Cornershop - Brimful Of Asha, Norman Cook Mix (Tjinder Singh) Official Music Video
Музыка
Brimful Of Asha is from the classic When I Was Born For The 7th Time album. It was John Peel's Festive 50 no.1 on BBC Radio 1 in 1997, and this version made it to no.1 in the UK charts. Norman Cook liked the original so much he requested to mix it himself, and it resulted in one of the most well known tracks that the world has ever heard.

I am 45 today, and all I wanted was a Brimful of Asha. I have waited sixteen years to write this comment.
I've been looking for this song for years, finally...

My dad sometimes played this on the car stereo throughout my childhood. I'd never tell him but it was my favourite song of his, many happy memories.
Reminds me of my childhood summers. What a glorious time to be alive.
Oh man... this takes me back! Ahh when MTV still played music and not fake reality shows. Good times.

***** Watched VH1 all the time as well ;) We're getting old man :(
I am lucky to grow up in Europe in the 90's. BRING ME BACK MY 90's DAMMIT!!
Brilliantly original and fresh even after all these years. Always makes even a miserable old curmudgeon like me feel happy.
1998 was the greatest year of my life.
This song is how my mum named me, I have a great mum:D
I'm 45 and live above a corner shop.
Was about 7 when this came out. Used to take the radio into the bathroom, recorded it onto cassette, used to bathe and just rock out to this. Haven't heard it since I was about 10 now! Had it on repeat for 2 days. Yesterday walked around my house with a brush pretending it was a guitar. Live in remote China and showing people this, they love it too! Nursery teacher too so cant wait to go to work, bop out with my kids to this. They need the same experience of this that I had when I was a kid.
My mum put this one a few days ago and said I used to sing it all the time with my dad when I was little I was born in 94 and this came out in 97.. Weird how You can still remember songs from years and years ago! Good song thou! Why can't music today be like this!!
This and "jamiroquai - virtual insanity" are my earliest memories of music.

This is one of the few songs I remember loving as a kid, I still have no idea what the words are other than "A brimful of Asha on the 45"
timeless, Tjinder. this will live on through the ages.
I was obsessed with this song when I was a kid, I still think it's great now! Was listening to this song on New Hits 98 album :D
How the hell can this be 15 years old already ? Man I miss the late 90's, so much good music !
I kept looking everywhere for "45 song", found nothing. So I asked the weird guy at my work and he not only knew the song i was talking about but he knew the band and owned their CD also.
Remind me of when I was a kid! Love this song
