Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

In this tutorial, Josh Powers shows you how to quickly tag all your custom assets using AI, making content discovery and placement easier than ever. This is only one of the many tools and features in Dash that take your Unreal Engine environment creation process and make it effortless.

    Please help me understand - if I tag assets packs from the UE Marketplace, will the content then be readily available via the Dash Plugin as I move between Project files? So I would no longer need to migrate content into individual Project files? Just discovered Dash today! Looks so intriguing!

    No, currently it does not work like that. Right now, we scan your project for assets, and those assets that exist within your project will be able to be computed/tagged and then you can search, browse, and use them, easier than ever before. But we will of course improve the system over time, so getting suggestions like yours is great! And as you have not seen Dash before, our content library is only one of many parts/tools of Dash, you can try it yourself for 30 days and see all the other cool tools/features :)

    i just bought your awesome product , is there a terrain sculpting option without having to leave your UI?

    Happy to hear that! No not right now, instead we have a tool that is called Create Terrain, it creates a terrain that you can adjust procedurally with a few settings. Right now it is more useful for smaller environments, but we are working on an update to that tool to create larger landscapes as well.

    @@polygonflow yes i know about your create terrain tool, and i really dont need a larger terrain, the problem is you cant specify where to put a lake or a cliff, so having perhaps a push/ pull tool and a smoothing one could help with that. Cheers.

    Are all the steps of the tool translated into Blue Print? Do you want a video that shows what a building looks like with the addition of dirt, peels, paper, and stickers? How was that transformed and its result inside Blue Print?

  • @polygonflow

    I hope I understand your question right, we use custom tools to generate the data inside Unreal, and although the result you see is native (Meshes, Curves, Scatters, etc..) the way we compute the result is custom, and doesn't use Unreal's Blueprints technology. And the main reason for that is that we want people to be able to share their scenes after using Dash and all the results should still be there and useable. :)

    Im trying to add my meshes from Bridge to Dash, but it is literally not finding my Megascans folder. it says i have only 250ish files total to compute, while i have way more than that.

    Your UE-Bridge Megascans assets should be in the specific Megascans folder in the Dash Content Library, don't you find them there? If so, open Dash preferences and make sure the path to UAssets folder is added to Dash👍 Megascans assets from standalone bridge is currently not supported in Dash Content Library.

    Your license is tied to your hardware ID, so if you changed something that resulted in a change of the Hardware ID, you can get license issues, yes. If you can send us an email to info@polygonflow.io we can make sure to help you sort it out! :)

    Unfortunately, the developers of Dash are being misleading when they suggest you have access to your megascans content. In fact Dash can not bring up the assets saved in your main stand-alone megascans folder. Frankly, it’s crazy not to have been able to resolve this issue before this AI release.

  • @polygonflow

    @polygonflow

    It's not misleading at all. Neither us nor the native UE Bridge plugin supports Megascans assets downloaded from the standalone Bridge software, or the Megascans website. What you're asking for is a new feature, and we already implemented atlas assets (something the Bridge UE plugin doesn't have) support to browse atlases download from the website/standalone app, with other asset types being on the list.

    @@fddesign It is not yet supported, so far we only support Megascans from the UE Bridge plugin, not standalone Bridge. We hope to support all Megascans assets in the future of course! :)

    1:31 "A few hours later" why is soo slow scanning assets? Connecter, uasset browser, promethean ai, all of those plugins scan around 5 to 10 minutes grabbing my assets to their respective content browsers, c'mon make it better, I have a coupon and I really want to use it.
