Conquering Crohn's Disease | Wim Hof Method

Ойын-сауық

For years, Hans tried in vain to keep symptoms of his Crohn’s condition in check. As the treatments got more severe, their efficacy remained low.
At wits end he found Wim Hof, and from his first encounter with the breathing and cold, Hans knew he had found the antidote he was looking for. His consistent practice slowly beat the condition into remission. With his health returned and the worry off his shoulders, Hans now pays it forward as a WHM instructor.

I was diagnosed with Crohn’s in 2017 and immediately put on biologics. In 2021 they appeared to be failing for the second time. Got off all meds and buckled down on The Method. I am now 16 months medication-free and on the road to healing. This is the way.

I had Crohn's disease for years and it went untreated for a long time. was on those biologicals for three years and then I finally decided that I had had enough. the medication helped take me from dying to living again but I couldn't live with my doctors lifelong prescription. Then I found whim and others (meditation in general) and now I have been off my meds for 3 years+! It is so empowering to see the success of others too!

I strongly support that message. I believe in it because i experienced similar improvement with the Wim Hof breathing. Crohn diagnosis 1991, medicine could only treat symptoms but never the root cause. Therefore i fast got off the drugs and have tried several alternative healing methods. To make a long story short. For me the break through has been glutenfree, lowFoodmaps food and Wim Hof breathing. I started cold showers but just recently...

Damn... I wish I heard about this(and about Wim Hof) when I was in elementary school (it's when my Crohn's disease 'woke up' for me). This definitely could've helped me, but now it's too late for me (since I had to have my lower intestines cut out of me, which won't grow back, and a lot of immune systems live there. Plus I'm very thin and seem to be unable to get it to change, so I really don't know if I should do cold baths. I do try to do the breathing exercise tho, and I need try to do it more often.) But no matter. Either way, thank you for sharing this, I really hope it will help someone, make many more people actually conquer the Crohn's disease and become free of it before it gets too bad for them. Much love Wim, You're an incredible person.

Exposure should be incremental. Start slow, progressively but be consistent. Cold exposure to me can be dangerous to me because of arterial issues (im only 30 but you get the cards youre dealt), however I still go through my ice baths 3-4 times a week while I can given the circumstances. Consistency is key here, your body needs it. Start a strict regiment and stick to it while monitoring your progress. I guarantee you wont regret it ! I saw an elderly lady (in her 60s) do it for 4mins, I think its fair to say we need to push ourselves a little sometimes :)

Yes you may try out 🍀 when considering diet , my allergies are better when I manage to keep out most of white sugar and restrict the overall Carb Intake , I also try avoid eat GMO foods especially wheat , Pasta from Italy is GMO free 🍀 Organic Broccoli is suiting me well, also Onions that boost my Gut Health and I feel better. in general Kale is good I believe and Onions is promoting the Good Bacteria and Kill the Bad Bacteria which supports the Immune system and may keep allergies down, 🙏

Thank you for sharing. The biologicals gave me dizziness for over a year and other side effects... doctors sent me away. Take it into your own hand if you suffered long enough and dare. WHM is a method with very little to no risk, so there is nearly no additional harm for the majority of people. You realize that (I have had CU) the mindset you develop and of course the lesson, that you are only dependend on YOUR FUCKIN' SELF to heal you, is key, especially for people with colon problems.

I'm sick with Bechterew and Hidrosadenitis, and planed to start biologic treatment to suppress my immune system. What exactly should I do? For how long a day should I do the breathing exercises? How often get cold exposure? Is cold exposure in the shower enough? I would really appreciate help!

@@nandonando4421 Thanks for replying. I actually just finished the book "The Wim Hof Method". And i think i figured out breathing should be for 20 minuttes a day and icebath once a day or as often as possible to see the benifits. I have taking cold showers for 3 months now and adapted well. But it's harder to go further, because I don't have access to be fully immersed in cold or icy water. I have been doing breathing everyday for 3 weeks now. But only 10 minuttes a day. I have gotten benifits from both things, but I feel I have to push it for longer and get colder exposure to help on my Bechterew and Hidrosadenitis.
