Just beautiful!

Connie is another one of the great young lady singers of the late 50's - early 60's. Some of her hits were "Stupid Cupid", "Where The Boys Are", "My Happiness", "Among My Souvenirs", "Lipstick on Your Collar", "Who's Sorry Now", "Frankie" etc. She recorded many of her songs in other languages. And she did the singing voice for some actresses in a few movies.

That is an magical voice.

Concetta Franconero should have been elected to the Rock Hall of Fame 30 years ago. What an injustice that she has been ignored after a brilliant career.

Where the boys are and AI DI La is another great song of hers she never sang a Bad song she was a superstar in the 50 and 60,s

Connie was the first female to have a #1 hit on the Hot Billboard charts with this song. She then was the first female with back to back #1s with her next release. One of the greatest voices of the 20th Century!

It seems like back around 1957, when I first heard Connie's "Who's Sorry Now", if you had the radio on for a while for about the next 3 or 4 years you could be sure of hearing a song by her. She also did a lot of geat covers on her albums of both standarts and rock songs.

Connie was extraordinarily successful between 1957 and 1964, notching some 39 Top 40 hits. Her ballads were particularly brilliant, including the gorgeously melancholy "Where the Boys Are" (written by Neil Sedaka) and her first big hit "Who's Sorry Now." There was always a tinge of sadness to her voice.

Correction-35 TOP 40 1958-1964 WHO'S SORRY NOW? to BE ANYTHING(but be mine). 3000 songs in her discography 15 languages[still a record], 50,000 releases all over the world. Many 1st's too. She still is the top female singer to chart at #1 in 1 year for an astounding 12 weeks for 2 releases in 1958 [66 years ago]. She's the 1st to have a dble sided #1 hit in the UK with STUPID CUPID/CAROLINA MOON. She's also the 1st female to score a #1 in the 1960's in the US ,and with 2 consecutively releases ,also with the same composers. In the UK she's the 1st Female artist to reach #1 on the UK charts for an album in August 1977 20 ALL TIME GREATS 2 weeks #1 and 22 weeks in the charts. I could go on and on.

She had a wonderful voice and sang many great ballads but my personal favourite is a classic late 50s pop song Lipstick on your collar Have a listen

I'd also suggest a fun song of Connie's, like 'Stupid Cupid'. 'Where the boys are' is her biggest song. Brenda Lee and Connie Francis were the most popular female vocalists of the late 50s-early 60s. You might try 'I'm Sorry', Brenda's biggest hit.

Great song! Another artist you should check out if you haven't already is Patsy Cline. Two of her hit songs were: "Crazy" and "I fall to Pieces", Of course she has many more, but those were probably her most popular. Sadly she died in a plane crash at only 30 years old!

I love patsy cline! I should react to some of her lesser known stuff. I didn't know that she passed away so young, oh my gosh!

A TRUE artist !!! A female artist that can actually sing and not sound like every other female singer. Todays females all sound the same because they are all on auto tune and sing through their nose, Not a single female pop singer today is a true singer. Listen to all the female singer of the 50's, 60's and 70's and they are all unique and can really sing.

Great singer, voice, song all good for me. I'm very familiar with her heard all her very good songs back then Who's Sorry Now probably her biggest hit. Should of been more successful than she was with a voice like hers.

She was extremely successful in the USA and world-wide. She could not have been more successful with all of the hits and gold records she achieved, and the sell out concerts at all types of venues. One of the most successful artists of all time.
