I would say being homeless , lazy and unwilling to better ones self and riding around on a bicycle not obeying traffic laws is way more shameful than being a police officer that has to deal with more shit and more criminals than ever in the history of the world. Also, when you get hit by a car because you didnt stop for the red light or stop sign Im sure you would absolutely not be able to take responsibility for your actions and cry, lie and bitch about it , if you survive, that the other person is the one at fault and in the back of your small tiny mind thinking lawsuit too? Anyway, you are free to live a shameful and worthless existence. Just so it in an upstanding and lawfull way. This way the police can do their jobs better by not having to deal with fuckups like you and then are able to serve the honest hardworking tax payers that may have had their bike stolen or are in need moral support after hitting a person on a bike that did not stop at a stop sign or other important matters. Get a job, get an ID and stop with the bullshit already. You dont like the police until you desperately are in need of their services and your own personal protection. And if you do not pay taxes why should you even receive any at all? They put their lives on the line for EVERYONE. Rich, poor, black, white, brown, stupid and the intelligent, homeless and those with homes and renters too. Grow up and dont commit infractions on your bike. You do not have the right to do that. I don't have a ton of experience here, but there's some arguments and sources out there regarding whether or not an infraction is actually a crime. I guess if you're of the mind that any violation of the law is a crime, and an infraction is a violation of the law, then an infraction is a crime. If an officer saw you commit a crime, he can detain you to investigate. When he lawfully detains you, he can require you show your identification (IF your state is a require-to-ID state, and its likely that not all states are such). Even if they are they will be so only when you are lawfully detained, a cop cannot just randomly walk up to you for no reason and force you to produce your ID. So, yes, I do believe the cop is correct here, although I didn't watch the whole video because it got so repetitive.

I should also say, if the cops motives were to stop and inform the suspect, he should not need to ask for identification. He could just say, hey, bikes have to stop at stopsigns as well just like cars, and let the man be on his way, but it seems like the cop wanted to turn this into some kind of bigger ordeal than it needed to be. There's also an argument that the cop should have better things to do than bother people riding their bicycles around the park in the middle of the day. It almost borders on harassment and petty behavior on the part of the cop.

This officer handled this improperly, but most states mandate that cyclists follow the same traffic laws that drivers do, I've almost hit more cyclists than I could count when they blow reds and stops signs

Yes, technically the cop was in the wrong but you still need to be careful around stop signs. There are LOTS of crashes involving stop signs every day.

What if this guy filming pulled a gun on the officer since the officer didn’t call for backup, now the officer is shot and radioing shots fired. Although since the subject was being uncooperative at the very start, it was very smart for the officer to call for backup in case things went south

THE SUPER WAS EMBARRASED THAT HIS COP STOPPED THE WRONG PERSON FOR THE STOLEN BIKE.. THAT'S WHY HE LEFT HURRIEDLY WITHOUT COMING UP TO THE BIKER TO CONFIRM HE HAD A STOLEN BIKE... THE BOBO COP NEEDS TRAINING.. HE DID NOT EXPLAIN THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A CRIME AND AN INFRACTION... WHEN ASKED SEVERAL TIMES BY THE BIKER WHETHER HE COMMITTED A CRIME, HE KEPT REPEATING HE COMMITTED AN INFRACTION WHICH IS NOT A CRIME.. IT IS TRUE THAT A CYCLIST MUST OBEY RED LIGHTS AND STOP SIGNS, HOWEVER, IT IS UP TO THE CYCLIST TO USE DISCRETION AT AN INTERSECTION.. A BICYCLIST CAN LEAVE ON RED LIGHT AT HIS DISCRETION.THE SAME IS TRUE AT A STOP SIGN.. BUT WE ALL KNOW THAT THE INITIAL STOP WAS NOT ABOUT LEAVING FROM A STOP SIGN..EITHER COPS NEED BETTER TRAINING, OR THEY NEED TO QUIT PROFILING PPL, AND GET ON WITH POLICING CRIMINALS.

That cop is so obviously a world class dunderhead. Wow. He is not ready for the responsibility he has accepted. My Dad would have called it "making a mountain out of a mole hill." And, what's worse, the supervisor doubles down on the ongoing farce.

This officer seemed to be on a fishing expedition. Had you ran a stop sign he could have and should have just told you to follow the rules of the road. No ID needed. Plain and simple.

jajajaja I LOVE THIS KIND OF VIDEOS when a plain Citizen know his rights and give a lesson to these abusers, they think are a BIG SHOT because are using Uniforms but they forgot that they WORK for us the Citizen who pay their salary... Me personally I STOP saying hi to the officers 9/10 NEVER respond back, what they thing they are??? in my neighborhood live a few, they dont even look at you, what they think that we are going to ask for any "Special Favor" or what RIDICULOUS... on this days is Very hard to find a Nice and Polite Police Officers
