Kirsty Partridge Art perfect 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍💜💜💜💜💜💜
The fact that she's trying to make it bad in the first drawing but ends up looking better than all my drawings combined makes me wanna get drunk and cry in a corner.

🤣🤣🤣🤣 On a serious note, you can always improve. Remember technique is very important. It won't help much to draw frequently, if you do the same thing every time. I know this comment is a year old... Anyway, I wish you well!!

Lol same 😂
I really do appreciate your dedication. Not to throw shade to other KZread artist but I feel that most of them just make absurd videos just to have views & of course $. Example : I've seen someone who drew inside out and I understand that people are not going to draw good especially if they are beginners BUT she didn't even explain like what colors she use, how to blend, why she picked the colors , etc. the drawing was tiny . She just didn't put dedication and the video was very short. You explain EVERYTHING so well. You teach us how to blend, how to shade the colors, to layer first, etc. ❤️✨
Her DONT'S are better than my DO'S.
It's kind of crazy how realistic you draw things. No wonder you're so successful on Patreon. You deserve it. You're also an easy to love person. Delightful and sweet and INCREDIBLY talented!!!!!

BLESS YOUR HEART KIRSTY!!! I love your tutorials, these are so helpful!!!
It broke my hearth to see you using the beautiful Caran D’ache Luminance pencils for the don’t drawing.
great tutorial once again Kirsty, fantastic explanation, keep up the GREAT work you do 😚
Kirstie I love how you do your hair! Simply stunning!
It would really help if you also showed us your reference photo. I liked it when you did that.

Yasmine Art just checked out your channel and I love your art :)
Let me begin by thanking you for these videos and I recommend them to any aspiring artists. Now, I am doing a mixed media drawing of some friends of mine. I did the structure, and used watercolor bricks to lay down my base layer, and a few mid tones. So i am using color pencils for my detail work and was trying to determine about the hair. Lots of browns and oranges all in her hair, which I the referne is pulled up, so using this video to learn to proceed. But the watercolor paper I used does have a texture and thus far, had to do a lot of blending to fill in the texture. ( I picked this paper based on weight).
I'm a begginer at realism with color pencil and your video helps me a lot, you explain everything so well. Thank you!!
Nice detail to the highlights ,amazing work
Awesome tutorial as always Kirsty and the result was phenomenal, you are an outstanding artist.

Oh I forgot to say how much I love the Strathmore Bristol Plate 500 Series it is absolutely amazing. I think it is the cotton in the paper that allows you to get loads of layers even though the surface is really smooth, I think the cotton absorbs the pigment allowing for the layers. I could be wrong but that's what it feels like to me when I use that paper. I just love Strathmore, their range of papers for artists is outstanding. Any way thank you so much for a wonderful tutorial and sorry for rambling on lol.
I wonder if you could do a tutorial on curly hair, especially the type of hair that people of color have, really fuzzy and curly.
Amazing. It is so nice to see your channel grow and grow!!
Omg had to pause and comment about the colour selector tool... GENIUS!!!!!!!
You are definitely really good at it. Something comes to my mind now...there should be sets available with 6/8/ 10/12 colors to specific skin tons, haris and fur..just an idea....cheers!
Out of sheer curiosity, do you have ANY idea how amazing of an artist you really are? I’m always completely blown away by your art!!!
I love arts and I want to practice Color pencil techniques thank you! Great video 💕

Pink Spirit if your gonna do many layers paper with a bit of texture is much better and then burnish for a smooth look. :)
Addicted to your videos recntly!! 😄😄 Can you please do a tutorial how to draw face from the side?
I just love your art i have aways whated to draw like that
excellent!👍🕊
Even the "don't" drawing looks good...
Thank you for idea drawing hair portrait your the best.
I think your the worlds best hair and fur drawer. bravo.
Congratulations on 1million . Can you give a tutorial one how to draw realistic 4a,b, or c hair with colored pencils please.
Now I'm very confused. XD Some artists say I need to use textured paper to be able to add more layers, and you tell me I need to use smooth paper. Personally I've always liked smoother paper better, because it get's more smooth (obviously). But also, smooth paper has less tooth and you can add fewer layers. But it doesn't get a grainy look. Arrgh! I guess it's up to the artist and the style of drawing maybe? :)

