When I was 15 back in the early 60’s I worked in a shoe shop on a main road, every week an elderly lady walked past her hair would be pink and she carried a pink poodle, next week her hair would be blue...blue poodle, purple, pink, orange blue, poodle to match 😃😃 I keep trying hair it never looks like the artist I am following but I keep trying! I think I’m getting better

I'm not new to coloring as an adult, it's a passion I've kept at since childhood, though I've come back to it after a long break. I started doing arts and crafts with my small son this year, recently while looking for supplies for him, I picked up an adult coloring book for myself (I'm in Switzerland but American, I'm using the Coloriage Wild 3 book by Avenue Mandarine). It has beautiful faces of black, white, and mixed girls looking like wood nymphs. I finished the first page, and though I was happy with how it turned out, it was flat looking. So, I began looking at tutorials for the next page which had straight hair instead of Afro hair. I came across your videos, and you have upped my game over night!! Your videos are extremely thorough, and easy to follow! I'm going through them all, and have re-watched a few. This is a long comment, but thank you for the effort you put into your channel, you are a wealth of information.

Beautiful results. My technique for hair is to do the highlight color first, then the midtone in the darkest areas of the hair, then lay the dark color on the midtone. Does that matter to the end result? Or is your technique better?

I love the unicorn hair color I would do it to my hair if I could afford to keep it up. There's no telling what it would cost me my hair is almost to my waist. Cut off 4 inches the other day . Didn't even miss it. That's cool your daughter got to go to art school. I had a chance to go to Art college. In Minneapolis. But I couldn't afford it. I was one of 8 chosen to do a new program. But I have my acceptance letter . But happy your daughter got to. That's awesome.

Nope haven't tried green hair. My 40 year old is dyeing her hair a purplish gray hair when she first said gray hair I told her wait a few years it will come free of charge. Lol. My girls are always dyeing their hair they go from blonde to black to brown to Auburn always are surprising me with their new color. 😍 when you have 3 girls especially 1 that's an Amazing hair stylist she does all her friends weddings from braiding to buns to whatever she can do it also can put on makeup so good. Now her 2 oldest daughter's are fabulous at doing it fabulous cheerleaders and singers she was too is a fabulous singer. But thanks for this fabulous video never have done much hair coloring so this is soooooooo helpful for me. Thanks soooooooo much. Appreciate it. Soooooooo much. Definitely going to try this as soon as I can. ❤😍 Oh hon keep forgetting to ask you did you ever get to send the CMW color blending system part you were getting for me? It looks like you added streaks of brown into the hair. Yes? if so, which browns? I'm going to follow this tutorial with a coloring page of the back of a girls head wearing braids.

Lol I am 56 and my hair is silver blue fading to a dark blue at the bottom. Last time it was blue at the top and faded into purple. Go for pink to match your nails!!

Mariola Budek is a woman, I’m sure you know that by now 😍, I once dyed a strand of hair purple, but could not commit to the damage (decoloration kills your hair) and maintenance those hair colors require. What do you do when the illustrator only provided a blob and no hair strand definition?

I guess it never dawned on me to do shadeing and blending with the medium . But have just started using the medium . when I seen you doing this on that candy adult coloring page. They can be a job all on there own . And when I seen you blending and shadeing puting your highlights. I thought to myself this woman has some patients! Because when I do some of my adult coloring pages I start thinking sometimes. Will I ever finish this. And get tired . Hours pass before you know it. And still coloring on same chaotic page. I have to stop and work another day. I bought every color medium possible for my adult coloring book s . I have my own hoarding of it. L.o.l ! Thought I would switch up use mixed media to color them to help save money on art supplies. Still don't have my prismacolor set yet but one day when I get extra money maybe. Right know I have Sargent color pencils that says you can blend and layer with still haven't tried them yet. Got some of the wood less artist grade pencils. But want a large set of but not sure if they sell large range of color s in them. Seen pack of 12 in one set. And the packs of two sold separately gold and silver that I bought three of.

Love it! I did my fairy with green hair. I used the Faber Castell polys, and by the end, I turned to the prisma pencils. Lol. 😄 😄. But she was my first hair doing in good pencils! . Depends what I am using to draw. If I am doing original artwork I normally use Strathmore mixed media, or Strathmore pastel. For printing coloring book pages I use nee nee bristol velum smooth not textured.

Another great teaching video...lol....nope..no green hair for me....I can enjoy seeing it when someone else does it, but....I just can't put non-natural colored hair on people or animals...it has to be natural for me. Which makes a challenge this month in a Facebook group interesting. All the pictures are animals, we have a palette of 9 colors chosen for us, need to all colors and no Browns are included, lol....figured out to make brown using yellow and purple though! 😀

The only thing I can do, thanks to you, is hair! I get all of my portraits from ETSY. But I've not heard of this illustrator/artist before. Spelling of his name? The pronunciation got lost in between Brooklyn, Manhattan, and Georgia! LOL! Got it! MariolaBudekArt!
