Love you guys. Going to get this for my Filipino step dad as a surprise, he has a hell of a lot of Filipino and Chinese martial arts tools but I never noticed such a pretty looking machete. 70 is for two, not bad at all!

I have one I brought home from the Philippines. Love it. The blade was hammered out of a leaf spring. I will be getting one of these as well.

I have a few different CS machetes and others from different company's, and for me this barong is the best for training and practising for a combat situation. This along with a shield is awesome

I have the older shorter Cold Steel barong machete. It's been my trusty go to yard blade. I just hacked my nemesis rose bush to death and severed all the roots with it. Hated that damn bush.

Highly recommended getting one. I keep it next to my bed. This thing is no joke. It would be scary if I ever had to use it on someone in self-defense.

It is a pretty goo blade, but it is a little top or forward heavy and hard to flow well. Instead of doing smooth FMA movements you tend to be better at just chopping motions with it. If it was lighter it would have been better.

I know what you're thinkin', is he packing a Vaquero or a Trailmaster? To tell you the truth I forgot myself in all this excitement. But seeing as how this is a Filipino Barong, and could cut your head clean off. You've got to ask yourself one question...

There is a problem with the design probably it was not measured with the hand of the person ho use it thats why it did not cut thru.

Would be more impressive if a little old lady used it and got the same results. The more effort it takes to use a weapon, the more ineffectual that weapon is for practical use.
