The whole world was in tears. I’m in tears now, from laughter of what went on the show, and from sadness that he is gone. Also the comment section is not helping, it’s like someone is chopping onions in here.
Watching 4 grown ass men very clumsily wrestle one of the biggest snakes in the world just made my day
Steve was such an informative person. When he said he didn't know the difference between a crocodile or an alligator, he pursed his lips like he really wanted to tell him.

I’ve been binge watching Bindi and Robert. I absolutely love this family so sweet and genuine. Breaks my heart that Steve didn’t get to see how beautiful his children have grown to be such great human beings.

I feel so too. I visited the Australian Zoo in QLD after he was gone so I could show my respect. Quite alot of people were there for the same reason. I hope he knows that the world has a lot more people willing to help the environment and the animals.

He made one fatal mistake annoying a ray, but he died doing what he loved, there's consolation in that, he'll forever be remembered with great affection by us Aussies, CRIKEY MATE
He is probably one of the few animal experts that you barely need to see an animal to be entertained by. He's so entertaining you can pretty much just talked to him and it's a great episode

There has yet to be an animal expert like Steve Irwin. Truly one of a kind. He did it for the animals. He wanted everyone to care about wildlife, but was so humble as well. He was such a big part of my life and made animal planet my favorite channel

Just for anyone wondering: This snake was docile, if not a little nervous. No strikes, no attempts to constrict, it just wanted to keep moving, as most reticulated pythons do.

When they brought the retic in it was in flight mode - it just wanted to get away. When they left it alone for a few seconds it was able to get into thinking mode and it calmed down.

Yep! For those that don't know this was staged! They do like to keep moving but it's not as bad as these guys made it out. Conan did a late night comedy so they wanted to "fun" it up. Notice the snake didn't actually coil anyone nor did it open it's mouth.

I love that as the python story goes on everyone stops laughing and becomes genuinely captivated by the story. I miss this man a lot.
I miss this man. My first hero as a kid. Never known someone so passionate about wildlife and conservation.
Two people that genuinely love their jobs just hanging out🙏

The light in his eyes when he talks about animals grew up with him and no one has been able to match the same energy as him since RIP he is very missed

Nothing about this is sad other than missing steve. You should be joyus that we get to still see him any time we'd like. So many would be so lucky to see a family member any time they liked. This is celebratory

there are people that lived their whole lives in the safety and comfort of their house while this guy could tell you stories about how he literally wrestlers with wild life. this is the kind of person that everybody surrounds just to hear his stories.

Love watching Steve and now his son. Kevin Hart had me in stitches on the Jimmy Fallon show while Jimmy was holding the huge spider.
What a genuine guy, his energy is something else! He forgot to turn his body toward the camera because he’s so excited 😂 I grew up watching him, miss him.

Steve just performed a masterclass in the art of teaching without teaching. It’s always been said that there best learning comes when you don’t know that you’re currently being taught, and Steve’s style perfectly encapsulates that. His energy makes you feel like you’re just listening to a passionate and entertaining man doing what he loves. The lessons slide in under the radar as elements of a story rather than being presented as a list of facts. What an excellent person he was!

Growing up having Steve Irwin it just made sense there was a guy this cool and he had a show and he was badass. Only later after I got old and he died that I realized oh nobody on earth was or will be steve Irwin. There was just something about him.

What an absolute legend, Steve, Conan and the snake. The fact that he was able to just mess around with that absolute beauty of a retic shows how well he knew what he was doing. The chaos and running around was all for show, as soon as he wanted to they just let the snake go. They knew exactly how she'd behave and what to do with her, gorgeous beast

Yeah, considering how Conan was freaking out the second he saw the snake, he wasn't in a good position to tell anyone to settle down. I really don't think he's all that funny. Steve deserved an interview in which his personality and passion for his work, were respected, not mocked or belittled.

Young Conan for me had his bad moments but once he fully matured (like in his borders series’) you could tell how he’s a really good and well-liked guy :)

Steve was always a gem to anyone who had the pleasure of meeting him. I would've loved to have him come to my school for Earth Day and talk about different animals and why they're important in their climates throughout the world.
He was so animated, reminded of Chris Farley 😂😂 RIP to both of them.
