Not a huge Star Wars fan, BUT, that is an AWESOME light Saber! Looks like it has some "heft" to it, which a real weapon would have. Really liked the piece of pipe, foil tape, led lights effect. I don't have access to a 3D printer, but the rest I can swing. Very satisfying video/build. 😌

Looks awesome. I wonder if you cleared the frosted area away from where the upright fits into the base if the light would illuminate the edges of the upright. Just a thought.

Great job Derek! Your stand is a perfect complement to that sweet saber hilt! If you wanted to swap out the vertical support, could you integrate the Rebel Alliance "Starbird" emblem? That would be "canon" since the saber is similar to those of Luke Skywalker and Obi-Wan.

Possibly. I use a glowforge and absolutely love it. I’m happy to answer any questions you may have.
Too bad the light in the base couldn't have a slow rotation effect or go in a clock wise pattern effect. Add some type of glass dome cover to protect the lightsaber from dust and have some etchings in it to glow with the lights from the base. This is the way.
