@2010canhappenagain Shane Beamer was hired due to Frank Beamer's longevity and consistency. That makes about as much sense as voting for Hillary Clinton or Michelle Obama for president because their husband had been one. You wouldn't hire a plumber's son or wife as your plumber just because they have seen the inside of his van. The same applies with a Head Coaches son. You hired Shane, not Frank.

Even if he has a bad season, he will not be fired. He needs to be given at least to 2026.

Saban got out because he knows that consistency is now impossible with the transfer portal. Dumbo Weenee knows it at clempson too. he is trying to establish his program so that the transfer problem is not going to effect him as much. JP, It's great that you did this video and I can tell by watching that you have put a lot of thought into this topic, but let me enlighten you. Ray Tanner is our AD. His top 5 would be Ed Orgeron, Dan Mullen, Butch Jones, Jim McElwain, and last but certainly not least Jimbo Fisher. Before we hire another coach at SC we need a new AD. Tanner hired a new Baseball coach, Softball coach, and Equestrian coach this year. He's done enough damage.

1 of these guys will be the next coach. 1. Nick s retirement will have an itch to coach again 2. Bobby AFL coach 3. U Myers Fox Sports. 1 of those coaches will want a challenge at usc

If South Carolina got Glenn Schumann it would be a pain in the ass for every team in the SEC in recruiting and game day

Good video very informative. Like I have said Shawn is back for bigger reasons than we all know. With that being said Beamer isn’t going anywhere anytime soon, Trust me even a 3 win season wouldn’t get him in trouble. It’s not about wins and losses with him it’s about the fan base that supports him and money that the program brings in from donors. If you look at shear volume of influx’s that keeps him safe for at least 2 more years!!

It's mid-July and here I am watching Jackpot videos again. The Vols aren't playing you guys this year but the Gamecocks are my second favorite team in the SEC and Jackpot you are my favorite Jackpot reporter. I have in the past been a smart ass towards you and your team but hopefully, you will accept that as friendly trash talk in the spirit of competition. Having said all of that, I'm glad you are now at least thinking about the replacement of Shane Bummer. I've been pretty blunt the last couple of years telling you he is over his head in the SEC. You mentioned some good candidates for the next head coach, but are you and the Gamecock fans not tired from treading water you have been doing it since Spurrier left? You guys need a proven winning SEC head coach. Not my team but if it were I would be trying get Kiffin. Look what he did at Ole Miss. If you are actively thinking about who the next coaches you have given up on the current coach. He had one bad year and this season hasn’t even started, and you’re ready to give up, so most likely you subconsciously want him to fail because Tanner picked him

Elliot couldn’t get any NIL support at GA State. He should always be on the staff no matter the head coach but I don’t think Tanner would promote a coach on the staff after trying that with baseball. It’s why Monte Lee didn’t get the HC job for the baseball team.

JP, That list is good, and it is a fair topic. Here is a better topic for you. “What should be the number of wins standard for a USC or any SEC coach?” If you have back-to-back seasons less than six wins, you should be on the hot seat and out of the job if you go three seasons without six wins (In my opinion). My point is similar to what I think your position is. It is not about Beamer or any personal feelings about any coach. These are well-paid leaders with significant KPIs (Key Performance Indicators), and season-over-season wins are a primary KPI. (Now, if he adds the walk-on WR, I am pulling for him. I will buy him two years - LOL) #Go Gamecocks

Chadwell was my choice when we hired Doogie Howser……….

An offensive minded coach would be a great head coach to have for our Gamecocks. Chadwell didn't want to come here yet, I truly believe. Mullen didn't want to because he wanted more family time. I think we could let Beamer keep pulling and plugging to get the right fits within the coaching staff or Tanner and the BOT can break the bank for another out of the box hire for us. Could be one of the Dave's coaching in the state of North Carolina.

DL are way too good in Sec for the slow mesh is why Clemson killed it, they made penetration into line before the slow mesh could make read. One year they scored a lot was through passing against their weak Pass D

Clemson fan here. I like listening to your videos even though you hate us. Quick clarification though: in the Clemson/NC State laptop incident, Clemson actually had the laptop on our sideline and we were supposedly ordering more of those towels the QBs always have, and Doeren cried about it. Then next year, Clemson put an image of a laptop on our big signals board when we played NC State to troll them. Doeren is a bit lifeless from a personality stand point. But hes not a bad coach.

IMO I would go after NC State coach, he is proven with less talent he can coach up players. Chadwell is fine just think of the resources Dave Doeren has and if he came over to USC how he could do with better talent also knows Carolinas for recruiting. I wonder if USC would pay off his buyout as you said 5 mill a year to 2029 25 mill buyout. I think USC will keep Beamer 1 more year. Hey great news for the 4th for MIZZOU! Jackpot, love your show, the rants, and how you say what you're feeling without fear of repercussions from other SC fans or any other fans for that matter. Right now, im enjoying going back and listening to your arguments with Vol fans about who would be a better SEC coach between Beamer and Heupel. That gimmick ass Heupel offense just posted the worst numbers for him ever. Still won 9 games and scored over 30 per game. Based on this video, it seems like your not nearly as high on your guy anymore. Was it the 20-18 record in 3 years or something else? Heupel is only at 27-12 in his 3 years. Not really a world beater either. But its obvious from where they started and the rosters they had to work with. Heupel is the better of the two and always was. Beamer should mail Heupel the other half of his best 1st year SEC coach award while he's packing his things to be ran off. At minimum.

Golesh. He's the only one of those three that has produced 3 top 5 offenses. IT's the tempo spread offense and it works. His offense put more points on Bama than anyone has in 114 years. He's had great success with his offense in the, "SEC". None of those guys you mentioned have. Also, why a defensive coach? Stop it. Defensive coaches produce junk offenses. Unless that HC hires an elite OC, Defensive coaches can't do much without a lot of depth. You need to put up points now. Rebrand your offense into something you can market and win games with.. That is an elite offenses minded coach with a resume. And his USF team gave Alabama all they could handle last year. If you all don't get him within a year or two, a major university will. .

The main thing you need in College football to win is talent, and Schumann is the best in the business at recruiting.This is Kirby’s main guy.Also,Kirby has spoken about Schumann’s brilliant coaching mind all over Ga at coaching clinics.Plus he would probably bring some people with him.Defensive minded coaches make the best head coaches long term.Parcells,Belichick,Saban, and Kirby is going set all kind of records.Yeah, He has never been a head coach before but neither had Dan Lanning, and I think Glenn is better.Both of these are true Kirby disciples.You want to be great you go steal from the great.

Defnsive HC's are a dead end eventually. Saban was retired two years into the NIL and portal age. Why? Because defensive HC's can't put up points without elite OC's and OC's that are elite make the best HC's in this new era of football. Look how bad Brent Venables has been. Why he was going to light everything up. Great to get Dillion Gabriel but OU isn't going to light it up anytime soon without a better OC who can recruits. With a great offense, you can win right away, and that is what you need to get teh ball rolling and market your team to recruits. UGA's depth is falling back as other teams are getting more blue chips. Schumann has proven nothing, other than he's doing a fair job of limiting the damage at UGA. Last year was a clear drop off from the prior two years. And Kirby, remains to be seen if Mike Bobo can survive this much harder schedule this season. SC has had good defenses it just never equates to a better offense.. i think they need true offensive elite talent with a HC who can build offenses like that.

Before Monken UGA hadn't won a title since 1980. Through all those OC's and all those years Kirby was HC, nothing. not until Monken got there.
