I think it's because the city is too accustomed to foreigners and Kurt himself just feels like a dime a dozen tourist here. He wants to feel special and exotic and I get his frustration.

As much as I can appreciate the need for evolution - as a long-time follower of a few vloggers - this format doesn't lend itself to having a third person cameraman. Unless, of course, if you provide narration that is succinct and entertaining. Part of the charm of first-person vlogging is the moments wherein you're basically alone with the individual and their thoughts and actions. A 'fly-on-the-wall' view. Hope to see the return of the original format.

If I wanted to experience Thailand for the first time, Koh Samui is the last place I would want to go. I went there once and didn’t like it at all , dirty beaches, no culture ,over crowded and very expensive. There are so many nicer places to visit in Thailand.

I don't like it, if I had to I'd drink green tea but I don't like it either. I get my energy from eggs and droplets of iodine in water/electrolytes. Coffee makes me feel like sh!t, my entire life, I've tried giving it a chance.

I was in Samui a few weeks ago. I don't mind going out for a few beers early, but by 9.00pm I'm heading back to my hotel to sit on the balcony and watch people going by and Netflix. Love heading to Star Gym in the morning, then breakfast, then a walk on the beach. Enjoy.

Yep, 20 years ago when i first went to Koh Samui i could not even enter that place bcoz of my fear for snakes, but my friend (South African) liked it a lot😊. I have been to Samui about 5 or 6 times over the years, nice place.

It's not just because it's touristy. Kurt just doesn't fit in SEA. It's not his vibe, style, culture. He doesn't like the locals, he doesn't like the foreigners, he doesn't give a shit about the culture and he disrespects everything there is to disrespect. It's alright, you think you are better than them and you prefer rougher, more energertic and straight to your face places where you can speak the language, already know about the culture etc. Why not leaving instead of directly and indirectly insultung and devaluating everything and everyone you see in a direct or indirect way? It's not their fault you have to sell you ass for money or spend time at a place that you are disgusted by. Nobody forces you to train Muay Thai in Thailand. Would you spend time with a community you are disgusted by, just because you want to learn something from them? Watching Kurt is still interesting though, even if there always is this negative "I'm better than the rest and don't give a shit about animals misery" - attitude.

Kurt it looks like you're spending all your time in Lamai. If you're looking for 'debauchery' - head to Chaweng. But even moreso, head to Koh Phangan and surrounding areas like Haad Yuan. Lamai is nice, if you're older and like to find peace and quiet.
