I found this on r/speedrun I didn’t realize people besides me were still doing post-commentary This makes me very happy. You should be posting these to r/speedrun yourself, I will too.

I love doing the post-commentary videos! I used to write up super long descriptions with info and record commentary when I submitted to SDA (as I'm sure you did, too), so this is just kind of taking its place. It's nice to provide some kind of useful information for people who don't know about the games. I'm glad you're still doing it, too! As for Reddit, I think I'll still happily stay away still. Would give me some more traffic, but it's not worth having to deal with Reddit.

@@TheSuperSNES just post then ignore everything else :p
The run is absolutely incredible, but without your commentary I would have little to no idea how you're pulling any of this off. It really adds to the experience.
I love these commentary videos \o/ Thank you :)
"I understand that this is a really obscure, difficult to relate to run" It seems that way on the surface, but after spending an hour hearing you talk about the run and the game, I feel like I can relate to your passion directly.
The amount of times "all enemies in this level kill you in one hit" was said in this commentary is astounding and yet another reason why you never know what poor life choices are until you actually see them on your screen.
2:30-3:25 A riveting game of Tennis, well done!
this is really cool to me, cuz I have been following a many speedruners for a while now. And the thing that always comes to mind when you see crazy glitches used in runs is "man, how do people figure out these things". I was lurking in your chat from the beginning when you started working on this, and it was fascinating watching you slowly unravel exactly what the game was doing and then find ways to apply it practically. Was fun to watch you get to this point, thank you. and the run itself is awesome.
It was wild watching you go through all of this live back in the day. Really cool to find this and rewatch the run again.
Nice i missed your actraiser runs, :D. and your commentary is great always! EDIT: cant wait for the followup video explaining how the glitches work, sounds interesting
This game difficulty is so insane, it actually holds back the game from being actually entretaining
You know he's played Castlevania when he calls blue flaming skulls "medusa heads" heheh :) This is seriously impressive, though...and I didn't know about these other "difficulties" so it's cool to even see that at all.
I remember this game torturing me. I remembered being so triggered because this game made me feel new to platformers. Incredible run PJ.
I want a port of this so badly to either the Switch or 3DS, you make it look so fun with your runs of it and explanations.
This video has 8k views and at least half of them are me. I love these commentaries and come back to them all the time to re-watch. :)
I always enjoy your commentaries, extra awesome that it's Actraiser 2!
I'm digging the vids man, I love your commentary
I love your commentaries so much and this was so interesting to watch. I'm definitely looking forward to those supplements in the future!
Really cool how much the difficulty changes the run's starts. Great run and good luck on sub 1 hour :)
While I'm not speedrunning the game, I have to admit that I love playing this game in this messy difficulty because you have to aproach in a different way to the new messy balances of the enemies, sometimes being a joke and other times an endurance of doing the right stuff at the right time, not to mention taking advantage of some stuff like the invis frames after you deal damage to an enemy to either move away or just cheese them like the Industen plant in the final stage (well, I know Death Heim is the actual final stage but... is just only a boss rush and I don't count it like a stage per-se).
Thats an early Christmas Gift! Thank you!
Been waiting for this one! :D
Thanks for another great video PJ. Hope to catch you playing live on twitch soon, I've been too busy lately.
Ladies and Gentlemen, Welcome to EXTRA HARD LITERALLY WHAT!
It's a shame the sequel got rid of the comfy citybuilding parts, but at the same time these graphics are absolutely gorgeous and mesmerizing.
How would you go about adding this as a category so you can be credited for the possible WR run? I've beaten this on hard mode as a flithy casual, and this is a really impressive run at such a ridiculous difficulty.
Insanely good.
Was awesome to watch 202 get dunked
👏👏👏
hey pj, i love how this game looks. it must be the best looking game on the snes imo. also it is in my favorite genre of games (action platformer) but man, is it hard... i have been trying to get into this game for several years on and off but just can't do it. I know that you had the same experience with this game from your sda run description. any advice on how should i approach this game?
I have had this SNES game for like 15 years and never beat it. I always ragequit after about 30 minutes.
I never noticed Growfy timer score in this run lol

Haha. Working on it! I actually made it and didn't like how it turned out so I deleted it. And haven't rerecorded it yet. Been busy. ^_^

I wouldn't be so harsh on this game if they haven't murdered The Master's speed, he's so slow compared to the first game and they expect you to dodge so many fast-moving enemies and attacks. Wish there was a romhack that fixed this, would've made the game a lot more fun and playable.
