    Thanks for the videos, really good videos and Data. Just purchased the tunalyzer myself. I have 2x out of box fantoms that are dogs, they seem to put up good numbers for you, I want to get the fantoms on the tunalyzer. Every surpass motor I have ever purchased has been a beast. I have been just setting the timing to 42 on the can. Cant wait to tune one and try it out.

    I've been running the V6 Rocket for a couple of months now, nice motor, you definitely have to use a pinion up from what others use to get the most out of it. Very reliable, doesn't have the high rpm but lots of torque.

    Seems to me the best motor was the fantom. Doesn't matter how much numbers drop from unloaded vs loaded, what gives the most RPM and KV at the same timing mark and that's going to allow more top speed. If you're offroad or onroad, you may want more torque. But you can also buy a team spec fantom and it will probably be even better yet. BUT if your chassis sucks it won't matter what motor you have.

    All good points! Drivers are finding that they can add few teeth more on the Surpass and HobbyWing motors, over the Fantom. But, like I mentioned, overall, it depends on your driving style and track. The only way to see which motor is fastest, for you, you will have to sample all motors. Yes, if you have a poorly setup chassis and keep crashing, only the slowest motor will help track times.

    Thanks a lot for all your videos!!! Great information!!! So the big question is. Have you found that the load master is worth it and does a better job on finding the best timing for a motor with the load then without? TIA

  • @wutupclegg6618

    @wutupclegg6618

    8 ай бұрын

    If you need the extra edge, in racing, and you're comparing motors, the Load Master is well worth it. It gives you an idea on how much torque a motor has. For example, the Fantom has a lot more RPMs, but due to the torque of the Surpass, you can gear the Surpass with a much lower gear ratio for even higher RPMs at the wheels. Stay Tuned, I will do a complete video on the WMH Racing Gear.

    I just wanna say you are doing a good job BRO!!! Some people can't afford the motor analyzers or time you put in for the consumer....I know from this Video I chose the surpass motor,not because it's the most reasonabley priced but performance it had put out on numbers...Yes the fantom has higher KV but the surpass has a torquier motor and can add more teeth on and match the rpm,but the torque you can't...I would like to see if you can do Tekin motors and maybe MCV as well... I am working on a new machine that will compare motors a lot better. I reached out to some companies, but got the cold shoulder. However, I have been told they are noticing my testing. I purchased all the motors I tested. Actually, this gives a more honest test because I know it has not been tweeked just for testing. After I test the motors, I sell them. Because they are opened, I have to sell them for less money. I lose about $15 - $30 on each motor. However, I enjoy doing it.

    What lipo batteries do you recommend for racing? Is 100c good enough. Someone near me has 2 used but new/ batteries for sale they are motiv 6000 and 6600 with 100c rating. I see some with 130c now days, it that a noticeable difference?

    Motiv is good brand, but I lean away from used batteries. If they are stored wrong, charged wrong, over heated, or used a lot, then a new cheaper battery would perform better. Also 100c is fine , but make sure it is a high volt (HV) battery. You will notice a difference with those.

    Just to be helpful in your testing and I am no way scrutinizing your work as they great videos. The Tunalyzer seems to have a fixed voltage of 7.4volts. The KV from Auto to Manual is not changing. Running Manual mode is just adding heat and unneeded RPM. KV is all you need x voltage (7.4). I guess if you don't like doing math you can run the Manual test. Keep testing those motors.

  • @wutupclegg6618

    @wutupclegg6618

    You are 100% accurate. The reason I run the manual mode, is just to show RPM. Many racers out there, who are new to the hobby, understand RPM but not KV. I also really appreciate your complements on my videos.
