Gorgeous! My tip is to plant the basil with the strawberries, the both need much more water than the rest and the buggs that like feasting on strawberries don't like the scent of basil so it's a good pairing. Ziggy is looking like a proper V now! If ever there was a dog that exemplifies why Viszlas are called "velcro dogs" it's him! ❤️

Tomatoes and basil are companion plants. May I suggest you place hay around your strawberry plants. This will keep the fruit high and dry above the bed. Coming along beautifully ... and yes to 'no dig'.

Ziggy is such a scene stealer. He has ZERO clue he's not a puppy anymore. The kitchen is solid, you guys nailed the style, colors and appliances for a nice chateau. The kitchen sets the tone for any home and you guys have the best chateau kitchen on youtube! P.s. the great thing about a deutsche lave-vaisselle is only Philippe will be able to operate it so Anna doesn't have to ever do the dishes.

The kitchen looks amazing!! Maybe you could just switch the faucets, if holes are same. The larger one would look stunning on the island. Love all the trim work and painting looks great. 👍

I think switching wouldn't make much sense, since the big sink on the side is the washing-up sink, where the high tap is definitely needed.

Anna, with your lettuce (salad), only cut off the leaves and it will keep regrowing all summer. Best to take the large leaves from outside and work inwards. Delicious! Beautiful kitchen.

i can't imagine my life with hot and cold water taps separated anymore. it's such a quality of life upgrade.

Maybe just switch the faucets? I think the higher one would be so pretty on the island. or are the holes different?

I think that's a good idea but they already cut the whole. But maybe they see this comment and change the faucets.

Yours is perhaps my favorite kitchen of all time. Absolutely love it. In our kitchen, we have solid brass faucets from Barber Wilsons London. We found when we did a water test that lead was leaching into our water from these taps when we first turned them on in the morning. Now we let the water run for a bit first thing before using it. Just an FYI.

The big taps look fine,visually, to me personally.

The kitchen is looking incredible! All the natural light flooding in enhances your fabulous paint shades. Everything (including your stunning tiles, taps, range etc.) is beautiful! Well done for planning and creating such a stunning room, perfectly in tune with the building. ❤️ PS you could also count Ziggy as an orange accessory. 😉

Best treat is warm tomatoes from the garden. If they're homegrown there's nothing to harm. A little dirt is added minerals.

Can’t wait to see your grandma’s painting on the wall. Are you going to do curtains? Geraniums on the windowsills. It’s a lovely room and will definitely inspire delicious food!

I dunno, in summertime maybe nothing at the windows since there’s sunshine for so many hours. As the days get shorter though if it was my space I’d definitely like something between me and the big black windows when cooking at night. Simple cotton lace panels. And frankly geraniums fit in almost anywhere. There’s nothing haughty about this kitchen. Imho. 🙏

I've mentioned this before, but if ever we had opportunity to come to Europe, this would be our destination. Lovely work, you two. What a blessing you are to the community. Everything is amazing!!! Blessings!!!

Totally get why he wanted a Miele dish washer. We call em the Mercedes of the appliences. They just work and they work forever. good stuff

That huge blank white wall above the cooker needs something. Perhaps a shelf for pots or plants or perhaps faux bricks or stone?

The beauty of watching this couple restore and create their best lives is truly refreshing. There seems to be a true respect of self and each other as they lovingly restore their home. Refreshing!

OH! Love Ziggy -- he is a cuddler!❤❤ Basil loves to be planted close to tomatoes!! Mine are so happy under and near the tomato branches!! Also, marigolds planted in the garden keep away the pests!

Chiming in here to add to the other mentions -- the arched tap needs to go in the kitchen island to make that sink more accessible to fill large pots next to the cooker!

I love your kitchen so much that I had my grey maple 4 yr old cabinets painted antique white. Anna get some EPSOM salt and sprinkle like you're feeding chickens every two weeks on all your beds and water well for healthy vibrant foliage and endless blooms.

This is the most beautiful kitchen I have ever seen. All you need to make it perfect is my Vietri Compagna dishes and my red plaid Le Creuset dutch oven. The colors for your kitchen are amazing. The room is elegant and friendly at the same time.

My German mother in law said that we must always buy German white goods. We tried various washing machines that weren’t and they lasted just a few years. Our first Miele washing machine lasted for over 13 years and we gave it to charity still working but replaced it with another Miele. Value for money just for the duration of its lifetime. Our Bosch dishwasher is still going after 15 years plus.

Anna, try growing Basil in pots, set them in fairly deeply because they do not like the wind/draughts. I have huge sucess this way. I stopped growing Basil in the garden because we have a lot of wind in this area of Canada. I watch your programme every day, it is fabulous. Thank you.

The kitchen is perfect! Philipp reminds me of my dad who would have me go into the attic to spray the wasp nests, crawl into the window wells to rescue the toads, dig the deeper holes in the yard because he was too big to fit. My brother was smart enough to refuse, but like most little girls with wonderful papas, I adored my dad. The potager looks grand. Your subscribers make good helpful comments and I learn from them, too.

Check the acid in the soil of the strawberries; they may want more. I make a egg shell, coffee ground, and banana peel concoction puréed in a blender. I mix with water then pour around the plants on the soil. Plants love it.

Started following her during the pandemic. My garden has improved so much. Laura is a great teacher and just a wonderful and joyful person to watch. Her husband is just as nice. They built their channel from scratch. Aaron lives cameras and needed something to film. Laura loves garden and her husband. She gave him 1 year permission to film her and the rest is history. Enjoy! For your garden I would love to send you some Thai Red Roselle. It is a hibiscus plant, the leaves are edible, the plant itself is beautiful and forms calyxes that can be dried for tea or made into jam.

Basil planted with strawberries helps with bugs but more important you need to pack new plants with straw yo keep water humidity...hence strawberries
