Concrete truck transmission jumping out of gear. Rto16909ALL Eaton fuller disassembled for repair
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
In this video I am disassembling a rto16909all transmission for repair. This transmission is difficult to disassemble because of the low gear on the mainshaft. If you follow along with the video and do as I do I’m shure it will help with getting the mainshaft out of this unit without getting it hung inside the case. @etrtruckcenterenginedrivet8918
We hope you like this video and hope it helps. Thank y’all for watching

thanks for the vedio
I've got a RTOCM16909A (IDK what the M stands for. I can't read the tag, this is what Peterbilt says the truck came with). Has the same jump out problem and I'm sure the slider looks the same as this one. It stays in gear only under a load... let off the go pedal and it jumps out. 3rd - 9/10th gear (forward and to the right). Waiting on my mechanic to say he can do it and I'll pull and bring the transmission to him.
Interesting wow good vid sir.

Thanks for the comment Candied I will definitely try to keep it all together without the fast forwarding in future vids. Thanks for the comment and the feedback 👍
These videos are pure gold. Being a fleet tech I do not get the opportunity to dive into much transmission work so seeing the breakdown and rebuild process has been a great learning experience. Do you guys ever rebuild any of the automated Eaton transmissions such as the endurant or the advantage?

@@etrtruckcenterenginedrivet8918 you could try actually answering the questions people ask you instead of writing / pasting generic responses.
Any videos on 18 speed transmissions? The one I drive at work like to pop out of 17th. It also have a vibration that comes and goes but only in 17th and 18th gears.
I dont know much about trucks. But how is he shifting with out pressing the clutch? Just curious if anyone knows. Thanks
How many have you torn down? Looks like thousands!
Explain what the parts are and their function when disassembling
I'd like to see you do a 6+1 Spicer transmission mine kicks out of the 7, 6, 5

Hay
Hey I got a super ten Eaton rtlo with the oil coolant in and out ports plugged up with a some nuts due to the lines breaking and leaking oil everywhere. Is it ok to run the trans with the oil coolant ports plugged or would this cause damage to the small internal pump? Is it even necessary iv seen some trans that don’t have the ports from factory .

I’ve seen them blocked off like that quite often. I would recommend just making a small hose loop to connect the two ports together.
How much input shaft play should one of these have?

There all going to have a little play up and down don’t have an exact measurement for you all I can tell you is the bearing will have play in it which is amplified at the end of the input shaft. It’s probably around 120 thousands

Why is it jumping out of gear
What about gauges being fixed in a 1987 Kenworth
