"I shot her in the shoulder, she's fine!" Hot damn I missed this show
Wow. Had no idea Mark was back. But I see he never really went away, it's just that the channel went in very different directions. I had to scroll back quite a bit to see where I bailed. Six years ago. That's when he went to Amazon and turned off the comments.
ENGAGE DISCO! This games kicks so much CHECKPOINT!
I absolutely loved this as a 12 year old kid when it first came out and in the years afterwards when it dropped to mere 10p a go in the UK arcades. It really opened my eyes to the infinite possibilities of video games.
Timeless game. Just as awesome as it was in the 80's. Sunk many quarters in this one at my local bowling alley - it was right next to After Burner. Great times!
Back when arcade games were so fun, the machines were something we never see before and it made them so special
This was one of my all time favorite arcade games. Seemed super realistic as a kid.
Awesome job as always Mr. Bussler 😎
A pizza parlor that my brother and I went to as a kid had an Operation Wolf machine. Man memories
It still feels surreal that you are back, doing new game videos! It makes me so happy! I spent so many hours in the 2010s watching your videos. Thrilled that you are back.
Hell yeah! I played this all the time at Galaxy Arcade in Roseville, Michigan. This and Spy Hunter 2 were my jam!
Ageless Mark ... literally you look the same as you did 10 yrs ago! Love The Return of CGR
For as long as I love, the words "You have sustained a lethal injury, sorry but you are finished here" will stay with me forever! Also... I love that arcade. Hopefully you'll have an opportunity to review arcade OutRun too.
The intro of that game is amazing.
I can't believe that these videos aren't getting any views? This is one of the best gaming channels out there. I admit that the algorithm never shows them to me.

IMO, CGR has been the best gaming show on KZread since the beginning. In fact Mark technically was the beginning. Metal Jesus Rocks is great, too.

He kinda shifted gears years ago to comics, publishing and music and his views and algo push went with it. Guess he was tired of games for a while.

@@deckofcards87 correction. Apparently he was losing money to youtube claiming copyrights on his music. Understandable
Funny you reviewed this. There’s an all-new installment for this series now.

@@LurkingCrassZero You’re welcome. I recommend playing it on PS4, PS5, or Steam. Not sure about Xbox One or Xbox Series S/X. Stay away from the Switch port, however. Oh, and you can also play it through VR.

Last time I played this was at the Space Center arcade at Parkway Center Mall. Got my hopes up when I saw the video that someone had one available for public play near Pittsburgh but this looks like someones home.
This was my favorite game playing it in Aladdin’s castle back on the day. I have one in my home arcade. Just looking at the artwork makes me happy 😎
I’ve waited my entire life for this review. Hills is the bomb too, free popcorn and cherry 7up
One of my all time favorite games! Great review
All Hail Lord Karnage!
Mark this is amazing! Really spacial. Please make some more!
Hear that, Mark? That's the fun police, you're having too much of it. 🚔👮
I also played this at Hills but I was a kid and my dad would have to lift me up to play it.
One of my most favourite arcade games! I first played the NES port at a n old buddy's house of mine, circa fifth grade, later played the MS-DOS port, then the IRL arcade version. It's a literal blast, even if challenging. The Japanese FM Towns port seems to be near-arcade perfect, plus a weirdly ominous soindtrack that fits weirdly well. That machine might be worth some coverage, if you can get your hands on it.
Taito released the arcade version (modified with a cursor) in the Egret Mini II's Vol. 2 expansion pack. If you have the Cyber Stick which works with the unit, you can have a joystick version of the game that sort of has a trigger (it's not exactly a trigger). Yes, the original arcade is the best way to play the game, but the Egret Mini II is the closest you'll get to the arcade version without the full-sized machine (for now).
Bring back this classic game room i miss it
This was my favourite game back when I had it on the ZX Spectrum. It was one of about 5 games I'd ever played back then. Along with Yei Arr Kung Fu on my mate's C64 and Granny's Garden on our School BBC Model B.

You could get a lightgun for the 8 bit computers to play this game. I had it on the Amstrad.
Dude! You’re talking about games again! I know I’m late on this but I’m excited to see it. 🎉
Using the light gun as a DPAD is the ultimate in cleverness.
Hello Mark. I'm rediscovering your channel. I use to watch your reviews in 2009 to 2012 I guess. Very first decent reviews from youtube. Cheers!
CGR reviews are fun, and that’s what no one else seems to get!
what a time to be alive, where cgr actually came back

I was just thinking about when Mark used to do reviews on Atari 2600 games and lo and behold this pops up! May this be a solid, sustained comeback!
Love how raw the shooting sounds.
There was a period of about ten years, when, if I ever happened across an Operation Wolf cabinet at an arcade, I'd put money in. It's always surprised me that more retro gaming you tubers don't rave about it, but I guess you can only really experience it properly on a genuine cabinet.
Dude, I want a Karate Champ so bad. Michael is a good dude.
Avoiding collateral damage in a hostage rescue type operation, using an Uzi is near impossible. Here is hoping that the Nurses that survive are hot and grateful. Definitely grateful. Thanks for the video Mark.
I played it on the CPC 😎 ...For a few minutes.
Operation Wolf, it's not about how many hostages you save or how many baddies you put bullets into, but how beers you had along the way. Don't drink and drive.
“Nobody likes you!” “Die!” Oh Mark you were missed
Nothing but shooting, also the gun is the stuff of legends! Great review!
Great game. Loved playing this and Mechanized Attack.
Oh man, I've been wanting to play Operation Wolf again for a while now. Haven't played it in on an original cab in 35 years, but that gun on it is really special. Just not the same in emulation.
One of the badder asser games of yesteryear... Love this show.
I loved this game and the sequel Operation Thunderbolt was great with 2 guns

