Alexi is so very handsome AND he has a sense of the absurd AND a twinkle in his eye. What a killer combination! The Chateau is very big and I’m sure needs LOTS of plasterboard. So Alexi could be around a lot!? All under Philip’s expert guidance, of course!!

Phillip, you do know that Magnolia trees tend to sulk when you cut them or move them. My daughter in law gave her established tree a good trim and hers died, mine has sulked twice and did not produce flowers for at least five years, I did talk to it the year before last to say if there were no flowers the next year then it was going. It produced flowers prolifically last year. So you need to go out and talk to it nicely on a regular basis just to encourage it...Good luck😁

You are my most favorite people to watch! So sweet and amazing. My husband and I renovated a 3 bdrm house to make a HUGE dining room, and add a second floor with 5 bedrooms. So much work... and so many wonderful memories. He died years ago... but the memories are so lovely. He was a smart aleck like Phillip. YES, thanks for keeping politics out of your channel. Getting away from all the hate is the reason I search for something different and fun. The difficulties you face are so real. Like having trees blown down in a storm; so typical. Most folks never consider the costs of damage done by huge trees that are so lovely. Trees are perfect until they become deadly with damage and removal is highly expensive. Please keep the channel the way it is and do not drop hints about politics or try to convince us of some opinion or the other.

Philip holding a chain saw over his head was terrifying! So much going on!

Fabulous episode. I was disappointed when there wasn’t an episode last Sunday but this was well worth waiting for., Some intense footage of the masons building up the brick supports and then installing the iron beam. Philip and Ana you are such a cute couple. I've been watching your channel for a few months and enjoy it immensely. I can definitely relate to what you are doing as we have renovated our humble little three bedroom, two bath home twice since we moved in 35 years ago and are now renovating the front bathroom. We tore it out last October (2021) thinking we would have it completed by now. It was not to be. Thankfully we left the toilet in place. It's a blessing since we have 5 adults living in the house. The electrical is done, but the plumbing, which requires the relocation of underground pipes, is sill waiting for a reliable plumber. You probably know how that is. Keep up the good work.

Do not despair! This too shall pass! We had a loft conversion stall and take 5 years to complete. Its done, finished and we´re happy!

I'm binging the entire channel from the start, and it's just getting better with every video. I'm not usually someone who actually laughs out loud at videos, but I find myself doing just that when watching your videos, and this one was especially good 😂☺️ I'm so looking forward to seeing the kitchen come together (so I guess I'll move on to the next one now 😆)

The new iron beam is an RSJ - or rolled steel joist, and commonly used everywhere.

That music you use....its in the last section of this video....it akin to 'The girl from Impanema'. Perfectly evocative of 'smooth' and 'facitiousness'. I love your style. 😄🤣👍💐💜

And here I was expecting the women to be outside, waving their tear-soaked hankies at Alexi while watching him drive away.

To rasusure you, I had a magnolia tree cut to about one and a half meter from the ground and it grew back, even more beautiful than before, in only one or two years.
