Nebraska has the longest bowl drought of any Power Five team. As a result, there were significant changes made in Lincoln this offseason. They brought in former Baylor and Carolina Panthers head coach Matt Rhule. To help break down the Cornhuskers' moves and preview their season, The Athletic's Mitch Sherman joins James Neveau. They talk about the return of running back tandem in Anthony Grant and Gabe Ervin. They also discuss how adding dual-threat quarterback Jeff Sims from Georgia Tech can help them this season.

Good report on the huskers. I would add Winn did leave from last season in the portal, but the huskers did as Elijah Judy from A&M. The biggest weakness for the huskers is OL, but they have all returning starters. I think the TE and FB will help. Adding another dimension to the offense will only help the line. Last year was Casey to palmer. That was the only dimension. It just wasn't a very well-rounded offense or play calling.
every season i hope, but.....sure hope they have a running back and a defense and quit losin' to the lower half of the BIG........they might have a chance to win 6 games..........WOW!!!!
The common refrain is that Colorado will be weaker due to turn over is cute but don't count on it. Position by position upgrades, immense injections of talent, total change in attitude........get ready. Colorado basically took the best of 3 rosters of teams.

Actually, Mitch wasn’t that bad. I would still view Sean Callahan as the definitive source though.

Football just doesn't seem like Nebraska's thing. Maybe they should try something else like a spelling bee.
