Great video! I was just having issues with my Etowah timers and my Nayax and was just about to do this exact conversion on 4 bays. I had to use an optical isolator when hooking up the Etowah timer to the Nayax. You are right, way over kill.

I just set my Nayax readers to offer 4 options of pricing. This eliminates the need to press stop on the reader - the customer pre-selects how much they want to spend and eliminates refunds and confusion.

I'm actually looking to replace my aging swipe-only card readers with a new system. Your videos came at the right time. What made you pick Nayax over the other ones out there? Monex, etc.

In my opinion Nayax and Monex right now are the top options for a good looking reader that accepts all forms of payment. What I like about Nayax is they are extremely versatile for almost any machine. They also have very clean reports. They use the MOMA app to view real time sales reports.

Have you ever hooked the Nayax up so it reads the bills and coins? I understand that a few of the pulse wires on the Nayax are also input wires to read bills or coins. I’ve just never played with that feature, but it sure would be nice to log into the app and see exactly how many bills are in the bay.

Right now I have about 16 of the Nayax reader, but I am constantly getting them going off line and showing 99 antenna strength and then it just shows a clock timer of how long it’s been off line. I am being told that I may need the high gain antennas.

Thanks for the informative video! I got one question for you. Do you happen to know when installing the harness from the Nayax is there a way to completely bypass the Nayax system so that when a customer uses cash, it does not activate/keep track of the cash transaction on Nayax core or Moma? But still keeps track for credit card, debit and prepaid card transactions.

Dixmor LED8 does not work with Nayax. I had to swap out for LED7’s.

Where do u mount ur antennas? My are always loosing connection!!!

Nayax readers will not operate with a Dixmor 8 timer. I found out the hard way.

How do the Nayax readers connect to the internet? Do they have their own modems? Utilize your internet modem? Any issues with connection on yours?

Nayax uses a cellular signal and comes with a sim card pre-installed. No on-site internet required.

in the case of a customer being charged the $20 max, how do you handle that situation? And does Nayax have the option to select the amount you want, tap, and then it count down ?

Customers will sometimes call and ask why they were charged the Max Price. I will ask them to text me the last four digits of the card and look it up and issue a partial refund or in some cases full refund. I will then remind them that next time they need to press the stop or the X on the reader to end charges. My customer base at my car wash has mostly learned this. You can setup "Count Down" on the Nayax with a pre-selected amount. In my experience count up is more profitable and doesnt rush the customer.

@@therevestor I feel the best of both worlds would be to be able to wire in the STOP position to the reader and it ending the transaction after a 1-minute timeout when it's selected. Aside from that, pausing the billing while the selector's on STOP would be perfect for the customer, but I do understand that billing for idle time is part of the calculation. On the other hand, customers may spend more if they are not pressed for time and feel hurried; hard to say.

Sounds like a set up specifically designed to charge people who are not familiar with the system $20 for a $5 service. As someone who designs financial software this kind of user interface would be a no go.
