Courtney Coleman yes they have brainwashed themselves. The whole thing with Janelle though always puzzled me. Her mama and her were not polygamists yet Janelle who married Meri’s brother then divorces him, and then marries Kody. And her mother was alarmed allegedly about her doing this meets Kody’s family and becomes his dad’s 2nd wife after his poor wife had been his only wife for 30 years. She looked devastated. I always wondered if after his father died, they inherited. He had a pretty big farm. Janelle I don’t think as naive as we think. Her mother seems mercenary like in getting what she wants. And I bet she looks after Janelle and the grandkids. How weird is it for you grandmother the mama of your mama, to be married to your father’s father who has 3 other wives. The whole thing is massively dysfunctional. I feel the worst for the girl that has the back and spine issues that Kody forbid to have back surgery and made that child suffer in grinding pain because he does not think her health and horrible pain is important. I hated watching her cry as I have chronic pain. To do that to your own child and state religious reasons Is such a crock. He wants that money for himself. God forbid he should take care of his child. Poor Trudy too. She nearly died. That was awful. Glad to see her rebel. I just wish at least 2 of the wives would leave and show how happy they are so maybe the other ones would see they could too. I think Janelle could make it on her own. TLC is stupid because EVERYONE would cheer on the wives with their own show if they left Kody. They would have a ratings like they never saw. I would love to see them with a show but not him and the power balance being flipped. Lol. The kids probably would be upset though as he guilt tripped everyone.

He literally offers them and the children nothing but confusion, misdirection and an awful set of relationship standards to look up to. he's a complete knob jockey

They are honestly better off without kody and all four moms should stick together. I will still watch the show and watch four women raising their family rather watching one man manipulate 4 women. My dad has 7 wives...currently 6, 1 mom passed on 2yrs back from cancer. But he maintains homes in different countries, only one mom is kenyan, the others are all Ugandans. So its kenya and Malawi...Easter holidays as a must we are all in Nairobi, Xmas holidays, all are in Uganda. Within Uganda, 4 moms live less than 45mins drive from each other. One of my moms gives way better advice to me than my biological mom, another is like my confidant and one of my siblings is my Best friend and dearest brother. My father is currently dating someone new...she might be our newest mom soon. All ladies have careers, my biological mom is a teacher, others are: Tour company CEO, an engineer (she can repair anything from medical equipment to just wiring our homes, dresses in pants, smokes lol, very tomboyish), 2 bankers, one is a housewife with a farm produce business and the one who passed on worked for a charity organizations (relocating south Sudanese children into Uganda, Tanzania and kenya). I am in a polygamous r/ship too, mostly out of selfish reasons, I want to fully experience my life, Have time for a career and family, I don't believe I can run a full household, a husband, kids plus a career... Am a caregiver

Just because they have a different religion and a different way of living, doesn’t mean they’re “stooping”. They simply have a different belief system than you and every other stinkin negative, critical and judgmental one of you. Whatever happened to being kind and accepting of the things that make each of us different and unique. I wonder how many of you could hold up to the kind of scrutiny for the way you choose to live your lives if you were under a microscope like the Browns. Food for thought - every marriage is work. Honestly I can see the appeal of plural marriages, but not in this sense where it’s multiple families. I think when all parties love each other (including sleeping together) is when it can work as it can be even between all parties. Honestly, I think Janelle is in it for the free and convenient child care.

Christine was newest wife for so long I think she low key expected to be the last. Then she felt jealousy of a new wife. Janelle/Meri had to work through it while living together. Living in separate houses allowed Christine to NOT have to work through those feelings.

She has the right to not want to live with everyone. They need to understand that. Cody is just gross and selfish.

After being with a narcissistic manipulator like kody, Christine feels the independence and realizes she can continue to live like a divorced family where kody sees the kids once in a while. But she gets the benefits. She would be a lot happier being single. I think that’s what she needs and later she’ll find someone if she wants.

First off Jennel has always been my favorite but Christine is her own person and she shouldn't have to live in one house with everyone. I completely understand what she is saying parenting underneath one roof by yourself is the correct way. The help from her sister wives is great but she just doesn't want to lose what she has. I sympathize with wanting to be the “master of my own domain,” but isn’t that in direct conflict with the concept of living as a sister wife?

I respect the way the wives are talking through everything. They have a form of communication that I can learn from.

I rarely watch this show but when I happen to come across it they are always having meetings about houses LOL. That's all this show is about. Sooo didn't they want this polygamous lifestyle. So why then compalin about not wanting to live all together. If u want ur own house and be by yourself then don't marry a man with lots is wives.

if anybody needs to leave it should be Kody. He is not a real man--he doesnt work, puts these women thru emotional distress, and doesnt care about them. moving constantly shows he is unstable, unreliable and is not a real man!! these women can make it just fine without him--making their own decisions, working, raising families--he controls everything--no wonder theyre all miserable--they've been brainwashed by his dictatorship and he aint got a clue what true love is.

