My Daughter was an alcoholic, her withdrawals were horrendous. She went to rehab many times. She would drink a large bottle of vodka straight everyday sometimes more, she'd drink hand sanitiser or perfume if she couldn't get to the store. She lost everything. She died Aug '22 from alcoholic acidosis and malnutrition. She was only 39. It's broken my heart. I pray you never touch alcohol again. Praying for you.

Sit in a sauna for 40 minutes every morning at 170 degrees. Trust me, you will get past the withdrawals MUCH faster, including the mental cravings that follow.

My wife quit with me at the same time, the day after giving up she had an alcohol withdrawal seizure and we had to call an ambulance. A normal liver count was something like 40-60 and hers was 600+. It was so scary. She was released a few hours later and was a complete space cadet for 2 days - had no idea where she was, had all this memory loss and she had hallucinations one night and heard chanting outside, saw shadow people and spiders. It was terrifying to see her like that. I thought she'd be stuck that way and I'd have to put her in a facility. She and I are a year and a half sober and doing amazing now. We started rite of passage drinking at 17, maybe once a month and it took 23 years of drinking to get to her drinking 3 bottles of vodka every weekend and me drinking from Fri 5pm through to Sunday morning no sleep, just drinking 48 hours. It happens SO SLOWLY it can happen to anyone. My Sundays were real hell - just laying in bed shaking, sweating, hallucinating, having weird memories/dreams, CRUSHING depression, being too scared to leave the house, having hardly any energy to even lift my head from the pillow. Choose life.

Wow man my withdrawal stories are exactly like yours. Horrific experiences. My symptoms would start at 5am- basically four hours after my last drink.

Mines beer man, weekends are baddd, but i suffered a shoulder injury and was off work and home for the past month and i was drinking 6 to 12 beers a day no problem. I told myself this CANT keep up! Soon as im back to work im cuttin that before it gets worse; i had never drank like that before it was crazy and i felt ashamed, im in my first week now, no withdrawals, but i use these videos as motivation to better myself.
