    I have a degree in Classical Greek Language and Literature, and I can confirm Jordan’s pronunciation is correct, he’s just pompous for bringing it up in a conversation where everyone’s speaking in modern English 😂

    As a Greek, I can confirm, Jordan's pronounciation of Socrates is spot on. Plato however is not, in Greek it is Platonas.

You can fast track your way to awareness by learning ancient art, and you don’t have to go far.. go to your creeks and rivers.     I've just met both Conan and Jordan in person today and it's been a couple hours since I got the chance to talk to them and I still can't believe it happened.     I agree, Sona is good for occasional segments but she's just a regular person, not a talent. Her schtick is just rolling her eyes at everything Conan says. Jordan's schtick goes a lot deeper and led to some of the best moments on the show. He shouldn't be over-used but he should get more air time than Sona or Matt.

    Sona is a necessary evil for Conan's comedy to come out. You can tell he is very comfortable with her and she enables a lot of his jokes. Even though I don't think she adds much to the conversation, her laughter is genuine and is a good substitute for a live audience.

    As a Greek fellow, i can confirm that Jordan's pronunciations of Socrates and Aristotle are 100% accurate. In modern Greek, both of these words are pronounced like that as well.

    I am Greek and Jordan’s accent is both accurate and excellent. 👌😉 The pronunciation of Socrates and Aristotle (Aristoteles in greek) is the same in both ancient and modern greek.

    I imagine Jordan is right about most things but it’s Conan’s ability to make a bit out of all of them that is impressive and hilarious. One episode of late night Conan described Jordan as the “Spock to his Kirk” and that cracks me up to this day 😂😂😂

    I mean it's both their ability to make a bit out of it. Just because Jordan usually stays deadpan, and is legitimately actually a big nerd, doesn't mean that he doesn't understand why this is funny or that he's not contributing. The guy has been a comedy producer for 30+ years and hanging around comedy writers the entire time lol he may not be a comedian per se but he understands why they keep putting him on camera. There's a compilation video on youtube of all the times Jordan broke and cracked up laughing while these two are doing their shtick. He knows it's a bit and leans into that.
