Thank you for the review brother sorry you got cut. By the way my father was trained in the Philippines and was in World War II and was trained by my grandfather. They both extremely good escrimadors. My father always said when you train with a knife you expect to get cut. Comes with the territory. Good job on your repair!

Great Review As Always. Sad to hear that You Cut Yourself. It's Important that people know that people who are skilled can get cut to. There is a saying in Kali "Everybody Donates Blood". So when they see people swinging these knives & Swords that they need to be careful because they don't want to cut an Arm or a Leg using these tools & weapons. I cringe when I see people using weapons like The Cossack Shasqua, these Artists are using Dull practise swords but knowing full well that there are people who will try these dances with live blades ! Crazy.

Interesting review in the CS Barong machete. Sorry to hear of your injury. That was a smart move to use Super Glue to create a defacto "Stiching" like effect. Based upon my personal testing,I think the CS Barong is one of the best machete designs out there. The only other designs offering comparative effect and abilities would be the CS Smatchet,Gladius and Tactical Katana. Which is the ability to do Thrusting strikes like a spear along with bladed cuts. Maybe you can do a Test comparing the CS Barong to the,Smatchet, Gladius and Tactical Katana. I tested the CS Barong, against several CS models; Kukri,Bolo,Double,Panga. I found that the Barong was over all the best most effective projecting bladed instrument. Should a,Deer run into your car a Kukri machete will not put a,Deer out of it's misery, a Barong, Gladius, Smatchet or Tactical Katana machete will as you can Thrust into the incapacitated animal like a,spear or easly employ the bladed edge and put it out of it's misery. Keep up the good work! Be safe.

It's not actually one that I'm interested in. I think the blade balance it s little unwieldy. The original smatchet was a lot heavier and this one just didn't feel right to me.