Syster Yster I have the same issue, augh. Have you ended up figuring anything out about it, personally? I still don't know which to go with >_
@SysterYster

Teddy Bear in Russian {Mishka} I really don't know. So far, the best I've found is fairly thick paper, such as you can both draw and paint on, but that's still smooth. But copy paper smooth and/or thin is really bad. Apart from that... I don't know. XD

textured paper is good for wet media, charcoal, and pastels, while smoother paper is best for pencil drawing and marker. however, you still want some tooth on the paper pencils so the pigment has something to grab onto and you can add layers. for marker (things like copics) you want it as smooth as possible.
@AmyMichelleWiley

I’m confused about this too. I guess you need medium tooth, more than marker paper but less than watercolor.
Outstanding
Great educational video. I think your one of the greatest artists on u tube and I find it a bit ironic that you only have about over 97,000 subscribers, with your art talent and teaching skills I would have expected that your subscribers would be at 900,000. Other than that keep up the grate work that you do because your on your way to becoming a master artists of the 21st century. "😉
Girl both of the drawings were so good way better than any drawings I’ve done 😂🤩
the eye droper tool. on paint app. now i know. thanks to you!
Wooooow beautiful and amazing
Thank you ❤❤
Great video! Can you do a tutorial on clouds?
Your pictures are beautiful
I just love your videos and tutorials, you focus on important and useful informations and present them clearly. I bought few tutorials from your website and am very satisfied and happy, my drawing skills finally see some progress. Thank you Kirsty. In this video you've mentioned that there is a difference between how to draw with Caran d'Ache Luminance and Faber Castell Polychromos. Can you tell more about that difference in technique?
Your don't side is better than mine! You keep pointing out all of the mistakes in it. Meanwhile I'm just like :O this is amazing. :D
great video. thank you!! is there any chance of a video on how to draw wet hair? specially wet black hair?
Amaizing 🤩
Considering you're starting a coloured pencil tutorials theme I'd love to see one on maybe fur, or another video suggestion would be different paper since I struggle with so many choices, If you've done this before I'd love to be directed to it! 😊
Wow, I never realised you could use a craft knife for lighter hairs. I'll definitely attempt it in my drawings
could you make a video about the do's and don'ts of using pastels?
Thanks for teach
EXCELLENT. Enjyoyed it. As a suggestion, if you have the pencil color typed on top, so can understand the colors being used better.
Great
Is there a video or could you make a video of continuing to draw the rest of the face?
beatiful
Best ch.
Thank you this is helpful.i will work really hard with colored pencils.first I do is draw light sketch with a sharp HB,hb pencil on printer paper is it good to use printer paper.😓😮
It would be interesting to see you do a self portrait

Ur a genius
I have just one question do you have to pay to be able to watch the Longer Tutorials on your patron?
does the knife-technique also work with polychromos? i think they are oilbased instead of waxbased. great video and the final hair looks just amazing :)
Can you do one on how to color the face?
Excellent !!!!!which colour shades did you use?
The dont example is the best looking bad picture i have ever seen
Can you use the technique with the craft knife for faber castell polychromos pencils? Also, thanks for this tutorial it was really helpful and detailed.
Great points, and one thing I agree with in particular is never use yellow if you're drawing blonde hair. If you combine it with black for the other hair strands it looks horrible and totally unnatural. You should use a range of browns from light to dark depending on the reference photo
It's good
wowww.....a good news...you have got a new subscriber......amazing video...its sooo understandable......pls reply meee......just got addicted to your channel
Have you used the new Derwent Procolour coloured pencils? They seem to be good for blending but I wondered about your experience. You talk about being self-taught. I was wondering about how much time you have devoted over the years to reach your level of expertise?

Janet O'Dell I believe a lot of time should be devoted to art especially if you want to get to this level.
It was so good Do not be tired lm from lran
I don't have Caran D' Ache Lumiance . Does it come out the same if I use any other coloured pencil ?
Do you use any techniuque for your sketch?Or do you just go in and free hand it?
The don't is good too
I only have those ordinary school colored pencils, will that knife work with those kind of pencils?
@nicole._.sunshine

KywokiYakasaki I'm pretty sure they work on any coloured pencils. I use watercolor pencils because they can act as a 2 in 1 and the knife works of them.
