I love how Mark actually understands games. This game is awesome! Especially for people who have fond memories of light gun games in the arcade, just awesome!

Oh, this game I didn't knew. *scrolls down* *bickering about graphics* My god, I miss the old times of gaming when graphics were just a bonus to excelent gameplay, not the priority. Regardless, this is why I love CGR: Mark reviews games I've otherwise never heard of. I'm going to get it, it looks like fun and I love on-rail shooters.

Boy does this game bring back memories! I don't remember how old I was, but I used to be obsessed with dinosaurs when I was a kid. I was into it all, Jurassic Park, Walking With Dinosaurs, The Land Before Time, Jurassic Fight Club, even those hilariously bad/cheesy prehistoric sea monster movies made by The Asylum and Roger Corman (Mega Shark, Sharktopus etc), you name it, anything related to dinosaurs or prehistoric sea monsters, I just ate it all up! (Though surprisingly not Godzilla nor Power Rangers, for some odd reason. XD) Anyway, I was also quite the gamer at the time as well, and I just went crazy whenever I played Dinosaur Hunting video games! Though I've only played a very small few of them, as Dinosaur Hunting games seemed to be a rarity or obscure thing at the time (or maybe it's just me, I haven't seen a whole lot of them), especially when it came to arcades... I believe the first Dinosaur Hunting game I've ever played, was Primeval Hunt by SEGA! It was one of those arcade light-gun shooters from back in 2008, and I played it at a movie theater at the time. You know those little arcade rooms inside movie theater buildings? I don't know if they still have them or not, but playing arcade games right before or after watching a movie on the big screen felt like the greatest thing ever! I've seen/played Primeval Hunt in at least 2 movie theaters, though it didn't seem to be a very common arcade game. But every time I played it, I never wanted to leave the theater! XD The 2nd Dinosaur Hunting game I've played was at Dave & Busters, and it was "The Lost World: Jurassic Park ARCADE!" Despite being an older arcade game than Primeval Hunt, this is the one that made me almost soil myself! (Coincidentally it was also made by SEGA) My dad and I hopped inside the booth (yeah it was like an arcade booth, similar to photo booths or something) and played the heck out of it! It was at that moment that I realized I NEEDED my very own Dinosaur Hunting game to play at home on my own TV whenever I want, without having to waste dozens of quarters just to keep playing it!... And that's where this game comes in! The only game console I had at the time was a Nintendo Wii, which luckily was perfect for light-gun styled shooting games at the time, and I knew there just had to be a Dinosaur Hunting game made for the Wii somewhere. I searched on eBay, and this game was the 1st result I got, and I just went for it! The game arrived within a week or two, and my excitement levels were through the roof!... Until I realized I didn't have a Wii Gun adapter/attachment. But thankfully I actually managed to find one at Dollarama (a Canadian dollar store chain) for only a few bucks, I popped the Wii remote inside it, and got myself ready for a wild ride! I've gotta say, my experience playing this game was an absolute BLAST! Though comparing it to top-tier arcade shooters such as Primeval Hunt or Jurassic Park Arcade isn't exactly a fair comparison, but just the fact that I finally owned an arcade style Dinosaur Hunting game on my Wii, and a dang fun one at that, was enough to satisfy my needs! This game held a special place in my childhood, and it never left my dusty old video game shelf ever since.

@JunierMahri246 I played a few but never more then a few weeks. I find most of the simpler iphone games are closer to what I used to play on NES and SNES, lol. And my fav game is still Tactics Ogre, so that explains a lot.

@solo20xx Yup, back in those times blood or hints of gore were mostly limited. Note that I did not say "there was no blood whatsoever." I said, back in the days, my days [early 90s]. It's used as a matter of observation, not as a matter of fact. It was lame to see great games such as final fight and street fighter 2, USA versions, to be completely lack of the original flares [such as a tranny in bikini in FF]. I appreciate that you being much more polite this time around.

This game looks like a fun challenge, something that needs to be pushed in today's games.

they should really make a game in the style of the arcade jurassic park. the new one where the dinos have circles and shit telling you where to shoot.itd be really awesome on wii

@antonb000 you remembered wrong. During MY time there was no blood on a NES and SNES system. Later it changed. At one point, it was hard to find NES/SNES games with sparkles of blood.

This game objectifies dinosaurs, legitimises violence against dinosaurs and condones testosterone fuelled destruction. If it wasn't for the male dominated society, depicting dinosaurs as violent would never exist

@PersonaBrazil Yeah, your right there, my back does hurt a lot when i play my PC but i mostly spend time on my 360 cuz i can sit in a couch and no hard chair. But that usualy happends with PC's, and usualy people with the money have better PC's than me so, pretty much explains it self, the rich people have PC's that can fly.

@PersonaBrazil Sorry to tell you but i am not sure about video cards and how to do one, what i would do is look around and see what you can find for a computer store, the best one around me is microcenter, that is where i bought my gaming computer, but they help you with ANY problems with PC, X-Box 360, Playstation 3 etc. so if you have a store like that i suggest go to it and ask the computer store any quetsions.

i will never intend on getting this game or any wii game ever but i do intent on watching mark all the time on games i want to buy have or even dont want to buy

now sega needs to make the jurrassic park games in the arcades (the lost world, and jurrassic park 3) and make it a wii game. the wii can handle the relatively old graphics and put it in... alll that would bring back my childhood

@PersonaBrazil Yes the PS2 does the trick! I find my self still playing it time to time, even sense i got a few gameing things like a 360, hardcore computer etc. But i wish they would still keep making PS2 games, but i think they stoped, but hey on the bright side they still sell old PS2 games!

@PersonaBrazil yea but thats how it was designed when they started development on the wii they were going to make it HD but at that time it would of ment every wii would have cost $100s more so they limited the geographical abiltly of it so it would be cheaper for us. therefor theres nothing wrong with the hardware as it was designed that way for our benefit

Want to truly dual weild? Make it two player, use two wii motes, and there, you just dual weilded.

they should port Jurassic Park Lost World arcade game into Wii or Ps3 (with the Move) (maybe the ps3 version with updated graphics, and it would be awesome)

On rails shooter, it's what the Wii does best. You don't need super visuals you just need a light guy, a target and a shit load of ammo.

It's less a problem with graphics and more a problem that people don't understand the difference between graphics and aesthetics. Just because a game has the capability for lots of detail doesn't mean the game is gonna look amazing. Golden Axe Beast Rider is a good example of this. Though yeah, games today are judged too hard on how good they look.

@callofpownd I know man, only said it for fun because my PC does not support great graphics and such, but to play 2D games 's good ... with low quality, of course. O.O

this game would benefit from better textures and lighting like bloom effects, i know graphics isn't what makes a game fun and all, but you gotta admit that it does matter.

@cptroger Yah, well at least nintendo of USA. Nintendo of Japan had no issue with blood or realistic violence. While the USA nintendo was freaking out with a slight orange hue of haze. Glad they've changed their way.
