When Old Solider meets Young Solider - kzread.info/dash/bejne/pquMp5eto5WbftI.html. Great video. Pearls of wisdom from a WWII vet over 100 - kzread.info/dash/bejne/ooqTx6ZpncqshM4.html. 96-year-old Army Sniper who revisits his service rifle and hits targets at 1000 - kzread.info/dash/bejne/g6Kuu7euqLenlsY.html. All uplifting videos!🇺🇸 I am not a fan of him burning his uniform AND I hope the act of doing it gets him some help navigating the civilian world. I try not to dump on Vets. Is the lady wrong, it really does not matter, it's about winning in the new system he is in. Work the civilian world, don't fight it. You will get stereotyped and limited.

I mean why wasn't this thrown out of court? There's no video evidence, no weapon evidence, just a woman breaking the law by trespassing and hearsay/ he said she said situation. And even if he did hold a knife, without touching her he was defending himself on his own property, either way legally she was in the wrong and I can't comprehend why they would try to sentence a 12 year veteran with no evidence.

Ephesians‬ ‭6:10‭-‬18 says, Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints. The bible is no old book. You have to really let Christ open your eyes; to see the world in shambles. Many people say it's a religion to lock up people in chains, and say it's a rule book.. why? Because people hate hearing the truth, it hurts their flesh, it's hurts their pride, it's exposes on what things have they done..people love this world so much, s*x, money, power, women, supercars.. things of this world. Still trying to find something that can fill that emptiness in your heart. You can't find that in this world.. only in Christ, the bible is no chains, it's a chainbreaker. Breaking your sins into pieces... Repent now, and turn back to the true Lord only.. God bless.

I found a few news articles and posts where he claims people are discriminating against him because he is a veteran. I absolutely respect his service and his purple heart and if people want to give him money because of that, they absolutely can. But he is constantly using his service as an excuse for anything bad he did or to get money. In this case he committed a crime and maybe he needs to accept responsibility for it. Him saying that it's America's responsibility to take care of him is a load of crap. I too am a combat veteran, so I'm saying this from experience. I served from 2000 - 2006 (B 3/29 FA 4TH ID).This is not Vietnam War, where we were drafted without a say and against our will. He volunteered and chose a combat MOS. Not only that, but he re-enlisted at least twice. He made these choices, not America. It's unfortunate that he has PTSD, and really, it's hard to say if that should have been used in court or not. Also, he's pissed at America, yet burns the uniform that represents the US Army, not the civilians, courts and politicians that he's so upset with. Maybe my experience was different than his, but I can tell you that when your over there, it's not America that you defending, it's your brothers in arms that you are defending. He needs to lose the victim mentality and take care of himself. There are many programs and resources offered by the VA to help him, but he's gotta be willing to help himself if he ever truly wants to make it in the civilian world.

We were set upon by 5 little college punks who didn't stand a chance and ran away at the first sign of aggresive response from us. It happened twice that day and once in a bar that night. I went home and next day parted out my uniform, patches, and ribbons to the kids in the neighborhood. They were happy. I didn't talk about my service for 28 years. Then the flash backs and panic attacks set in. I didn't burn mine, but I completely understand. He is saying that this country isn't worth the sacrifice he endured. I love my country and my Government when it's worth caring about and leadership restrains itself with the Constitution. Currently it's not and may never be again.

