One thing is when you don’t want to be a superhero because you will have to sacrifice your personal life. The another one is not to spy at least the local villain. Clark could have ask Oliver to buy special cameras and set them up in Lex’s house, that is, he would know _always_ break his plans, not sometimes. But he didn’t do it. That’s why Lana decided to keep her spying on Lex in secret. And at the same time she tried unobtrusively to persuade Clark to accept his destiny (their talk at the end of ‘Action’).

OTP for Smallville is Clana The last 2 years don’t change that. The writing for Lois made no sense and making her finally Chloe2.0 didn’t work either at the end.

Yeah because lying and keeping secrets from one another totally makes them a true couple! At least Clark was happy with Lois and had kids with her at the end. 😆😆😆

@Deep Cut Reactions no it wasnt lol, Lois has NO involvement in smallville, whether that be in comics or any other iteration, it was literally just to fit in a character and cram her into Smallville for viewership reasons. they also stated this in a couple of interviews. TLDR they blueballed everyone with awful writing and lana shouldve been the one to end up with clark

These two have the worst- the WORST- communication. They keep information from one another at every turn. I don’t know why Lana’s character assassination needed to take place for the story to work, but, just from this clip, these two were doomed.
