is ancient tradition ... it’s meaningless. The program is a dumpster fire. And they jumped conferences like low class bums

I believe Nebraska go 11-1 beat Ohio st lose Minnesota but win Big ten Title go Rose bowl 2020 they will win Rose bowl 2020

Huskers defense was horrible last year. Offense I think is good, but if the defense can’t get stops they won’t do s**t worth talking about. Hoping for a good year, but I won’t get too excited till I see some 14 or less points scored by good teams.

Back to back 4-8 seasons with losses to Troy and NIU...if the logo on their helmet wasn't the N, nobody would have them hyped this much. J eff Patchell Nebraska "struggled" with Colorado last year and came out of it with a home loss, if they "struggle" in Boulder they will lose.

Theres a reason for all this hype... this was AFTER the ohio st game. Though nebraska lost that one they lost that game by 5 points and For most of that game til towards the end Nebraska out played them(and was at the horseshoe the same place michgian got canned..) Thats when Urban gave his nod to Frost.. There the guard shifted. Since then rest of the media members started repping up the hype even more.. #Gbr

Devin Banks now you know full well that the team the showed up against Nebraska was not the team that showed up against Xichigan... I keep telling Nebraska fans to be careful because I remember the amount of shit y’all talked last year 😂. 8-4 lol

@@nortstrim We are massive this year. OSU had trouble with the line play last year and it caused turnovers. NU is bigger again and have added speed. Its game on again this year and were EXPECTING to beat OSU, it's not hope.

The hype is overrated. Nebraska still will be awful. They will lose to Ohio State, Wisconsin and Iowa. 7-5 for the awful huskers in 2019.
