Make an arming sword machete. Please.. Broad yet tapered instead of spatulated at the tip. One where the handle isn't so round, for better edge alignment.

I have absolutely no use for one of these but damn do I want one!

Thai sword is one hand sword...

Can the handle be safely cut down to that of a longsword's? Would be nice to have the versatility of being able to comfortably go between one or two-handed usage.

Owned 3 of these, all broke at the blade handle junction. This is astounding for a Cold Steel blade.

You mean the handle broke off, or literally the blade - the metal - broke? Because that's a huge difference.

@@magni319 I think they mean the handle. I had one and even with athletic tape the handle snapped after heavy use. The blade can dent though. But that's if you're cutting real shit like thick trees or if it scrapes on any metal. But just to have it laying around/being a fruit ninja and to swoosh it around a few times... it's ok to have.

It looks more like a weapon than a farm tool. The long handle seems to be the main difference since it gives more leverage to power through a cut. Kinda like a Nodachi sword (has long handle). Nodachi sword vids always show world record cutting power.

Most (if not all) machetes from Cold Steel are full tang. This Thai Machete is full tang for a fact.

Love all the things I've bought but can't justify the price of an arming sword. The designs I really want are made by the dubious outsourcing of other companies that are in the budget. Still don't want to spend 200 even. If you make it, you'll have the sales to justify it for years to come I believe. Many people are in the market looking for such a thing like myself. With big dollars spend on two handed swords, I'm looking for an alternative to one handed.

It's a thai style sword. Look up Thai sword fighting. You might like it.

Much better than a katana, or most single edged blades.

Thai sword use one hand emphasize agility and slash to dead spot or cut tendon for torture and lost to fight. I am Thai.

You should learn to use this sword because thai sword isn’t katana
