No other racing game hypes me up more than this guy does, I love that energy. Whether I hear him shout the title, or 3! 2! 1! GO, GO, GOOOO!!!

At 1:16 - *that* is how you do a loading screen. Something about a racing crew yelling out checks while a turbine slowly spins up always had me on the edge of my seat as a kid. Then following it immediately by the countdown at 1:08, just... wow. Haven't found anything else quite like it in other games since.

This pre-race hyped up check is just so good. It really geta you going be it on dreamcast, N64 or on the arcade cabinet.

Playing this game in the Arcade Cabinets in CiCi's Pizza as a kid lives in my head rent free. I loved playing this every time we went if we had change.

It was at my sisters skating rink. I played every week day after school for years. I got to the point where I’d win almost every time and get free games. Miss those days

Brian Silva, Michael Guinn, David Leytze and Kenneth Ibrahim, these were voices of my childhood, but for a different reason, they voiced arcade racing games.

I believe this guy reprised his role as the announcer for H2Overdrive. He sounds literally the same. And the game is a spiritual successor to Hydro Thunder. And it's actually pretty good from what I remember.

Thank you so much...making a Hydro Thunder themed watercoaster in Planet Coaster and this adds so much!

Those voice clips don't exist in the arcade version(the tracks as well,aren't in the arcade version,in a playable capacity).

Neat! Is all of this in the HT.R2 file? I could never figure out the format of that file to extract individual files out like this, nice job!

They're inside the various .CSH files. There are a few sounds in the R2, but all i know in there is a few boat engine sounds. It's just PCM data, so you can raw import it into Audacity with a sample rate of 32512 hz, little endian, 1 channel mono, and signed(i may be misremembering here, could be unsigned) 8 bit PCM to hear it all. I exported each clip manually after importing them like this. Though, the clips here were done with a guessed sample rate that ended up slightly off from what it should be, back before i knew how to find the exact rate inside the files, so that warrants an update to the archive at some point.

Best time for AC was 1:51.68 with the Chumdinger
