Delirium tremens: shadow people and spiders 🕷️

In this video I discuss some of my personal experiences with alcohol withdrawal and delirium tremens. Why do we see spiders and shadow people??? Today we are going to try and find out. Stay safe and stay sober y’all!!

During acute alcohol withdrawal I have caught glimpses of shadow figures and spiders at a glance or in the peripheral. Never full on. But in combination with the paranoia and sense of impending doom that comes along with it I have found myself backed into the corner of my bedroom clutching a baseball bat and waiting for them to come for me 😅 Things will get pretty surreal after several nights of chronic withdrawal insomnia.

I know what you speak of blde, after 3-4 nights of no sleep your mind literally starts playing tricks on you. That combined with withdrawal it will send you into a dark place. Hope you are doing well brother, much love! 🙏

Interesting video. I remember DD talking about "shadow people." I've never had true delirium tremens. I've had alcoholic hallucinosis only twice. I describe what I went through in my video. I never saw insects - nor tactile hallucinations or spiders. It was like "Shutter Island" where I felt I was in a simulation designed by the treatment center I was in to drive me mad. Because I was sleep deprived and on phenobarbital, it's possible that could have caused it. I've never seen shadow people either. Also in my video I talk about demanding to see the doctor and the guy ahead of me was wearing a tactical bullet-proof vest. When I got to the hospital that is where I saw the skeleton sitting in a chair wearing an afro wig. It was very disturbing.

That’s super interesting shades and also super bizarre. It’s always the most disturbing/strange hallucinations. Never anything pleasant. I had stated of delusion as well in the hospital thinking the nurses were out to get me, which seems common the more I look into this stuff. We all have unique experiences with some of the same stuff thrown in there. Thanks for this comment brother, hope you’re doing well. Peace ✌️💯

Fortunately, I was in hospital when my worst DT experience occurred. I thought that I was a Warlock and that the hospital was under attack from werewolves. I was trying to get the Nurses (who I thought were witches in my Coven) to help me initiate the incantations to keep the werewolves at bay. It seems funny now, but it felt very real at the time.

This is such an interesting video!!! I remember feeling haunted in my family home as a child. It was a terrible feeling bc I didn't know if it was sleep paralysis bc people say that you see demonic looking shadows when stuck in sleep paralysis. But two times I have no explanation for. One time at a bar I used to work out, I was doing inventory in the basement (during the day, alone [besides a friend that that I asked to keep me company bc i was so freaked out]) and had already spent the whole morning feeling unsafe and threatened. I felt like there was always someone standing right behind me. It was summertime and yet I kept on getting slapped by a wall of cold air. While I was counting inventory in the basement, I heard someone slam open the front door, trample across the bar to the back door and slam out of the back door. I thought I'd mistakenly left the door unlocked when I let my friend in, so ran upstairs to confront whoever was messing around and ran straight into a locked door. Both doors were locked, there was no one there. When I went back downstairs, my friend was pale ghost and we just left. Also, when I was 14, I was sitting in my bedroom listening to very loud music and being moody. I was facing a closed door to a walk in closet that I shared with my sisters. As I was (somehow) zoning out into my music (so loud), I started to feel uneasy. Suddenly I heard what I can only describe as an aggressive exhale in my ear. It was so loud that I felt like I should have been able to feel the warm breath in my ear. When I ripped off my headphones, I heard someone trample from the back of the walk in closet to the front and slam against the door. The door actually shook from the speed in which it was hit. Again, I just left the room and silently freaked out. Lol I hope you're having a great week, friend!! This was a super interesting topic 😊❤ Hello community!!! I hope everyone's doing well!! ❤