I hope I'm not the only one who occasionally put in enough quarters to fire both guns at the same time.
Operation Wolf rocks! And so do you Mark. I love Classic Game Room!
This looks like a really fun day!
I agree it's one of the best cabs and games ever. First played Op Wolf at a bowling alley. Throughout the years at that alley there were usually 3 or 4 other arcade game cabs there at the same time. Some of the other games i enjoyed there at different times were Chase HQ 2 S.C.I, Pitfighter, Rad Racer, Powerdrift, Tron, and a Play Choice 10 with one of the Super Mario Bros games among others. Good times.
Can't believe it's taken youtube 2 weeks to recommend this to me. Hope we see more in the future.
SHARED TO REDDIT! Cheers Mark!
❤❤❤ love cgr game reviews
I need this game in my checkpoint veins.
More the arcade cab reviews please.
I see CGR? I click, comment, like.
"I shot her in the shoulder - she's fine." -Mark E. Bussler, Esquire
My older Brother, who use to be my role model, use to friggin love this game! He was good at it. It was the 80's and he was an MP in the Air Force! He knew a thing or 2 about guns. He later became Ranger certified, a real life commando. I have this on many compilations but I agree, you have to play it with the Uzi gun arcade cabinet! Much more fun. Space Gun was my favorite ,use to skip college classes amd hit the arcade to play it…. Lol the arcade cabinets just cant be replaced with light gun shooters, so much better than home conversations
nice one. always used to be one of my favorites in the Arcade and on the Amiga.
Back in the day I would see this game in the arcade at the movie theater 😊❤
Please review the Airwolf arcade machine if you ever find it! Also Ames>Hills
This and Outrun were back in time the most popular in my local arcades by far. I remember I had to step on a wooden box, on top of the stand base, to be able to reach to the gun.
Indeed I remember this game originally from the Master System before I found out that it had been an arcade game! 😯😀🤘
Yes! This is an animal arcade machine - one of the best ever.
That's one sweet Uzi!
Best review ever.
I remember playing this machine in the lobby of a motel some time in the early 00’s. 😅 Truly life changing 😌
Mark, we don't want 2085, we want fun reviews in the CGR format
Not quite Mark and Dave from the old days but Mark and Mike is just as good.
13 days have passed since the last video game upload, clearly tell us that Mark doesn't like doing games anymore - fully focused on Music.

Honestly with the way games are these days I can't blame him.
Operation Wolf is awesome! Amazing that the one you are playing still works as there is a custom chip on the pcb that dies and there are no replacement’s available. They are pretty cheap to pick up due to this, but you usually have to harvest a chip from a donor board
The intro and losing animation gave me nightmates until I was about 13.
More videos like this! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Holy Checkpoint. This was the game we played at my parents bowling alley on league night 😀 This game was my teens 😅
Operation Wolf? Automatic thumbs up!
This and Shinobi are what you will only ever need!
great game great review
Used to play this at The Happy Fisherman in the Lake of the Ozarks.
I am aware that this game has a secret feature. Not sure if it requires ROM swaps, dip switch settings or just a mode change. But if you find one in Japanese mode, it has a Mega Man-isk feature. You get to choose your own levels. This can affect the game greatly when you get to choose when you get ammo, health and such. Plus, it adds a type of difficulty to what you choose to do. In American mode, your path is pre-set... and _probably_ makes the game easier. As for the last time I ever saw one of these, it was in a bowling alley with a dedicated arcade room, mostly full of imports from the orients. About 12-15 years ago.

And while I am thinking about it... there were a few home ports, back in the day. One of which was to the NES and its light gun. BTW: The Light Gun emulates a single shot pistol _and not_ a machine gun. You _will_ pull the trigger a million times. And your hand will hurt like you just escaped a war. Worse yet, there was a directly NES to Wii port. And they never altered the Wii's point and click interface to just gun everything down. So go play the arcade and not either of these home ports.
OP Wolf, good old wholesome family fun 😎👍
Nothing but the best from CGR!
Actually really like this style of video.
Ass kicking game. Though I never came close to completing it. I can't recall the last time I got to play the actual arcade cab. Can't be replicated. I remember Hills. I bought my ColecoVision from one.
Never played it on arcade but Commodore 64 version plus my The House of the Dead 2 arcade skills make me wanna to seek & play this badass arcade!!!
Now I want a real Operation Wolf cab in my house.
we still out here GG Mark.
Good idea not doing a closeup with the flashing. Glad remake has fixed that and motion controls. Shame ps4 does not upgrade physically as ps5 has VR. Welcome back btw
he came back? holy crap this channle desurves a documentory
Game looks awesome
"YOU HAVE SUSTAINED A LETHAL INJURY. SORRY, BUT YOU ARE FINISHED...HERE."
Roll music 🎵🎵🎵 "OPERATION WOLF!" ... Your mission is to tell people about the Taito edition Hyper Mega Tech Super Pocket which also features Operation Wolf as one of the built-in games. Make sure they know it's made by the same guys that make Evercade. 😉
The sequel Operation Thunderbolt was also a decent game
Not to dump on the sick uzi with vibration but Silent Scope gun with scope is so sick.
haven't seen one of those cabinets in a loooog time.
I have played this game before I have only been aware of ports of this game since last Year
Nice
this is one of the funniest ones yet. I just laughed my ass off.
YES! With the clacky gun-con! ATARI o CLOCK!
Ace please do T2 the arcade game next? Now get to the choppa! XD
