When you have less you worry less... and can appreciate the more simpler things in life with a smile... It makes me think of the people that live the minimalistic life found out that this is true... The beginnings of being a monk starting out with two robes ... That part resonated with me

For me it's peace and Contentment. One don't need much to be contented in life. Sometimes the less we have, the better. Just having basics should suffice ☺️ There are some people who have and can buy anything their heart desires but I feel like.......... The more we have, the more we want. The more we want, the less contented we become. What a great interview Ven Nick. Thank you once again for sharing ✌🏻

@@happytraveller8953 Thankyou for this information. I didn’t know women could become monks. I always thought it was for men but of course it makes total sense that some ladies would want to follow Buddhism. I’m a catholic but seem to have turned to Nick for some peace and knowledge. The world lost an amazing spiritual guide in the past week, Thich Nhat Hanh. May he rest peacefully, and may his life and teachings continue to inspire the future generations 🙏🏼. Thank you Nick for the goodness you bring to this world. Your video on the holidays touched me and resonated deeply, and even if you and your brothers are so far away, for a minute I felt your good vibrations. Sending all of you warm hugs from very cold Montreal 🤗. I loved your brother’s expression “human being, not human doing”!

This is beyond inspiring. Amazing! The bit about cleaning toilets resonated deep in me (clean surroundings = clean mind). Also, when I do humble tasks, I forget the "self". I love you both, Nick and Pete. Peace and enlightenment.
What reasonated with me was how open and honest is the New Monk with adapting t his rebirth, how hard and challenging this new life new way of thinking and rewiring the mind and how powerful our mind really is, blessing to this baby monk on his enlightenment, i struggle with my Ego mind at times and it is a struggle living a true authentic life this worldly material world is a true distraction and i love your videos because it brings me back inside having that Ah ha moment.
Listening to Pete at the beginning of his journey was inspirational and filled with ethusiasm. It also highlighted how far you have come on your path Ven. Nick...esp. the sense of calm and inner peace that radiates from you! Now Pete is on the same journey and it would be wonderful to check in with Pete's progress from time to time along the way to watch his spiritual growth/transformation. Good morning to all dear people 🙏💐From introduction to wish for audience , every part depicts it's importance. This journey is so pure that we can rarely differentiate. I like this journey from childhood.. Calm, serene mainly pure. Purity is essence of the life. Sudden departure of Ven. Tich Nhat Hanh - father of mindfulness, made me little still.. But..Anicca vat sankhara uppad vay dhammino 🙏💐 I read many books of him & contemplating on those honestly. Renunciation certainly gives more happiness as there is no grasping or craving for anything. When mind is free from craving, it finds serenity & purity everywhere. Take care you all kind people. With lots of Metta to everyone 🙏💐 Namo Buddhay 🙏🌼

Having "patience" resonates most. Meditation practice takes discipline and I find there are lots of distractions and temptations with all of the freedom we have in lay life. I wish to get back on track with following the 8 precepts. This discipline has a positive impact on me. Old habits of "wanting" creep up on me and it's a reality I am dealing with the past weeks. Very interesting and informative interview. Sadhu

My best wishes for Pete, and thanks to him for sharing his thoughts and experiences with us! And what a wonderful answer you gave him at the end, Nick, in each and every aspect. What resonated most with me was, that I want to learn to respond in a way like this way to people who turn to me asking for my advice: to first of all appreciate this person, and to state this person‘s value and what is special about that person, and what good that one brings to other people - and to communicate my advice from this basis ongoing. It was like a blessing for Pete and really impressed me. And I think I could see in Pete‘s face what a gift your reply was to him and that he was moved to receive this appreciation. I was moved, too.
What a lovely interview! Realizing/feelizing.... how profound. 🙏

Hola Ven. Nick! I just watched the interview of your guest Luang Pi Pete and it was so beautiful and profound.. I love every part of the conversation and especially his insights about realizing and feelalizing by practicing it through experience. Also I love how he analyzed beautiful and gave insights definying the true nature of emotions!!! I felt that he is in the right path since he practiced from an early age meditation because his spirit and soul knew it inside. He has a fresh, enthusiastic, spontaneous view in the monastic life and I believe that with the support of the community will become wiser!!! Wish you both Stillness!! Love and blessings to you and the brothers Monks ♥️♥️♥️🙏🙏🙏🎊 thank you for sharing this amazing content with the world!!! Sadhu Sadhu 😊🙏❤️❤️🎊
To me he already is a genuinely cultivated, friendly, sophisticated person - let alone what he might be five or ten years later if he continues his spiritual path ... And your advice at the end seems to be so true and important ...
Realizing vs feelizing!!! Love it
Ven Nick This was wonderful . However I am unable to decide which part resonates me because i can relate with every bit of information shared . The part i liked the most was when Ven Pete talks about the changes especially waking up at 4:30am . Morning person . Big achievement. It was as if i was hearing Ven Nick as newbie in 2022 . Thank you for sharing such wisdom sadho sadho 🙏. And Ven Pete Thank you for sharing your experience openly with us . By the way congratulations for having made a beautiful philosophy “Realising and fee--alising”.🙂 & I wish you all the very best for your monkhood journey . Blessings to both of you !✨
One of the points that stood out most for me it was less is more... Even though I am not attached to material possessions, I realized that at times having things was to fill a void I was feeling inside. Consumerism is part of the cycle of looking outside for fulfilment which is an illusion. Thank you for this video today. Even though monastic life isn't my calling there are useful tips I can incorporate in my daily life for me to be closer to Self and daily practice.