Hi Slay! I'm glad you posted this video. I learned about shadow people many years ago before my alcoholism. I first had sleep paralysis at 13 and I tried to explain it to my parents but they thought I was crazy, my paternal grandmother gave me an explanation that it could have been catalepsy and explained to me that back in the world of many years ago; people used to get buried alive because when we sleep we essentially "die" a bit due to your brain relaxing your organs and youe heart beats lower. For some people with catalepsy the doctors couldn't detect a heart beat on the person essentially in a "sleep" but paralized state, they started putting a mirror under their nose to see if they would fog up from minimun breath warm heat and they would install bells inside coffins so of someone woke up from their "dead sleep" they could ring it and the cemetery guards would alert people to start excavation. Some people had already suffocated by the time they got to them. In my sleep paralysis episodes I never saw shadow people. Is already scary enough being awake and conscious and not being able to move at all and the heaviness on your chest. I'm not scared of it anymore, I can't tell if I'll have one tonight, tomorrow or in a few months. It comes at random I think from stress and lack of sleep. When I had the delirium tremens with hallucinations, auditory and tactile, that terrified me to my core and the first thing I saw when I woke up at 2 am, I managed to sit at the edge of my bed, it was dark but this thing stood right in front of me, darker than the dark with red glowing eyes, smiled at me in a very demonic, sinister way, his teeth were like razor sharp shark teeth shaped, i never saw the spiders but I saw these multi colored ball with spikes that resembled a tarantula and it launched at me and sunk his teeth and some other entity tried to help me get it off but it was like a hook in my skin, I swear I could feel the pain, I screamed so loud but nothing would come out of mouth in terms of sounds. I'm on the 2nd floor of the house, and there were shadow thinga lurking around outside the window, it confused the shit out of mw cause their "faces" were up against the window laughing, shadows of many different races would come in an out, you'd you know about their race if they are shadows darker the dark itself, I could see their silhouette, one was an Asian man smoking a cigarette, he was harmless, the other ones would laugh like demons but no sound came out of their mouths but I could hear it in my head, it sounded like millions of distorted voices at all once. It was SCARY. I was trying to get to the bathroom and there is this guard with a staff in hand, dressed like kkk style but in bright orange, I mustered the courage to get past it to the bathroom and looked in the mirror only to see myself built as a lego, I tripped and I shattered into thousands of pieces, I'm standing from outside my lego body pieces to put together, i remember crying cause I thought i was dead, it ia horrifying. God saved me that day and my son who blocked the door to the outside. I wanted to run away from these things. I remember some of these cause it terrified the soul out of my body and mind and back. I'm 9 days sober today :) no epileptic attack or delirium tremens this time. I pray every night I don't have those horrible nightmares and the violent body jerk movements. It has been a blessing, it started with the first video I watched of yours. It helped and I am forever grateful I made it til today with bo rehab or immediate family. Just faith, discipline and strong will and mind power. Thank you slay for your time making these videos. I'll recommend you to some people I met that are alcoholics. I dont want to say too much because I dont want to sound crazy eventhough I am, but I totally relate. The only thing is during sleep paralysis, I force myself to keep my eyes closed and wait for it to pass because im afraid of what I will see if look. You really hit the nail on the head when you said it was terrifying. It really is. I just experience a strange buzzing sensation all over my body and I sense something is watching me. Have you ever read Platos Allegory of the cave. We are all prisoners chained to a cave. Our heads face the wall and we cant turn our heads. And behind us a fire burns. Behind the fire, puppeteers hold up puppets and they cast shadows on the wall. And we precieve the shadows as reality. In glad you are still doing this. Keep going my friend. One day at a time!

I believe you man I stayed up for 2 weeks before getting hospitalized for psychosis, I thought I was dead and that death isn't real. I felt spiders crawling on me before but thankfully no shadow people or anything else except some unexplainable communication with the afterlife or something. I have heard many stories about these realms too though. Anyway I slowed right down on the drinking thanks to getting a lung infection from basically losing my immune system to alcohol. It's fine now I've just gotta remember to take my antipsychotics and I should be ok hopefully - I didn't get as deep as you did I think but I guess time will tell lol if I ever get this shit I'll let you know. And it might sound big headed but I'm gonna say it anyway; This stuff can be creepy if you don't know much about (the good side of) occult shit, basically just remember that you are way more powerful than any demon and that god always has your back - I don't want this to sound condescending in any way but if you realize there's nothing to fear then the fear goes away if you know what I mean. It's kinda deep tho I've read a few books and done a bunch of a psychedelics over the last decade (Which I don't recommend anyone doing btw) but I don't really fear that sort of stuff anymore. Just social interaction and getting hurt etc lol. Anyway Thanks for all the help man keep up the videos they help a lot.

I’m glad you’ve slowed down the drinking man, it’s just too dangerous. Drinking tons like we did as well is a sure way to cast you into a place that you just don’t want to be in. I don’t think that’s big headed either, a lot of the times when I feel fear or that uncomfortable feeling like something I’d watching you or whatever it might be I always pray and say god is more powerful than any dark force and I’m good. It really does work!! You have to believe it tho in your soul. Thanks for the awesome comment brother, more videos coming soon!! Take care. 💯🙏

I'm a chronic insomniac and go days without sleeping. During which, I see shadow people. So I started drinking heavily to fall asleep, which works at first but stops eventually. Then in a severely drunken state, combined with my manic depression, I would see shadows even more and nearly had a psychotic break. Moral of the story is, no matter what condition or illness you may have, NEVER add alcohol to it.

I had almost the same exact experience after hours. I’ve always suffered from insomnia as well. Not cool at all, let’s keep going strong and absolutely pouring alcohol on stuff helps nothing.

So years back unfortunately our martial arts school shut down, I had been going for 12-13+ years. It was devastating but understandable since the master of the school was up there in age. After it shut down I stopped entirely. Which I have a lot of regret about, I could possibly have my own school right now. That is so awesome about your son!!!!! Tell him to stick with it!!!