Good point.👍 I believe Kody blamed Christine for the non pursuit of that house, thereafter, the abuse escalated, but he didn’t expect her to tap out. Withdrawing affection from Christine was punishment. Everything Robyn said is a lie.

Cody is not legally married , but to one , Robyn, so the others could really go and get married now if they wanted to. If something happened to Cody ,Robyn would take everything. I remember watching this show all the time . I just see clips now. Meri divorced Cody, so he could married Robyn , so Cody could adopt Robyn's kids. And Robyn was the only one living in her own home. Why didn't Robyn divorce Cody after the adoption was done.?? And Cody married Meri again, Because Meri wanted to adopt a baby for her own. Cody wouldn't do adopt for him & Meri. Now in a clip I seen Cody talks about his youngest child , and it being the last , I STILL THINK HE WANTS A New WIFE.!!!!!!!

I mean what else did they think. I understand that people have their own beliefs and that's great. This kind of situation is emotional. There are real feelings and jealousies involved. It's got to be hard for everyone. Everyone just looks so unhappy right now. It's not like the Duggar family. This is a completely different situation.

My heart breaks for Christine, bc at the end of the day he will do what he wants and she will not be thought of.

Dude l am happy with my wife... Especially since watching this, all the drama this dude has with multiple wives...Looks like a total headache! Then you consider all their kids thrown into the mix...

As someone who watched from the beginning, Robin coming was the beginning of the end esp after so much time had passed between last wife and the new one. The three had figured out how to coexist and they had a system, the new wife and clear favouritism made everything implode

I think maybe it's time for them to all move on no one is happy anymore, I feel bad for the children caught in the middle so sad.

You lack insight. Meri actually cares the most. She simply didn't want to force Kody to love her. She's lived in hope this entire time, that he would, of his own volition, choose to make their relationship a priority, to love her profoundly - but she needed it to be his own choice, not because she nagged him into something he didn't really want. So, when he kept pushing her out, she accepted it. That said, she's always wanted to be accepted more than any of the wives - both by him and the other wives. It's why she continues to hang on. She's angry, but she's so angry because she cares so deeply. Its awful that she can't seem to realize that she is in love with/attached to, a complete nothing, who will never give her what she wants or needs. Her attitude is childish. You can't force people to love you. But, you must also work to fix relationships. You have to risk getting hurt by being vulnerable with them, in order to find out if you can have a great relationship, and get your needs met. But, I think she really doesn't do this work, because deep down, she knows these relationships are by nature dysfunctional and sick, and cannot be made healthy and joyful. She doesn't try to fix them, because she's not willing to be faced with that reality yet. She's still got her head in the sand, scared to leave and begin her life for real...

I’ve never watched this show on television, but have recently begun watching these KZread snippets. It seems like every issue that they have, it involves some crazy decision about moving somewhere. Omg! If I hear someone complain about moving or NOT wanting to move one more time, I’m going to scream! I can’t believe that ANYONE would want to live this way🤦‍♀️

Christine doesn't want to see Kody with Robyn. He isn't romantic with Janelle or Meri. So it's obviously just Robyn she's jealous of

Robyn will be responsible for everything under her and Kodys name because she is married to him, if something happened to him not around. Sounds like ti me they dont want to live together means they want to have or pretend they have seperate lives when with Kody. Usually they all live together. Kody allowing the seperation now they dont ever want to be living together. Alot of jealousy now if if they cant then why are they together period

This good example of why Polygamy doesn't work.. If it works they would want live in home.

I have an idea for y'all. How about give up these GIANT home ideas. How about build the wives that want a separate house on the property a reasonably sized home of their own. Build a smaller group home for the ones that want that. Spend the same amount of money on each person's section. Then if Christine moves away one day, you can use her house as an airbnb rental. Don't spend ALL your money on the houses. Save some to buy out anyone who wants to leave and offer someone else in the family a chance to buy their former section. If one mom or dad dies, vote on who the next resident should be who wants it. Simple enough. If money is invested or set aside on CDs untouched for the purpose of being able to buy out anyone who leaves, then great. If no one ever leaves and all die, after a sale all money can be divided equally among all children. Otherwise, they never really get an inheritance. The house just keeps getting its sections recycled. Live beneath your means and this wouldn't be hard.

Kody and Robyn need to go back and watch this episode. Such hypocrites!

I so feel Christine's pain. She just wants her freedom....She's entitled to it. She's good mother but its time for her to get to know herself.

I was watching earlier that Christine used to feel like she didn't have a voice with her relationship with Kody and she started to have more of a voice. I'm wondering if she's associating the Lehi house with her feelings of not having a voice. And that's why she's so strong about having a voice now and not wanting to live with them because she didn't have a voice before.
