Learn about some of the crazy stories of exploring Australia in this episode of Aussie English where I review the book The Explorers by author Tim Flannery.
I cover my favourite Australian explorers' stories including those of Willem Janzs, Burke and Wills, Te Pahi, Robyn Davidson, John Batman, Hamilton Hume, Carl Lumholtz, David Carnegie, W. J. Peasley and Warri and Yatungka and their mate Mudgon, and a few more!
There're also many great stories of indigenous Australians and how they interacted with Australia's European explorers from the early 1600s all the way up to 1977.
It's a great read, so if you're interested in Australian history and culture and the continent's exploration by European settlers, check out Tim Flannery's book 'The Explorers'.

Hi, Pete! =)
If the European used ships, maps & compasses to reach Australia, how did the indigenous people did that in the first place?
In Polish we also use 'grubo' (fat) when something is amazing :D
