I'm not sure it's necessary. I think the other players have made that clear. They're trying to get the paperwork they're entitled to....I understand how it could look good to file multiple lawsuits but they'd just be suing for the same thing..... right?

Except for Northwestern, all these schools are public universities. These schools need to be a lot more transparent. Why didn't the B1G let the players vote? Outcome would have certainly been different.

I don't think making the rest of the BIG10 look sick and uncompetitive counts.

Notice how the B1G lawyer tries to intimidate Neb? "A vote was taken and you MUST comply & be QUIET or you will be in breach of your contract". Except we're only asking for the notes of the discussion prior to the vote and how everyone voted. WE WILL NOT BE INTIMIDATED!

It seems that the lawsuit and more in important discovery has the big 10 rethinking their decision

A little more background on the Big Ten's lawyer Andrew Luger. He was a former Barack Obama appointed US Attorney in Minnesota before moving into private practice. Kevin Warren lived in Minnesota before taking the Big Ten commissioner position.

If a group of players had a medical reason for not wanting to play (not related to the pandemic) the Big Ten would say the players are not filling i their end of the bargain if the players did not provide evidence. Why can the lawsuit not be the case in reverse? The Big Ten should not have to answer for its decision relating the contract that the student athletes have with the conference.

this is like suing your parents for taking your toys away the fix is in - the big 10 commish is "swimming with fishes" amazing how everyone thinks he is acting like a king / emperor / dictator who made all these decisions on his own

1. Each school has the right play or not play on their own, whether the NCAA recognizes them is another matter. 2. If colleges go back to school then they should be allowed to play based on what the individual schools dtermine.

If the decision was reached in breach of the Big10's own rules...... it not only harmed the Big10, but most likely negatively influenced the Pac12 as well.

I have no problem with limited expedited discovery, but will your honor recognize that the big10 is afraid to play Nebraska in 2020?

Probably but the Big 10 hasn't really helped them in football. They would welcome back in the Big 12 i am sure.

With flu season coming up they will use this to get out of covid debacle.

I can fix this right now for everyone. Any team member who wishes to play , has to sign a waiver stating that if they catch Covid-19 or die from it or related complications. Can not sue the school. Everyone's happy. Play ball. Because that's what this boils down too. Financial security. Not student athlete safety.

if you look at all the schools that left the big 12 they are left because they felt humiliated by UT to come back would means back to the same treatment, Nebraska included

3 states 'RUN' college football Texas, Florida, California (they supply most of the college top athletes) Nebraska, Arkansas lost their ability to recruit Texas when left the Big 12 & southwest conference they were already having problems recruiting Florida & California (which left them 0 - 3)

This is interesting. So, if an enterprising organizatin or attorney - of which there are many - finds a group of ACC, SEC and/or BIG12 students/parents to file a lawsuit against those conferences to produce their internal docmentation as to how they came to the conclusion to play football under the same circumstances (the B1G and Pac12 didn't), do these confereces have to respond? Should they? Do you think they would fight it? I have a feeling that privately, the ACC, SEC and Big12 are praying that the B1G wins this case. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised, if this went to court, that those confereces would file an amicus curiae on behalf of the B1G. Trust me, they don't want this can of worms opened. And, just as an aside, can a parent sue a coaching staff for its internal decision-making as to why their child is not a starter or never play?

I honestly don't even know what I want for Nebraska. Do I want to see them play and get smashed week to week while only getting 2 wins? Or not have a football season at all? It's a pick your poison of 2 miseries. But I will say that I am undoubtedly sick to freaking death of seeing Nebraska get smashed week to week in humiliating fashion without making another bowl game. I really am. I'd love a season to where I can watch CFB without seeing Nebraska as some big 15 or 20 point underdog just waiting for another a*swhooping next week. That stuff I am sick and tired of more than anything.

Can we stop thinking about what's best "for Me" vs what's best for "We"? As I Nebraska alumni, it seems the players filling the law suit are all about themselves and opportunities to "shine" during play to get NFL offers.
