As a regular consumer of car washes I’d definitely encourage you to install an automatic car wash with cloth brushes and automatic dryers. If I lived in that area you’d have me as a regular twice a week customer!

Just to put a different opinion in..... I too most-often use the automatic car wash, but I will ONLY use the touchless ones. I don't want my vehicle being damaged by some idiot who went through before me with a ton of mud/stones/etc on their vehicle. The cloth & rotary brushes retain that crap for several vehicle washes afterwards.

I’m in the process of purchasing a four bay car wash myself . Three self service and one automatic that’s very dated.

Also, that is a hell of a lot of soap. Here where I am it's 1€ for 2 mins. Equals 30€ per hour. I can't imagine being profitable with that much soup for 30 an hour. I don't know how it is in the states though. I'd maybe put a economy and premium setting on the switches, with different pricing for different soap quantities and/or qualities. But then again, it may be completely different in the US as far as pricing for materials, power and general cost and labour

Speaking for the out of service vac, I recommend putting traffic cones and an under construction/service sign (or similar) there. It's just a little frustrating experience backing into a bay, getting out of your vehicle and seeing it won't work. It's the little things in my opinion. These do leave a mark with customers

Is it normal if when I watch these carwash videos from you guys, I get the gbs Excitement. One day, I'll be the third guy making videos down in Texas. Think I can have a small twist for Self-Serve carwash

@therevestor I should start my renovation in September. All new concrete in bays and aprons. Heated floors, new coin boxes, tire brush, foam brush, triple foam, air shamee, new pumps and stand, RO unit, new signage. I purchased car wash may 12, 2023. I didn't know anything about cars washes except what I learned from you and car wash chronicles

I like to run about a 35 degree fan. If you get to wide it hits the edges of the tip. 4030 is a good size.

Are you using JBS or KR for your chemical products? If so which products are you using? I'm blowing up a rural wash in Oklahoma and we're looking for a chemical supplier :-)
