I think it is because Dayton has special needs. I can’t remember what it is specifically, but I believe he has a form of autism. I could be wrong on that, but I know for sure he has special needs because they have said that before. Translations and college would be a lot harder for him, so she would need to have him close for that.

That Vegas never felt like "home". But that somehow trumps all of his wive's and all of his kid's reasons for not moving.

That's not what marriage is in his belief system. It's about HIM being the leader, and head of the family and the wives all agree to the same. Because with multiple wives, the man had to make the ultimate decisions if the wives don't all get on board. I’ve always liked Janelle: the way she expresses her thoughts is just awesome. “There was a lot less judgment on our family in Vegas… it was very freeing and it was good for our kids.” You’re like man doesn’t any parent want that? “Look you have a gut and I get it but I think your gut could be expressed a different way.” She understood his side but wanted him to remain considerate of other opinions. This I have used in my own life: “I’m not praying with idea we are supposed to move” or praying a certain outcome another person wants for me Go Janelle, tell it like it is ma’am!

I love how one wife goes "yeah this is a decision for all of us." but the husband in his interview says that it's his decision and HE leads.

I feel like every decision and move is because of Robyn. It always seems to be about what she wants, how she feels, her kids and how her kids will cope. It is many, many years later and I still feel the same way I did about her when she first came on the scene, looking like a little, lost puppy!!

I think it is just because Robin wants to move and wanted to do it before her kids started school. They also wanted to make money selling their houses so that they would have more financial security for Robin's young children, since they know the show can't last forever and Kody will be super old by the time they are grown. So, it is pretty much all about Robyn's kids, and what is in their best interest.

Watching back.. This move was such a bad idea! All the stress in Flagstaff and they went into more debt and couldn’t find homes. And then Covid happened. And now they’re all separated. Leaving Vegas and these homes was the worst idea.

Oh wow, looking back on this scene just says it all for me. Ironic that three of the wives all clearly voiced their desire to stay in Vegas and not move, yet Robyn claims that Vegas is "not her home" (oh what a shocker!) and explains her desperate "need" to follow Dayton to college (because yanno, it's not like he's an adult and incapable of being independent, and it's a totallyyyyy normal thing to do to uproot a whole family to follow one child to college... 😑) so they need to figure out where their next move..... As if Robyn was actually clueless on the whole matter when she really knows what's up because she was the entire driving force behind the move. Ugh she's just an abysmal human being, her fake front she puts on in front of the other wives is disturbing. What a horrible woman. Jenelle figured it out right away when Robyn spoke up, and I think Christine figured it out soon after that whole talk as well. Back then, I never understood why the hell they moved when they had it made in their cul-de-sac and all that work and effort put into their homes in Vegas. I suppose I should have known it all had to do with Robyn. God, I've never disliked someone so much that I've actually never met the way I do with Robyn.

Honestly if you feel like you don’t fit in at your hometown, move to Vegas. Everyone in Vegas is so accepting and loving, and absolutely no one will judge you because there is always someone crazier than you are. Vegas is not bad and one of the wives makes it look like it’s a horrible place, when it was the place that has welcomed many people.

I believe that this is when Christine realized that Robyn was manipulative and calculated… she caught in to Robyn convincing Kody that they needed to be with Dayton. I think that’s why Christine bought the house when they moved to Flagstaff and the other 3 rented, then a few years later after she got some equity in the house she had Kory removed off of the deed bc she knew she needed money to get out ! It is just disgusting to me that Robyn feels like her grown son has to be with Kody , who is not even his biological son, but she’s OK with him never being around any other kids !!

Kids go away to college all the time, on their own, what’s wrong with her kid that he needs to be close to her?

Apparently, they live in Flagstaff, Arizona now. So, I guess Kody got his way (as usual).

It seems as if STRESS is the main foundation of the relationship among them all, yet they cover their issues with prayer as a coping mechanism. The bags under their eyes says enough.

The four houses on a cul de sac seems like the best living solution possible. Why would they leave that? Had friends in Las Vegas, said if you stay off the strip, it is a nice Place to live. Kody is disgusting and a manipulator. Why do I Watch??

All the wives are saying they don't want to rock the boat or mess up their relationships with cody. But in any relationship you can't just agree to everything so you get along. Moving me my junior year pretty much ruined my life. I hope it works out.

This is a difficult situation. I feel sad for Meri. And if the discussion is only focused in Robyn's kid then where's the fairness to the other wives? It's tough enough compromising with one spouse, not to talk of 3 other people. And then one of them feels like he HAS to lead however he feels? Yikes!!!

Janelle is so beautiful. All of them are beautiful but janelle is just my person on the show. Her ability to handle emotions is what I strive to be like.

I love when polygamist talk about judgment and acceptance. While watching them and their relationships with each other and all the judgment and wanting acceptance in their own house and family.

Robin would be happiest if she was the only wife. Just wait they will get what they deserve. Meri is the first wife the main wife till she came along.

It sounds like he's twisting their minds so he can get what he wants and what he wants, from what the women were saying, isn't beneficial for the kids and that's what's pathetic. So essentially they're praying only to accept kodys idea as they're own, at least that's what I'm hearing from Kody. Maybe Kody should pray for what's best with his family. Everyone's safe, happy and healthy. Why can't he just be content without throwing an uproar that's gonna cost millions?

I haven’t watched this show for about a year - it all got too silly for me when McKelty and Tony were planning a wedding with 4,000,000 tacos - so am nearly falling off my chair that they are moving again !! The wives look exhausted in this shot and Kody’s single-mindedness is disturbing. Okay, I get its tv and the editors want to build the drama but geez ..... why can they be democratic and take a vote ?

I still don’t know the real reason why they moved from Las Vegas. I really don’t think they really admitted to it onscreen. Going from houses in Las Vegas to rentals in Flagstaff doesn’t make sense.

This show started when I was 13 and my dad was adamant about me not watching it. He had never done that before or since. Now I understand why.
