Adam Cousineau a) this has literally nothing to do with race B) the columbine shooting was literally right before this was released, so obviously it would be in bad taste to sing about someone bringing a gun to school more like 'Americans' and the gun rights

Corvette1985 im British mate idk what the second amendment was but I assume its the one about 'right to defend' and gun rights. In which case, fine. And no, they didnt HAVE to censor it. Most versions are not. But given this was the official version and was released right afterwards and talked about him specifically bringing a gun to a school, it was respectful of them to censor it. The Columbine shooting was pretty important and it was nice of them to show respect to everyone involved.

After stealing the chipmunks, Ian formed a band and pursued his dream of becoming a musician himself. Dave kept in touch with the chipmunks after the break-up and died of testicular cancer at the age of 63. Theodore decided to quit music and moved to Nashville with Eleanor to live a quiet life. Simon published two solo albums before he gave up and invested in the sunglasses business. Alvin died of an overdose at the age of 27.
