Clothes for my Christmas Teddy Bear. Whittling and painting by the bonfire

While I was whittling a few teddy bears, snow fell, and winter arrived… The water, paints and my hands are freezing. All this wood carving I do outdoor by the river, and by the bonfire.
To make a Christmas ornament, I carved a hat, scarf, and winter shoes for Teddy. Now I have a gift for the winter holidays to decorate the Christmas tree.
This time, for my small wooden sculptures I used only my knife, freezing acrylic paint and a willow branch. Height - 60mm, width - 25mm, or 65-30. The hat is 25-30mm. Shoes are 10-15mm.
Good carving to you
I am not a professional woodcarver and, especially, not a master or a teacher. However, I enjoy carving small wooden sculptures. Here, you will find my little simple projects, and I hope they help you relax. You can discover more of my wood carving patterns on my channel and check the Community tab: / @smallwoodensculpture

About my knife:
For wood carving, I used my regular whittling knife which I made myself; the blade length is 40 mm, and the overall length of the knife is 130 mm.
For beginners:
Using a short piece of branch can be dangerous for beginners. So, I recommend trying to use a long and comfortable piece, and trim it at the end.

Your high assessment of my work very pleased me. Sometimes I want to make a new knife without previous mistakes, but now all my free time is spent carving.

Like you're using water colors....lot less hassle, and dries quicker for sure. Looks just as good as acrylic paint.

I truly like watercolour. They are inexpensive, sometimes for wood need more paint, and I often use them as a base before applying acrylic paint. But in this video, i used acrylic paints more. Watercolour freezes faster.