This is a great concise answer for sure. But this man shows the signs of feeling like no one listened to him or cared to properly investigate the severe lack of evidence. He's making a stand for all the frustrated vets who follow a very strict code of conduct but get no recognition of that in a trial that will always have a prosecutor like this man and have their PTSD dragged into play. I get this frustration I'm ptsd and have a tremendous amount of trouble getting people to respect my very short and simple list of triggers. They are all related to my long time childhood traumas and abuse. He feels that no one on that jury understood him and or even cared try to understand him. You can tell this man all day you think his service was not ethical or stop and ask a vet to tell them about why they choose to serve. When you try to understand a person they will almost always feel validated because you cared to ask them that without blindly thinking all vets are alike and need to hear your complaints about a war you don't like. Just because you disagree with the war doesnt mean you can't care about your fellow human and treat them with kindness and a desire to help the needs of trauma war causes. This man is of my generation and probably feels that he's being disrespected for choosing to want to serve their country because 9/11 made them want to go out and find the ppl that caused the traumatic chaos of that horrible day. Or maybe they needed to get college money and thought being a service member would look good on a resume. Or they wanted to serve to honor a family tradition of serving they are proud to continue on. Maybe they realized the need for medics to keep men and women alive to return home. Men and women they went to school with. In my graduating class we had only 50 graduates because it was the night school for students who had to work day shifts to support themselves or their family. We had about 10 that choose military service as a way to get trained in interesting fields that we didn't have in nearby colleges. Many loved the small town we were in and their family in it and didn't want to go to a big city college. They felt they'd get trained for a good job and we're hoping to use the military service to make their resume get noticed in a shrinking job market that made us have to compete hard against the massive amount of applicants each single job posting garnered. In other words they felt that the military was a place to elevate their economic status to being above the poverty line, make their family's vets proud and get them more respect than their current crap jobs did. None of us in that graduating class of '02 realized the trauma war might cause we were young and needing better options. Im a pacifist but will never treat any veteran unkindly or allow the idea that ptsd as an excuse to vilify someone who just wanted to be given a fair day in court. We all should want this man to be treated like he's a human being and has a disorder that needs to be healed with love and compassion just the same you'd give a cancer patient or a diabetic. PTSD is a curse for me. It is triggered regularly by people I've told my triggers to. And it's a small list, no shouting at me, don't makee big with hand gestures right in my face or right near me. Lastly always ask for permission before touching in me in any way. Seems simple but I triggered a lot because they refuse to understand the danger it causes me to be in as my adrenaline pumps into my blood stream causing me to feel like running away to keep from fighting or fight to end the struggle of feeling misunderstood and insignificant. My ptsd is caused by some very painful things that I just want to be over with but the ptsd makes me feel hyper vigilant and unable to relax because I feel I need to prevent future trauma. Hitter vigilance is an insanely over alert and for some a paranoid state that feels unrelenting to the point of the severe levels of suicide from the veterans of the war in middle east caused by 9/11. You need to be concerned about a prosecutor vilifying a vet for his ptsd. That creates an opening for other illnesses and disorders to become vilified and used to make a jury feel scared of the defendant. This could happen to you too. I know it hurt him to burn his uniform, that had to feel like those long years of service were a waste of time. A traumatic waste of youthful years he'll never get back. Betrayal makes a person feel worthless in the eyes of whomever betrayed them. So he burned his uniform he once felt pride in wearing. As a pacifist person that seeks to spread peace and love I challenge everyone to respect this man's struggle and the struggle many, so so so many of this war's veterans suffer. This struggle has created a tidal wave of suicide that makes me grieve for my generation losing so many we all love to the tragedy of suicide. I may disagree with violence but don't agree I should judge any soldier because it creates this idea of aggressively needing my viewpoint to be the only possible correct one. I want every soldier to be given the respect of having had to do things that you don't understand as a person that didn't serve. Loving peace comes with the price of not getting offended by someone who has served in a war. It means giving love and understanding to all walks of life. That's how you spread peace instead of just talking empty words of it. I'm trying to learn how to help these soldiers not feel so traumatized they kill themselves. Pacifism me means I have love, kindness and compassion for anyone hurting needing a break from being judged unworthy and inhuman. Pacifism to me means not judging someone as I don't think it gives nonviolent based solutions a good reputation based on the fact that my judging someone can cause them to feel like they need to do a violent or aggressive act on themselves or others. If they kill themselves or someone else from biased judgment that defeats bring a peace based nonviolent pacifist. And finally all of us need to remember freedom to life, liberty and the pursuit is a great thing we Americans are promised but often denied by systematic biased judgements too many face in their daily life. I know that if we all just cared for each other and went by the golden rule for we can stop the need for violent action. But I'm not naive. I know there are very evil people in other countries that seek to unleash devastatingly traumatic violence on the U.S. we don't still need it because we do have other countries out there that seek to harm us and do it using devastating violence we must be vigilant to defend against. I wish it wasn't the case. I have no idea how we get this dealt with other than violent actions. I don't think we can say pacifists are running despotic countries. So please stop helping soldiers feel like they are unworthy of love, kindness, compassion and remembrance. You're acting violently towards their mind, heats and souls. You contributing to the tragedy of their suicides that are traumatizing their families, fellow vets, friends, community and the most vulnerable, their children. Please think before you judge whether you want to be judged in the same harsh light you're casting.Give peace a chance means stop thinking your opinion must be the only possible right one. It means defend the innocent like people in terrible despotic regions. Like the kids that may be left with PTSD as well because they lost a parent to suicide because someone couldn't put down their egotism. So go on give peace a chance. But realize that we still have a need for soldiers while the creatives/thinkers/inventors/scientists back home to understand how we can make new advances that bring viable nonviolent solutions to dealing with the type of people that use tyranny and love to cause others harm. I hope this guy is feeling better and never feels like he's so judged he can't take it. He needs to able to live his live, with liberty and healthy enough to pursue happiness. ☮️🎖️. Give each other a chance.

The prisons are filled with veterans who didn’t get help, because there is no effective help. Veterans daily kill themselves in the VA lobbies waiting for care, have to wait years to get what is owed because somebody in a suit says they shouldn’t have it. Bottom line, the system we have for care is corrupt and ineffective. The DoD and VA has failed all of it’s veterans.
